A weight loss program from a fat person
« on: November 19, 2007, 08:14:32 PM »
So I am a fat person, I enjoy video games quite a lot.  But I don't want to be fat forever, maybe before I am married I can lose some weight.  So here is what I do now.

I station an exercise bike right in front of my TV and right it for about 40 minutes while playing video games.

NOW, if you were a person looking on to this, would serious hilarity not ensue if you saw a fat guy in a basement with his shirt off and sweating like all hell on an exercise bike while playing Super Mario Galaxy?

I know I would be laughing.

Ooooooooh riiiih, night folks

My understanding is that the most frustrating thing about changing your fitness level is changing your metabolism. It's infuriatingly difficult. You can't eat less, you actually have to eat a lot. AND you have to burn all that energy to get your body in the mood to burn energy all the time. It's like some vicious contrarian catch-22: you can lose weight only if you keep eating, and exercise more.

That said, I figure WiiFit is a decent way to aerobicize and burn calories. Heck, that guy did Wii Sports for 30 minutes a day for X number of weeks and lost 9 pounds, and he didn't change ANY eating habits at all. I'm curious as to whether Wii Fit will give you the same level of workout, but I guess we'll see. I can't think of anything more calorie burning than Wii Sports Boxing.

I recomend Tuna, 3 days out of the week i eat nothing but Tuna with mustard, then the rest of the week i eat whatever. I lost 20 pounds. I went from 220 to 200. I also beefed up a tad with very little exercise. Tuna is high is protien and vitamins( and mercury) with negligible fat. Its filling and if you add mustard and vinegar it tastes really good. Though i added miracle whip today which isn't as healthy, but it was also pretty good. On other days I just eat whatever I can afford, that way i have a more balanced diet. The tuna also saves me money. If your tired of Tuna you could have sardines.

In high school i used to run and do all sorts of calisthenics everyday, but with my schedule thats pretty hard. I try to run every couple of days. At that time I weighed 160 pounds. When you do you actually feel pretty good(sometimes). If i could get back to doing more exercise and also having a better diet i'd probably look better than i did in high school. I was physically fit, but was never toned because i had a crappy diet. Now i have a good diet, and don't exercise much.

I actually often lose weight with video games. Sometimes one catches me so much, I skip meals altogether.

Have you ever heard the saying "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"? You are very close to finding out why...

EDIT:

Every time I read that post, the more and more offended I get. I am NOT fat, actually rather slender in build. You WILL pay...
