Mass Effect 3 will be rendered in 720p on Wii U, according to the Australian developer Straight Right who are developing the Wii U version.
It was recently reported in Nintendo Power that the Wii U edition of Mass Effect 3 would feature 1080p visuals. The CEO of Straight Right, Tom Crago, has told NWR that, "The game will run at 720p."
Stay tuned for more information about Mass Effect 3 in the near future.
Not really a surprise.
My guess is that you won't see a lot of 1080P on WiiU.
The system is low on memory 1.5GB is not nearly enough.
4GB or 8GB could have been done within reason.
For titles that don't use the low Rez game pad maybe.
Yeah. This is really weird. The NP article was very clear. It couldn't be read in any other way. They even mentioned how it would be the first console version to do it. How did this mistake happen? And NP is cancelled.
We don't know how much RAM the Wii U will have, so you are just using speculation.

Guess it's still SOP to treat Nintendo as a third-stringer in the 3rd party world
The more things change...
So the Wii U is a console generation behind again. But I don't care :D
Amount of RAM shouldn't matter...Virtua Fighter 5 runs at 1080p on the PS3. Even if WiiU "only" has 1.5GB RAM, that's still 3x what the PS3 has...

The PS3 only has 256MB of RAM, so actually its 6x more.
