My First Wii Remote Injurt (ow)
« on: August 03, 2007, 08:19:11 PM »
Well . . . I don't really like Mario Strikers lol.

Because of the games refusal to let me select Bowser while on the field while hitting the A button for the umpteenth time, I got angry.

A little too angry.

and well . . .

I forgot the Wiimote strap was on my wrist. In my anger I yelled at my friend that this was BS and I threw the remote down.

Except it flew right back up and hit me square in the eye.

Yep.

I'm freaking retarded.

The moral of the story is, don't get angry while playing video games.

You poked your eye out while playing with your wii?

The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Nintendo is clearly at fault for not designing a release mechanism for these dangerous situations.  Complete recall should be in order.

To say I haven't been worried about causing damage to myself, loved ones and property with a Wii Remote would be a lie.

Still, this is the first Wii-related injury I've heard about. What with the state of our legal system, you could probably sue and win.

Then get a patent for the process and sue the victims who sue Nintendo.

However this isn't the first stupidity-related injury that we've heard about.

I'm filing a law suit as we speak while filing a patent for the term "wiinjury" so anyone else injured from the Wii has to pay me big for use of the term.

It's genius!

what if they just said Wii injury or InjurWii instead?
you better cover all your bases and patent/trademark as many as you can.

InjurWii, genius!! Well I haven't injured myself but I have "accidentally" hit people while playing Wii Sports Tennis.

Haha thank you my eye is fine ^^.

I did laugh after it happened just because it was so silly and so did my friend. Who the next day was nice enough to tell me "You know . . . in some small way I did kind of want to see your eye fully swollen today just to make this the funniest thing ever". X_X
