I would love to get one of the logitech steering wheels......  The problem is, I want one for both Gran turismo and F-zero/mario kart.....  Is there any chance a PS2 wheel hooked to a gamecube through the controller adaptor would work like its supposed to, force feedback and all?

Nintendo Gaming / That Fricken FeebASS =)

Well, I've been trying catch that damn fish in Pokemon.  I'm using the go from square to square while surfing on route 19.  Each square I've fished at least 5 times with the old rod.  I'm about halfway through the entire area after a bout a week of on and off trying and still haven't found it.  It supposedly shows up in 6 squares that remain constant as long as you don't change the word in that island town.  Has anyone caught one that has a better technique?  I'm really getting frustrated.

Nintendo Gaming / Wireless Mario Karting

Linksys is releasing an adaptor that will convert the gamecube broad band adaptor into a wire free model.  This is very cool for those of you wanting to lan it up in different rooms of a house.  My question is, will it require an existing wireless router/access point if you just want to play lan games...

too bad its so freaking expensive.

General Gaming / SNES issues
« on: June 23, 2003, 09:36:50 AM »
Hey, I just dusted off my SNES and hooked it up and I have a strange problem.  It seems one of the rgb channels is not outputting from the system.  Everything has a blue tint.  It isn't the cable cause I've tried multiple ones.  Anyone have and solved this issue before?

General Gaming / GBA Tunnel?
« on: June 21, 2003, 11:45:07 PM »
Here is a theory I'm thinking I may explore a bit but I wanted to bounce it off you guys.

Multiplayer GBAing is something very similar to lan gaming.  Multiple systems, multiple games (usually), cable to send and receive vital information over.  Now, theoretically, if you could rip apart the cable and stick an rj45 plug on you should be able to receive some sort of signals into a computer.  Once those signals were decipherred (if possible) you could then use the hacked together cable to play over a home lan, then just use tunneling technology for online play.  It sounds kind of crazy but you may not even have to decipher the proper signals as long as each rj45 is stuck on in the same way.

Alright, I think i'm gonna go rip open a link cable...

NWR Feedback / Gamecube SP (add ons for Johnny's Editorial)

Yeah, I think Jonny has something there, and being a Q owner I wanted to add some of my thoughts.  First off, they have to do something about the wavebird receiver covering up the coolness.  I think it would be damn damn DAMN cool if they had built in wavebird receivers that weren't even visible, and it came packaged with 4 slightly different colored wavebirds.  That would be a selling point there.  Also, I don't like the feet on the q, and if they replaced that with a gameboy player that would be cool...also the gameboy player should be able to be used without a boot disc, and should have a pip mode so that you could play gamecube and gameboy at the same time.  With all of these features and lan and internet play for both gameboy and gamecube games, I think they would get some new purchasers.  Hell, I would replace my imported Q if they came out with that.  Anyone else have any thoughts?

« on: April 30, 2003, 02:52:22 PM »
Hey I saw this on slashdot games and they linked here.  Supposedly a new ereader with some battery style storage so that it can keep info when it isn't even plugged into the gba?  Planetgamecube hasn't reported on this...

hrmm..

edit: i don't really understand the xbox comment...do they just mean cause its big?  who knows....

Nintendo Gaming / This Zoonami Exclusive Game
« on: February 05, 2003, 05:08:55 PM »
I remember reading about a week or 2 back (possibly on ign) that Zoonami is working on an exclusive game for gamecube which could possibly involve a new nintendo franchise.  This seems to me like Nintendo has the goldeneye people working on a new Nintendo Exclusive first person shooter franchise.  Its basically the only genre nintendo doesn't have covered anymore because of the loss of rare.  It all seems to make sense to me, and I bet it will be pretty damn sweet if it is true.
