Next time, I'm going to slap your face with my taser. We'll see how your hardened skin handles that.

You guys sound like a married couple. :P: :
Those two do make a cute match.
I wish I could see from you guys' perspective because I don't get it.

I was online but after 3 dropped connections it was time to hang it up for tonight. Tried checking my signal strength & while the PC ranks its connection as good, the Wii's connection was in the yellow. Starting to think it's less a settings issue & more of a signal problem.

Unfortunately the router is the one supplied by Verizon & I have no idea how to get in there & change the channel so I may just have to try & reposition the thing or my Wii & hope it makes enough of a difference.

You could try the WiFi Wok trick. Position a wok by it to boost signal strength.

Worth a shot. Don't really want to cough up the cash to buy a signal booster.

I finally got that last Los Plate I needed to finish my armor. Good lord that took a lot. I farmed all night with carve and luck boosts. Then I get one from a tail. About time. Now I need 5 more for my Rathling Gun + and then two more for my gunner armor! Haha  ::)

Worth a shot. Don't really want to cough up the cash to buy a signal booster.

I saw a friend do it with his WiFi and it really did boost the signal strength. Also look at what is in between your router and the Wii because something could be interfering with the signal.

Wish I could give you the parts as I can build a Rathling+ gun as it is. I once fooled around(bought, used, didn't save game) with a Rathling+/Agnablaster combo against a pair of Royal Ludroth in Mogo Woods & nearly killed both of them despite not wearing any waist or leg armor.

Oh wait, now I see the problem with my connection. Someone decided beside the router was a nice place to sit a stack of framed pictures & a big mirror...

I am going to take a month off from Monster Hunter and focus on some of my other games since I have been playing Monster Hunter 3. I would like to finish off Murmasa, Red Steel 2 and Cursed Mountain before I pick this game up again. I have logged in one-hundred and seventeen hours into MH3 and I have achieved elite hunter status, so I have done enough to deserve a break.

Didn't you say that every other online game you play works fine? If that is the case, then I don't think the problem has to do with signal strength. It's still worth trying to increase it though, as at the least it will improve stability.

It could be that Capcom is more picky about how stable your connection is and their servers dump you at the earliest signs of instability to prevent games from becoming de-synchronized.

That's exactly what it is, it has been unofficially confirmed.

I forgot to mention, you could probably find the manual to your router online, if you do a Google search for its make and model number. Find out what is the address to access your router, and then read about the kinds of changes you can make. Every router is different so I can't tell you how it's done based on my own.

I was just about to ask if anyone would be online tonight.

A half hour you say? That will give me some time to take care of something real quick. Could you post again when you head online so I know you are there?

Yeah, I assumed it was something like that. That's what made me take a took at my connection. I had it on green this morning when I moved the router. Might come online tonight & see how it's holding up now.

Just logged on & saw a message saying the servers will be down for maintenance at 10pm PDT. Maybe they're addressing that picky server thing.  On my way!

I'm afraid Maxi took the spot.

That server maintenance message is different than it has been. I think this time, they might actually shut it down for a few hours. We will find out in 90 minutes.

They've said that before. I half wonder if they do a rolling shutdown and that is why we never notice it.

The message this time was different before, it specifically said "starting today at 10PM PDT" rather than the vague "every Tuesday at midnight." I don't recall seeing that one before.
