anyways, not entirely sure this is new, but I haven't seen it before... looks pretty interesting to say the least... loving how it's looking and all... not entirely sure what's happening though... perhaps someone more knowledgeable in Japaneses can translate it? (Bill?/Ty?)

I bet they will do it considering Wii's high user base in America and Namco Bandai's trend of pumping out a lot of Tales games recently.

Does anyone else see this game as a major test-of-the-waters for the Wii's ability to sell traditional PS2-like software in Japan and elsewhere?

What happened to the cel-shaded painted look of the first game? I hope the game isn't that far along, because if it is this looks quite disappointing compared to the original.

See? Namco's taking the cheap way out by rehashing their PS2 development methods. The only thing they seem to be putting effort into is the Motion Capture for cutscenes.

Got bumped for the Tales of the Abyss look...which is actually a lot sharper looking than the blurry cel-shading of Symphonia...

because it's DA SEQUAL, Lloyd is (apparently) evil, everyone else seems to come back as well, and it appears to be using a variation of Abyss battle mode, which is, as far as I could tell of my short Abyss playtime, slightly superior to Symphonia's...

regarding how it looks, I actually like it... seems very pastel-painting-esqe to me, which I find oddly fitting...

hope it does't take more than a year to localize, as, you know, every Tales ever ;_;

Yankee GameCube came out 2001. Yankee Symphonia came out 2004.

Yankee Wii came out 2007. Yankee Symphonia Rehash-Remix X-EO is coming out 2010 at the soonest. This game is a complete disaster Namco started a year late cuz Namco was supposed to be busy working on real next-generation games for real next-generation systems.

Just in time before a meteor hits the earth in 2012.

interesting... just letting you know that apparently Tales of Vesperia is going to be released on X360, rumours say it may even be an exclusive (trainwreck CONFIRMED)

in any case, I just found out that ToS was released in august 2003 in Japan, and July 2004 in the US, so maybe we'll see KoR in 2009

My bad, Yankee Wii came out in 2006, not 2007. Revised, KoR really should be coming out 2009.

If Tales of Venereal Disease really is coming to 360, it'll be around 2011 soonest, stateside. Or not at all considering 360 is just a disaster in Japan, therefore Namco could go bankrupt before the game even releases.

Which "ending" does the sequel take after? I'm going to assume it's not Kratos' ending, since it seems that Zelos is alive and well.

The ending is supposed to have Lloyd being the father of 13 kids between Sheena and Raine.
