Title: Resident Evil 0, 1, and 4 coming to Switch next year.

I can't wait to buy these games...again! It will be my third time buying each of them.

I'll probably buy 4, which I played for the first time on Wii and really enjoyed, but I have absolutely no desire to go back to the old school Resident Evil design. I rented the remake of the first one on GameCube and just couldn't stand it, which was the reason it took me so long to try RE4 despite everyone raving about it.

I think the Wii version (and others since) let you use non-tank controls, which makes it a lot easier to play, for the most part.

I'm pretty sure you still had to stop to shoot in the Wii version, it was just quicker with the pointer aiming.

Resident Evil 4! I don't think I've ever played an HD version.

RE1 is a PS4 remake of the GameCube remake. It’s got decent visuals.

It's still the same awful game, though. From what I understand the upcoming RE2 remake on the other consoles is being redone in the RE4 style, but RE1 is basically unplayable regardless of the visuals.

Everyone who has played it disagrees with you...

I really didn't like the ps4 controls for re4, 5,6. Something felt off. I wish they were more customizable.

If by everyone you mean most of the people who reviewed the game years before RE4 came out and showed people how well the series could work with functional controls. I don't think it's an uncommon opinion to think the original style Resident Evil games have aged very poorly.

I hope “Resident Evil 4” gets motion controls. It worked so well on Wii. Capcom would have to go out of its way to use the Joy Con’s gyroscope since Switch doesn’t have a sensor bar. I think the “Resident Evil Revelations” Switch port had motion controls.

Yes that's what I meant. It's still a great game though.

I wonder how many games that weren't great when they arrived would be a whole bunch better with a resolution and frame rate bump.

I already have the Wii version, but never finished it. I'm not sold on gyro being a proper substitute for IR so I may just go back to that one if I want to play it again. Its a shame they didn't find a way to ad the IR sensor on the top of the joy-con to allow for IR pointer if a developer wanted to include it.
