D'oh! Ignore this post please.

Por Que? ;)

Anyone up for a quick hunt or two? I was off tonight but the closing manager called sick so I'm working at 5PM Pacific.

I just beat the first Lagiacrus quest offline and was depressed when it ran away...I wanted to harvest it. At least I got it's tail.

'Cause it contained information that was way old!

Anyhow, I'm about to start playing for an hour or so. Rookies2, City Gate 25, City 25.  Come join me if you want (ID: Lara)

If you go to the Rookies server I can't join you because my rank is too high.

I'm with the Fleece and GK if you'd like to join us. My name is Damsel, ID JRCJ8D, search for it, and then warp to me if you'd like to join.

I saw you and GK, Mop it up, but you were on a quest. When I came back you were gone and there's someone here now named Brody. Is that anyone here?

We literally came back from that quest as soon as you left again. I saw you were back and we tried to get back as soon as we could. I would recommend turning on the Lobby Chat function under the online options, then you can chat with people on a quest.

I don't know anyone named Brody.

I'll do that. They signed off and I'm going to take a break. I'll be around though. Have you been playing strictly online? Your rank is off the meter!

No, but I started with online. I recently blasted through the single player mode because I had high-end gear that is better than anything you can acquire offline.

More noob questions.  to add someone to your friend list do both people have to be online at the same time or can you send a message to someones ID for them to get later?

You can only send messages and friend requests to people who are currently online. The search function will only find players online. You also can't send a message/friend request to someone who is off on a quest. It is kind of a poor system really.

I'll be on pretty soon.  I've got to finish some editing of the thing Mop it up and I did with a discussion about the game first.

Is anyone still up playing? I'm assuming the usual suspects of Mop it up and Thatguy will be around.

There's a new event quest available now, where you have to remove all your armour and be in the nude in order to join. It might be a good idea if we separated the boys and girls for this one.

...except that would mean I would have to go it solo. Drat. Did GoldenPhoenix get the game yet?

Har har.

Every chance she gets, Mop it up has been trying to get me to strip off my armor to fight things.

Hmm...

Anyway, if I play any today, it won't be for forever into the night and morning, just a heads up.

Cool!  So, apparently this game was designed to support DLC?  This new event quest allows you to make a new weapon - the Sharq Attaq lance.  The post also mentions more new weapons will arrive.

No, it's not real DLC.  It's all stuff that was on the game disc, just time-locked, basically.

No, it's not real DLC.  It's all stuff that was on the game disc, just time-locked, basically.

Plus even if anything was d/l'd it would just be placement and settings data with recycled assets from the main game.

So I didn't sleep at all last night for no particular reason but found no one online when I logged on at a god awful hour of the morning. I tried the Great Baggi Hunt quest online and was shocked at how challenging it was. I kept expecting Jaggi patterns and there were a lot of little Baggi and those were more aggressive too. Most of my damage came due to the little guys. They broke my block and then I'd get slugged by the big guy. I ended up finishing via sub-quest because I couldn't quite get him. I had him going to sleep multiple times after strongly weakening him but I think he might have regenerated an arbitrary amount of health each time while I was sharpening my lance.

Lance feels really unfitting for fighting Baggi. Too slow and he is very fast. :P

You tried it online? The online quests are designed for 4 players, so if you go it solo, it is extremely difficult.

Yeah, I was curious and really wanted to boost my HR some more online. I figured it would just be a slightly more challenging Jaggi but forgot how different the attack patterns really were. If I'm not careful one attack of his goes around my defense and still connects with me.

Anyone down with playing right now?

OK. Are you on the Wisdom3/Gate27/City5? If not I may go and chill there.

And who is Ryan? If he is NWR I need to go online and add him.

Ryan is JRNN here on NWR, and Luxray20 on WiiAreDeep.

EDIT: Wait, we're in City9. My mistake.

I think I'm going to go ahead and sign off, that way you can play.  Like I said, I was looking to play less today.
