That's probably my favourite part of any Mafia game is taking a character and hamming it up (not that I've played too many Mafia games ... yet). I had fun hamming it up as Extreme French-Bird Jacques in the Animal Crossing New Leaf Mafia too. I love the role-play that people get into.

I loved your French-Bird Jacques roleplay in New Leaf Mafia. It's actually the avatar I still picture you by despite all the other pics you've used over the years.
Merci, mon gars!

As a BG&E fan I've been routinely dissapointed by Ubisoft since 2003 so I'm not holding my breath, but I won't deny the hype is real when reading speculation it might be in production after all AND headed for a Nintendo console.

I wasn't sure if your speculation was related to it being in production at all or just to the combo of being in prod and also a Switch exclusive but
BGE has been confirmed to be currently in production
so maybe no need to speculate on that at least.
As for it being a Switch timed exclusive, that's definitely a rumour but it comes from a credible source. I think it will at least come to Switch, even if it doesn't turn out to be a timed exclusive.

General Chat / Free Comic Book Day 2017 - Includes A Zelda Comic
« on: May 05, 2017, 06:27:00 PM »
Hi Gang,
Tomorrow is Free Comic Book Day, Saturday May 6, in North America and possibly other parts of the world.
Here's the website: http://www.freecomicbookday.com/
Of particular interest to denizens of this forum is that there will be a Legend of Zelda related comic available.

That looks cool! I hope I can pick that one up.
Other comics I am interested in include the Riverdale and Betty & Veronica comics, Bongo (Simpsons), Rick and Morty, Keyser Soze, Captain Canuck, Wonder Woman and maybe a wacky pick that I have no idea about. I don't think I will be able to procure all of those choices but I'll go and see what's what.
There are a couple of locations in my area that are hosting major events and I definitely want to hit those. That'll probably be it for me but they do look like fun!

How 'bout all y'all? Ya gonna go check out Der Comeeks?

BOTW for Wii U passes 100K in Japan. Very respectable.

As for my self-sacrifice play on Day 2, I got tripped up by thread closing. I had hoped to sway some votes toward Mop it up, who I was pretty sure by then was Mafia, but I put up my impassioned plea way too close to thread-closing time. I had read the timestamps incorrectly.
Ah, that explains it! I was wondering why you didn't tie it up to save yourself. I was actually sad that Thatguy chose you to vote out, I was enjoying your character.
Thanks! That's probably my favourite part of any Mafia game is taking a character and hamming it up (not that I've played too many Mafia games ... yet). I had fun hamming it up as Extreme French-Bird Jacques in the Animal Crossing New Leaf Mafia too. I love the role-play that people get into.

Good game everyone. Kudos to BeautifulShy for PM-fooling me, at least until it was too late. I was also briefly fooled by Insano's PM claim but again, by the time I realized, it was too late. As for my self-sacrifice play on Day 2, I got tripped up by thread closing. I had hoped to sway some votes toward Mop it up, who I was pretty sure by then was Mafia, but I put up my impassioned plea way too close to thread-closing time. I had a back-up plan to try and force a tie and potentially save myself but by the time I went back, thread was locked. I had thought it was locked in error and even PMed pokepal about it but then checked again and realized it was all on me. I had read the timestamps incorrectly. What an idiot! Just remember kids, do all your fun stuff when you're young cuz it sure sucks gettin' old.

And massive kudos to Thatguy. Masterfully played all the way through. #PoorGumshoe indeed!

Whispering Willows now officially on my radar. I love puzzle adventure games like this one.
Thanks for the review, Steef!

NWR Mafia Games / Re: Mafia 73: Phoenix Wright: Turnabout Mafia: Day 2
« on: April 28, 2017, 11:19:04 AM »
Whoa whoa whoa there! You young whippersanppers sure worked yerselves into a fine lather there.
Here's the tally so far (cuz pokepits ain't doin' his dang job)
BeautifulShy - 1
Nickmitch - 2 (soon to change to 1, since I will shortly be unvoting him)
Insanolord - 2
Fatty - 3

Look folks, this is gonna be a hard chat but it's time for some truth.
I'm a Townie. Have been all my life. I ain't no city mafia girl and I ain't married to the mob like in that movie. I ain't married to no one.
I'm pretty sure I know a few others who are Townies too but I ain't no snitch.
But ya gotta look at the facts, folks. Who's layin' low? Who's startin' bandwagons? Who's jumpin' on them?
Right now, the mafia is playin' us Townies like washboards and jugs. Hell, even if I do get this target off my back today, they'll probably hit me tonight in my sleep anyway. Well, I've had a good lfe, full o' tasty donuts and barking at shady lookin' folks tryin' to get past my gate. So I'm ready to sacrifice. Instead of keeping the nickmitch bandwagon up high in the hopes of increasing votes for him and saving myself, I'm unvoting nickmitch and turning my sights on some mafia-esque behaviors.
That there Khushrenada started yesterday's bandwagon against our beloved Townie Tophatant and it worked. Today he seems to be targeting Insanolord. Joke vendetta or Townie targeting? You decide. I know what I think.
Today, we got Mop It Up acting all innocent and jumpin' on today's bandwagon without any dang thought or sense. These folks, I'm pointin' my powdered-sugar-covered fingers square at 'em. They're Mafia. Probably.

Anyway, I'm pullin' this here trigger and I want my fellow Townies to follow.
EDIT: I was readin' over the threads again and I chnaged my mind. It's a woman's prerogative! Ha!
Un-VOTE: Khushrenada.
VOTE: Mop it up
I thank you for your time.

Short game = not a con, in my books. So many games try for "epic" and vastly overstay their welcome.

NWR Mafia Games / Re: Mafia 73: Phoenix Wright: Turnabout Mafia: Day 2

Well that was sure a fascinatin' first day, wasn't it, darlin's?
Lots of blunderbuss and bluster by a buncha youse so far. Beware the pig that squeals too loud, he just wants to skip bein' dinner, as my GrandPappy always told me.

So, what to do? I like that Khushrenada feller but all his hootin' and hollerin' makes him a suspicious varmint too. That BeautifulShy is as sweet as pie, which either makes her nice or dumb. Probably just nice. I'll reserve judgement on those two for now. But I ain't the judge! Snort!

I can't understand what the heck thatguy is sayin' half the time. Might be on the Mary Jane if ya know what I mean. I'll hafta watch out for that one(guy).
Stogi? Well he's named after a smelly cigar, so that's no good in my books. And Lucario may or may not be the name of the new Chevrolet. Can't figure that one.
And Mop it up, doesn't. These floors are still filthy. Gonna have to speak to that one.

Well look at me, carryin' on. Gotta get down to business!

I can get with what folks are sayin' about that nickmitch. Also, never trust a critter with two first names, as my ol' Aunt DarlaBelle used to say.

So, Un-Vote: Nickmitchfor now, anyway.

63
Comedic retaliation my Aunt Fanny, honey!

I would like to sincerely thank you, Silenced, for outing yourself so early in the game.
Protecting Stogi AND lucario? Clearly you are in league. Bold strategy indeed but we see through you, youngster whippersnapper.
Brothers and sisters, we just gotta unite! Join me in voting Silenced before it is too late and he takes all our donuts! gets us all killed!

of course, if you just want to change your vote now, Silenced, I'd probably join you

64
It's your Oldbag pal, checkin' in. I sure do hope no shenanigans have commenced or I might have to write y'all up. Right after I finish this bag o' goodies. Yum!
Also,
Vote: Silenced
I don't rightly recall why at the moment but I just have a feeling that ol' Silenced a done me wrong somewheres along the line, if ya knows what I mean. Turnabout is fair play and all that, if you'll excuse the pun! Ha!

Blasphemy! I've never wronged anyone in these games, except maybe Khush at some points but he probably deserved it let's be honest

Vote Fatty_The_Hutt. As the Ace Attorney lingo goes, TAKE THAT!
Well now ain't this a pickle? I was just on my way to change my vote (after having a well deserved donut break) to someone like Lucario, just to get at least one person with more than one vote. But if I do that, Lucario will probably turn around and vote for me, making another dumb ol' tie.

So I need some backup, here. Anyone else want to vote for Lucario? Or maybe Stogi? He hasn't checked in yet, and, as Silenced brutally taught me last game, that's mightily suspicious!

O'course, y'all could just vote for Silenced too. I'd be down with that. You just know he's some sort of bad guy. It's right there in his name! He wants you to be Silenced!

65

If the band is riding in a wagon, how can they be marching?
Well gosh darn, you silly, ain't it obvious? They got them there treadmills in the wagon up there with 'em.

I thought it was way too good of a coincidence to pass up in meeting my friend's Pokémon obsessed kid the same day as I came into an extra 3DS.

I checked with my friend yesterday, and he is going to let me give it to her. Now I'm just waiting to hear on whether she prefers Sun or Moon. I'm so excited for her, she is going to have so much fun. I'll drop it off with her dad on Saturday.
You, sir, are a saint. Very nice.

1. I love Chinatown. Fantastic film. Did you ever see The Two Jakes? I recall liking it but that was a long time ago. I wonder if it holds up? Not as good as Chinatown of course.
2. Maxi is female? I am embarrassed to learn this since I have been referring to Maxi as "he" lately. Whoops. Sorry.
3. Not sure about Morari but I think there are a couple of folks around here that have transitioned or are going through it. If any transitioners are reading this, I just want to say, congrats! You are brave and I/we support you.

Hello Canada!
Both Amazon Canada and Best Buy Canada are selling Star Fox Zero (With Star Fox Guard) for $39.99. Lowest price evah! methinks.
I tried Star Fox from the library once. It was very enjoyable. Would like to try the co-op mode.
The kids at Pietriots raved about the game.
More than once
They also really liked Star Fox Guard

All that said, I am still undecided if I will buy the game or just rely on the library copies.

I should buy it, right?

No. That is a joke. You can come out of your music bunkers. However, I still think I'll just create a thread in the Funhouse anyways with my links. It is still my home planet and it still needs me.
Note:Khushrenada died on his way back to his home planet

In.
Yes, I have question yes!
for this rule
Quote from: pokemafia
This game uses a Majority Rule. Each Day period will last 48 hours or until a majority is reached. For example if there are 16 players than if 9 of those players vote for a single player and that majority holds for two hours then the day ends and that player will get removed from the game.
If the day suddenly ends in the middle of a "day", how will we know when night actions begin and end? Or no matter when a "day" ends, will night actions go until a set time (like until 8a.m the following day or something)?

Also, one more question, why does it hurt when I pee?

75
Ugh, this sucjs to hear. I've bought 9 packs already and haven't opened them up yet. Are you collecting these Uncle Bob?
You have to ask?
