It could also mean that Ubisoft is just going to delay games until the system starts getting popular.

Your just like me, I'm a sucker for collectibles. When I went to New York one year, I spent like 3 hours in the Nintendo World Store and left with a Varia Suit Samus statue made by First 4 Figures. Cost me a pretty penny but only 2500 were made, so I couldn't pass up the chance. When it comes to games, I always buy the "Limited/Collector's Editions".

I'm a sucker for Collector's/Limited Editions, and I'm really hyped for this game.

DAMNIT!, I traded in this game a little over a year ago to go towards the 3DS. Now I wish I had it still.

Well if it ends up being a retail game, then I can see them giving you some "Ghost Coins" to start off with. Kind of like what EA did with Battleforge.

TalkBack / Ghost Recon on Wii U Will Have In-Game Purchases
« on: March 19, 2012, 12:52:06 PM »

The cheap or potentially free downloadable shooter on Wii U will have DLC.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/29563

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Online, which is coming to Wii U around the system's launch, is slated to have in-game purchases, according to a member of the development team.

The game is currently in beta on PC, and shows off a store lets you buy new items with in-game currency that you can earn while playing or you can buy "Ghost Coins" with real-world money. According to our source, this will be nearly identical to how it works on the Wii U.

The developer didn't mention many specifics about the controller, but did make the point to say that you'll be able to hot-switch your weapons and gear between respawns, which is a likely use for the touch screen on the Wii U controller.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Online is currently in beta testing on PC. It's been in development on Wii U since approximately March 2011. You can read our E3 2011 preview and impressions for more info.

At this point, I'm not expecting to be able to take a Super Wii until right after Thanksgiving.
I don't know. I think Nintendo might want the system out before thanksgiving for the black friday shopping crowd.

I'm a huge fan of the franchise, so it better come to NA or I'm going to have a bone to pick with Capcom!

That's good to hear. I've gotten platinum 3 years in a row, but I have a feeling if Wii U doesn't come out before the cut off point I might not make it this year  :'( . But then again, A lot of games will be coming out in Q1 of next year.

I got sick of Call of Duty games after World at War. Now, every single game is exactly the same, gameplay, everything. Each new game is just a $60 DLC map pack for the game before it.

TalkBack / Re: Wii U's Online May Use EA Origin

I'm a supporter of Origin. The service is still young and will go through many changes. I highly doubt that the main online service will be Origin, but if origin becomes used then we can see a lot of high end titles from EA. I think its a good thing.

TalkBack / Re: Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny Review
« on: November 15, 2011, 02:55:34 PM »
The last Harvest Moon game I purchased was Magical Melody and I've been interested in getting a new one, spin off or main line. I've heard good things about the Rune Factory series and was waiting for the second console entry to see if Natsume improved on the game. However, I've read some mixed reception to Tides of Destiny by fans of Harvest Moon/Rune Factory. That makes me wary. Then again, maybe the differences between the games won't matter to a newcomer like me.

Ah, this reminds me that I haven't played much in to Magical Melody. I should probably do that first.

Really it's up to you. Rune Factory just adds a RPG combat system into the mix. Plus on top of making farming tools, you can also make weapons and all that.

Wow, bundles coming out left and right. You can tell they're just trying to get the last little bit of selling life the Wii before Wii U.

This is great news even though I'm not going to buy the game (I prefer games that don't slap me around until I make it a sandwich and do the dishes). It gives Wii U some hardcore cred right out of the gate. Hopefully the game comes out on all 3 consoles on the same day.

Actually, its coming out of the other two consoles earlier, but the Wii U version will have several more features that the others don't. The same goes for Arkham City. I think I'm going to buy it because I told myself I'm going to buy every launch title that day so....time to start saving that money.

I loved my Gamecube. Mind you I really only played Phantasy Star Online but still. I find it amusing that the only games that were really online for the Gamecube were MMO's.
