the stoner in me just realized this released on 420!

In America that date refers to drugs, in Germany it refers to Adolf Hitler...

Sure it does; it was the day he was defeated. That's a good thing right?

Garnett Lee on a 1up special said after trying this at GDC, he thought this is what the Sonic franchise should have evolved into. Interesting concept.

I just noticed that there are two versions of Excitbots listed on Amazon.

There the game only for $39.99 and there's the game plus Wii Wheel for $49.99.  Is this new information or have I just not been paying enough attention?

I've really been meaning to pick up a second Wheel, but I can't stand to drop $14.99 on one (the price everyone seems to sell them for) when Nintendo's SRP is only $9.99.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

That's a good sign that Nintendo will support more of their hardware with multiple games. Granted a piece of plastic is a bit different from the M+ but it is a possible sign that they are at least willing to consider releasing multiple games with the same preripheral or even make multiple games that support said products. I really want a justification for Wii Speak other than Animal Crossing.

I'm also glad that the game is only $40 instead of $50. Cheaper games means I can grab more of them when I get a new job.

Now all they need is to give us an F-Zero wii that supports the wheel and people will cry from happiness.

And at 40 bucks? double the awesome.

A lower price is not good. Now I am more likely to buy this game instead of catching up on my ever increasing backlog of games.

This is one expensive generation... because there are too many good games! Hah! :)

True that. Lots of good games. I haven't bought this many games in a long time, thought school may have had something to do with it. I'm glad I took a year off because I can afford more games. If I find a good job then it would be even better.

What kind of **** is this?  Exclusive debut on GT?  They could've just made this available during GDC and have the trailer show up EVERYWHERE.

The pandemonium in that trailer makes me want this game. It is almost like Smash Brother chaos with mini challenges. Very excited now.

This looks like it will be the weirdest craziest racing game I've ever seen!

Can't wait to play it.

I wonder when it's out over here in Euroland.

The prospect of racing with Ladybugs and praying mantis is too much. I hope this one lasts longer on store shelves than Excite truck did.

Considering how well the last one sold and how many more people own Wii's now I think this one should do really well. I think the prospect of another quality online Wii game alone will spur a good number of sales.

The original did well by itself, despite a learning curve to overcome and little hype when compared to something like "Twilight Princess".

I think "Excite Bots" will do well. This game looks to have massive appeal with both gamers and casual gamers, which could lead to better and warmer word of mouth, especially if the online delivers.

Just checked it's not out until bloody August over here.

BTW: F-Zero has no business using the Wii Wheel.

I can think of no way to implement it without gimping the controls.

You need quick turns in F-Zero something that the set up cannot adequately provide.

It needs to steer with the nunchuck! (F-Zero that is, Excitetruck/ExciteBots is a very different game and designed around Wiimote turning)

You think F-Zero pilots got it any easier?  MKWii has quick turns, try harder with the wheel next time.
