I think you have to complete all normal quests.I don't think you have to complete the advance quests.

There is a subset of them that you have to complete. The key quests listed at that level are: We Need a Hero, Into the Danger Zone, The Creeping Venom, The Bard's Barioth, and To Catch an Uragaan.

I think the only one I'm missing from that list is to cap an Uragaan. I've never seen him limp he just rolls around till he's dead. Should be fun.

A good time to try capturing him is when he retreats to Zone 5 (I think: it's the one in the center of the map where he goes up to the mesa that you can't reach). That usually means he's out of stamina, so if you've been whomping on him consistently his health should be almost gone as well.

Reached my 4 star urgent which shouldn't be too hard since I've done it before just never paid for it.

For an easier time capturing, you could get the Capture Guru skill, which can be gained by getting +10 Perception. If a monster is paintballed (or if you have Auto-Tracker), the icon on the map will flash when the monster is ready to be captured.

Another way to tell is if the monster goes to sleep. If Uragaan goes to area 6 (which is the place noname2200 was talking about), wait a bit outside the area and see if it goes to sleep - this is the area where it will if it is weak.

Thanks for the tips. Got that done, but now I need to do the Jhen urgent during the Jhen Event. Everyone online seems Jhen'ed out or is not 27 or higher. I'm sure I'll get it done some day.

There is a core set of quests you have to finish before you can do the urgent. I've been wanting to fight Jhen Mohran some more for Elder Dragon Blood so I'll help you with the urgent.

Hmm I just got disconnected.I tried to get back on but it would go up to 20% then give me an error. I'm going to wait another 15 minutes before trying again. Kytim and GK you are welcome to try again now.

It happens, Maxi. Kytim left after the quest so I ended up wandering into someone that was on their urgent. Gonna hang with them for now since everyone's on about the same quest level.

I'll be there afterall. Connection loss just milliseconds before Lagiacrus could land a fatal blow. The 2 guys I was with had already died once each so that death would have ended the quest & might have stuck if the connection drop was any later.
