Nuts! I forgot to make picks to see if I could beat Insanolord and annoy him as well. I was going to pick Atlanta too just to annoy Brandogg who picked Seahawks for going to the Super Bowl. See a pattern? I only really care about the NFL to try and troll people. Which is why my picks are late. I don't really follow football. Anyways, forget Atlanta.

I'm picking New England. Yeah, I know it's half time right now and they have a bit of a lead but only a die hard of the opposition would pick against New England. Even if they were losing at the half I'd still pick them.

For tomorrow, I'm going with Steel City against the Chiefs and Cowboys over Green Bay. Whatevs.

2 for 2 so far this week, but it was by far the easier 2. If I’m 2 for 2 tomorrow I’m in excellent shape to win this thing. 27 of the 66 people in this pool were perfect through one week. If I get through tomorrow unbeaten, I will be one of only two people on top.

This is the first time I've really gotten to see Atlanta this year. I was impressed. I don't like any of the teams left, but as a neutral I would love to see Matt Ryan and Aaron Rodgers trade possessions in the NFC CG. I'm not quite sure I could even watch a Dallas-NE Super Bowl.

Since I correctly picked both games yesterday, I'm now 9 of 10 in my pool. One person is perfect and six others also have 9, so if I get the Super Bowl right I'm in pretty good position to win some money, since the top 4 finishers get paid. I'm currently leaning toward picking the Falcons, but I've got time to think it over, and I also need to predict the total points in the Super Bowl, which is the tiebreaker in this pool.

I'm rooting for the Falcons, that way I can argue Seattle was the second best team in the NFL this year.

I just can't decide who to pick for the Super Bowl. New England has a great defense, but hasn't faced an offense like Atlanta's, while Atlanta gets torched by the run, which will clearly be New England's gameplan, trying to keep that Falcons offense off the field. I also have to pick the total points of the game, which I figure will depend on who wins. If Atlanta wins it's because they turned it into a shootout, but the Patriots are going to try to keep it low scoring.

Honestly, I expect the Patriots to win. Not to discount Atlanta but experience really can help in a championship game. I consider the Penguins / San Jose cup final from last year and the experience the Penguins had seemed to play a big role in the opening games. I think it gives the Patriots an advantage through the first quarter and maybe even up to half time. When a team has an edge like that, it's hard to bet against them. Of course, the NY Giants proved that the Patriots aren't infallible a couple times but this is a team that could win with their back-up QB and third-string QB. They're a solidly built team that is well coached.

My pick for the Super Bowl is the Patriots, with a total points of 55. If I'm reading this right, I'm guaranteed to win money if New England wins, since 4 people win money and it would be a 4-way tie for the 2-4 slots, with me in the middle of the total points predictions.

I blame #32 on the Falcons for being the defensive liability. Most of the big plays that happened, was on his man.
first 2 NE Touchdowns happened on him. Big passing plays x atleast 3 happened on him. He was the hole in the defensive stand, that let NE back in the game.
Of course that sac that brought ATL to 3 and 33.... after the holding call, is what killed whatever was left the of offensive drive in this game.

But I gotta give it to NE for never even letting up a little. That one catch that was made, that was almost an interception, but thanks to the ATL players leg, NE was able to keep it from hitting the ground. That was an amazing bobble catch.

I didn't have a dog in this fight, but I was actively rooting for ATL. Sucks they couldn't keep the momentum going in the 2nd half. I would have loved for them to take home their 1st SB ring.
And I know that they would have stuck by the discontinuing of the traditional Champions visit to Washington as well. I guess we'll see where NE stands on that.

If you're blaming anyone it's Kyle Shanahan for calling a pass play late in the 4th quarter. They never should have been in the position to take a sack there, and if they don't do that they kick a field goal, it's a two-score game, and it's over.

on that you're right, but #32 let NE back in the game in the first place.

Just like in the game where Carr broke his leg, I kinda blame his lineman for missing his man, but I really blame the receiver on the play before that, that didn't run his route and caused an "intentional grounding" call, that placed the Raiders back an additional 10yds and forced them into the play called that led to a broke leg that also dead-ended a playoff run season.

so I just pull the camera back a little and place blame on who led them to situation in first place... not just the play that really fucked up the gameplan.

The Browns front office is really thinking outside the box. Putting some of our unused cap space to use by further stockpiling draft picks. We got a 2nd round pick from Houston to take Osweiler's bad contract, and now we're looking to get a 3rd rounder from somebody else who wants him after we eat some of his salary. Now all we need to do is use those draft picks effectively.

The NFL Draft is now less than 48 hours away and I'm kind of going crazy over it. I'm desperately hoping the Browns do the smart thing and take Myles Garrett first overall, but all this Mitchell Trubisky talk is getting to me. I wouldn't be opposed to taking him at 12, or even trading up from 12 with the Jets or Titans to get him, but we need to get Garrett no matter what. I'm not sure I'll be able to truly relax until Roger Goodell announces that Garrett is the pick.
