There's still time to start a movement on the ballot to get Ray in Smash 4, and then they would be obligated to make an amiibo of him. Heck may as well get him in Skylanders as well while they're at it, he could ride the bear.

The icon has gone in Europe, where there was 6 is now 5.

1.) How are the online quests? Good netcode? Can you chat freely? Friends only or can you play with anyone?
2.) Will you be reviewing the dlc?
3.) Does hiring ghost NPCs break the balance of the game? Can they be max level and destroy everything or do they suck up exp that would better be used on a permanent party member?

I would say there is more motivation in Minecraft than in Mario Maker. In Minecraft there are goals and achievements to go for, like killing bosses or creating powerful weapons and armour, also there is a long build up period of resource gathering before you can just build whatever you want. On the other hand in Mario Maker (I presume) there is no sense of progression since you get everything from the get go.

The thing is, that wouldn't explain why they abandoned putting Wii games on the eShop.

They probably stopped because the Wii games weren't selling that well compared to the other systems on the eShop.  Which makes sense because the Wii U's core audience is hardcore Nintendo fans who probably still own all their Wii games.  Since the Wii U can play Wii games, not hard to imagine Wii U owners didn't feel a need to buy the eShop versions since they already own the exact same games and can still perfectly play them on the Wii U.

In comparison, games on every other system sell better because you need to download them if you want to play them at all on the Wii U.
The Wii games are done, they are even still rated by the esrb, and they lose absolutely nothing by releasing them so it's nothing to do with cost. I think the lack of US Wii games is just due to scheduling and wanting to spread the releases over a larger period of time. I believe Metroid Prime Trilogy and Mario Galaxy 2 are in the top 20 best selling eshop games but I would have to double check that.

I think the bosses are easily the worst part of Hyrule Warriors, they take FOREVER to kill and usually involve just holding the block button until they show their weak points, then rinse and repeat 4 times over. The rest of the game though is great.

I saw Disaster: Day of Crisis for £2 the other day, but it's not worth even that.

Here is one of my favourite Iwata videos, he awkwardly sits down to discuss waifus with a developer of Love Plus. Smile on his face the entire time, probably realising how surreal his life was as a CEO of the world's greatest long standing game company.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is an incredible game, easily a top ten of all time for me. I never played the Wii U version but I hear that it is one of the rare cases of a 3rd game being optimised for Wii U and then ported to the other systems in the case of the directors cut.

It's XSEED, siliconera mentions "the last story" and that their readers should be familiar with the publisher, siliconera only cover Japanese games, add 2 and 2 together and you get XSEED. I say good for them, even though The Last Story would be a modest success by NOA's standards for XSEED it was their most profitable game ever, Devil's Third will fit in nicely with their niche portfolio of sub-100k sellers.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Fire Emblem Fates

The reusing of characters isn't exactly new, every fire emblem game except radiant dawn has had a pair of cavaliers, one red one green, one bold one reserved. Or how about a trio of pegasus sisters that share a bond so strong they can perform a unique chain attack, every game except awakening. It's not lazy, it's traditional AND lazy.

Why does it have to be both a handheld and a console? Why not just strictly a handheld that you can also happen to play on a TV, it doesn't even have to be HD either so they can keep development costs down, it worked for vita TV atleast on a technical scale. Nintendo's portables have always been more successful than their console counterparts, the market have spoken they do not like traditional Nintendo consoles.

I started monster hunter 4 ultimate a few days ago so we are in the same shoes Jonny, the biggest hurdle for me was finding out that the equipment box is inside your house and you cannot go inside if you have accepted a quest. There are item boxes outside your house but you cannot change equipment there. 20 hours in so far and the learning curve has been a lot more gental than I anticipated, although I reccommend if you have not done so already to watch some Gaijin Hunter on youtube.

After trying all the weapon tutorials I went with the charge blade since it has lots of options in battle but isn't just totally overwhelming like the insect glaive.

Good day all, I was looking at some HQ trailers on the EU eshop and saw that federation forces has a pegi 16 provisional rating, assuming it sticks this would be the second Metroid game to get a 16 rating after Other M (Prime trilogy got a 12). Make of that as you will but this game clearly isn't an attempt to make the series appeal to children, I think it's more of a way to appeal to a japanese audience with wacky minigames, chibi characters and local multiplayer.

On a side note Project Zero Maiden of Black Water will recieve a pegi 18, the only other nintendo published games I can think of like this are the 1st Bayonetta and Geist, also Fire Emblem Fates will still get a pegi 12 even though it got bumped up to 15 in japan and Genei Ibun Roku #FE will get a 16, for comparison Shin Megami Tensei 4 got a 12.

Whoa.   Okay, then it must get released in NA, right?

Disaster: Day of Crisis, Tingle's Rosey Ruppeeland, & that Fatal Frame 2 Wii remake say "hi".  Even if it does come out in NA, it'll flop just like all the other DQ games have. I wouldn't be surprised if they got outsold by the Danganronpa games on the Vita.
Dragon Quest IX was a success with help from Nintendo, same for other niche Japanese games like Monster Hunter, Bravely Default and Fire Emblem, so long as they don't push them out the door with little to no fanfare 7 & 8 could do great in the west.

I won't believe it till I see it but this would make sense, Horii has been talking about how he wants to reinvigorate the brand in the west starting with Dragon Quest Heroes, and Square Enix did recently send a cease and desist to the fan translation...

No vita game has sold a million, which really puts into perspective how much of a failure the system is, even compared to Wii U.

I was thinking the other day...what if there was no edge to the screen for a controller? I'd get rid of the edge of the screen. It would just look like joystick and d pad sticking out of the screen. Buttons would have color changing leds.
Wouldn't you just get the edges of the screen all fingerprinty and dirty from where you have to grip on?
