So well written. This has been an enormous loss, and one that I've inexplicably taken very hard and very personally for someone I've never met. This memorial beautifully sums it all up. He truly loved what he did, and his joyous enthusiasm made us love it, too. He interacted "directly" with Nintendo's fans and put a genuinely happy face on his company and products with every appearance he made. It really feel as though I've lost a friend, and that hit home for me when I broke the news of his passing to my 9-year-old daughter. She had seen many of his Nintendo Directs and immediately recognized him by name. And the very first thing she did was cry. Indeed, we have all lost a friend, whether we had the opportunity to meet him or not. He had the most lovely and joyous soul, and he loved to share his joyousness with everyone. I don't believe I'll ever come to miss him less than I do now. Thank you for writing this wonderful memorial to him.
