Well, if that wasn't him, then who was it?
Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma hinted about a possible twist in today's Zelda Wii U trailer.
When asked why Link wasn't wearing his iconic green tunic in the battle scene seen today in the trailer, Aonuma simply replied to VentureBeat, “No one explicitly said that that was Link.”
Is it possible that Link won't make an appearance in this game? Or perhaps we just haven't seen him in action yet. What are your thoughts? Leave comments in the talkback below!
I hope it's Zelda.
The character displayed in that trailer didn't have a sword and the horse was absolutely not Epona. Zelda would make perfect sense in this case, in which case I wonder if we'll be seeing some sort of duality between the two similar to Spirit Tracks.I hope it's Zelda.
As do I. We're long overdue for Zelda to actually be playable in the series named after her, outside the CDi games of course. And hopefully it's not just a fake-out like "well, here's the 5 seconds of the game you play as Zelda inbetween 60 hours of Link!"
It's Raiden.MGS canon and Zelda canon one and the same. God what have we done.
It's Raiden.It's Johnny Cage.
It's Link's long, lost son, also named Link, coming to avenge his father's death only to find out that long ago he had fallen to the dark side.
Who is this "Link" character? When I play a Zelda game, the main character is always named "Ass".

Maybe the whole game is gender-swapped.Just Link. Then, Female Link and Princess Zelda get married at the end. Take that, Tomodachi Life controversy.
STOP. Just stop. There is already to many, "Oh by they way there Lesbians." Why can't it be Link and Prince Zelda who then gets married at the end?Maybe the whole game is gender-swapped.Just Link. Then, Female Link and Princess Zelda get married at the end. Take that, Tomodachi Life controversy.
