TalkBack / Re: Super Mega Baseball 3 (Switch) Review
« on: May 12, 2020, 04:45:21 PM »
I got SMB2 I think during a Christmas sale. It's awesome, so glad to have passed Neal in the total points leaderboards (these are back, correct?)

However, given what I thought it looked like an annualized release, I might wait for another sale. I don't know if I want to spend $45 after spending I think $15-20 only a few months ago. But eventually, it will be a buy.

Good review!

So I'm going to buy the game regardless, but does the season mode just 1 season and that's it, or can it be like a franchise and you can multiple seasons and stuff?

Love how much you beam about the game. I own a PS3 mostly because of MLB The Show. Can't wait to have a great portable baseball game on a Nintendo system again, MLB license or not.

So happy a good baseball game is finally hitting the Switch.

They were going to make 1,000 of them for the Holiday, but now that demand is high, they are going to increase production 10%. 1,100 will be available nationwide. Come get them, and be ready to fight to death for them!

Maybe Mario Sports Superstars is my #1 most wanted and most want to learn more about game of 2017.

Everything else is a distance 3rd. Nothing else is close enough to qualify for 2nd.

Here's to hoping all the modes are as expansive as Mario Golf World Tour, which is still in my top 3 favorite 3DS games I've played. It's amazing.

Switch will use online confirmed.

What we need now is confirmation that Mario Party game will recognize this fact.

That 3rd party support right now looks unprecedented.

Let's just hope its the good kind of unprecedented, and not the EA version.

I don't know what I just read. I think it's a joke, or, the writer snapped.

NX REVEAL in March 2017. REVEAL, not release. Just go with that expectation people, your standards are too high right now.

Why anyone wants to play this anymore given we got its sequel - Pokemon Go - is beyond me.

Wetrix is an amazing puzzle game I would pay for again if it hit the VC. Thankfully I still own it.

I own WCW World Tour. It's good, but if you have WWF No Mercy.... there's no point going back.

Hybrid Heaven uses a ton of wrestling moves. I loved that game.

The original Goemon on the N64 is the one people should play.

Gauntlet Legends was a ton of fun with friends.

And I have Sin and Punishment on my Wii VC, still need to play it. Loved the sequel though.

I have he original Castlevania 64. It's not as bad as people say, but it's not above like a 6/10.

In theory this could be good.

If nothing else it will get their brand out there. They sure don't make an effort to market their brand outside of Mario currently.

I hope they really hammer the game with paid microtransactions. There are probably a lot of whales on mobile devices that once played Nintendo systems. You need to drain those people for $150-$200 a piece.

If you are going to go down the dark path of mobile, go in deep Nintendo. DEEP.

Well that was something. Just finished listening. Thanks for the painful reminder why it was time for Dr. Metts to get off the show. I really do not need to hear again about how video games are wasting his time and he just wants to be done with them about 30 minutes after starting them.

You would say XCX was fun, but you sure didn't like to go into detail on how it is. But the parts that make you hate the game with every grain of your existence? Yep, you'll let us know in painstakingly detail about those elements.

Metts, I'm serious when I say this, stop playing video games. I don't think they bring you enjoyment anymore. Or maybe your job is sucking your soul out. But you are just a negative Nancy and it was really hard to get through that episode.

On the bright side, you guys were actually pretty mellow on the dire Nintendo investor's meeting. So glad you guys at least didn't scream end of the world there.

I took advantage of Circle's sale last night with 4 games (Fairune, Demon King Box, Dark Witch and Witch and Hero), plus doing the Humble Bundle.

I think I'll be good on games for awhile (not to mention the 100+ other backlogged games, lol..lol...ugh. Someone cure me from Lindemann syndrome!)

Look forward to hoping to be around for the 8 minutes that this is available before being sold out, then waiting for another 8 minutes to see that 60% of the supply is up on ebay for 4-5x the cost.

Please, Nintendo, make "limited supply" be simply, "you have until X date to preorder. We will suppy everyone who preorder the special edition by that date a copy. There won't be any available day of launch."

As long as you do this scenario with established franchises - not new IPS - I don't think MANY will complain.

OK...  so.... since I neer picked up the Wii version, I think I want to pick up this version instead, right? I have a new 3DS, so that's not an issue.

Sounds like 3DS version is missing one mode and co-op, but as a whole has more content.

Graphics don't mean squat to me.

Might need to read a few more reviews, this really didn't solve my decision on which version to pick up.

Nothing important to the gameplay or story is gone. Rally sad people are making a big deal over this.

If they removed swords from the game? Then a big deal.

It's a terrible concept. LIke you said, 5 plays for $1 is so wrong. Plus that's $1 for about 1 minute of gameplay. You got more playtime out of your 25 cents in an arcade, even if you were bad at the game.

And that stupid bunny just never shuts up. You aren't funny, or amusing. He's like an even more annoying version of the two girls who pester you every time you boot up Splatoon, and they need to go as well.

I'd give this system as 3/10. I've done it a few times when there are free plays, but none of the stickers really do anything for me to warrant changing my 3ds home screen.

Fast Racing NEO and Steamworld Heist are must haves.

Might finally pick up Aeterno Blade at that price.

And I'm sure millions (AND MILLIONS!) of people will be downloading Devil's Third. I expect servers to crash due to its popularity.

Didn't know about the eshop cards 15% off at Best Buy. Will take advantage of that.

And maybe Batman 3 to play with my son soon.

TalkBack / Re: Nintendo Direct Predictions for Nov. 12, 2015
« on: November 11, 2015, 04:15:47 PM »
I think you are reaching on the Splatoon stuff, most of your predictions make sense.

I see no major release being announced during the direct. I love Zelda: TP but a HD remake is snooze-news. I want to play new games with my ever dwindling free time, not an old game again with a fresh coat of paint.

I don't expect much from Star Fox Zero. Feel like that was a major delay to add online. Or at least that's my hope. Maybe they saw how great Splatoon is doing and FINALLY realized online multiplayer is in fact, not a fad.

Starting to wonder about amiibo. People are tweeting pictures of stores with the once rare ones in stock. Did the bubble burst - with people sick of waiting for the releases - or did Nintendo finally get a second factory going to produce the cheap plastic figures?

My one guarantee for tomorrow is that fans will be underwhelmed and mad about something in the ND.

Nintendo really doesn't want bad PR clearly for this game.

I was fine with the unlock system. Whatever. I'm more looking forward to beating people's custom levels, I don't have time to build them.
