That was a bummer. Losing to the Packers? Really?

49ers won too.... what were they thinking?

But Derick Carr... out w/ a broken fibula.
Hopefully the Bronos win tomorrow. Raiders will need the extra time for recovery.

Not going 0-16 and still holding onto the #1 pick. Merry Christmas, Cleveland!

exactly why I was questioning why SF would fight so hard for that win.
Your record is terrible, 1 extra win is not gonna fix anything... not even your pride. But I guess you get to celebrate your Xmas with a win, so that's something.

as for the team not even worth a logo:

It's the difference between extremely bad and historically bad. Everybody remembers that Lions team that went 0-16, but nobody's going to bring up a 1-15 season as a trivia question years from now.

If you're referring to SF, then they already had 1 win. Cleveland was putting them back in contention to get that #1 Draft pick. And they knew Cleve won before their game was over.

1 win was a blessing for Cleveland, a merry Xmas to them. SF fighting for Win #2 was just handing Clevelenad the #1 pick again, giftwrapping their 1 win this season (so far).

Looks like the only positions that are alive are AFC 1 seed, AFCW champ, NFCN champ, and the last NFC wildcard between the NFCN 2nd place team and Washington?

I only see some sources saying NE clinched home field through the AFCCG. Other than that, looks like it's just win-and-in for Washington and GB-Detroit for the division (loser to the WC if Washington also loses). Not a lot of live games, but the college semis and alliance bowls will fill out the weekend.

A friend of mine runs a playoff pool every year, so I made my picks for that for the week. I ended up going with all home teams: Houston, Seattle, Pittsburgh, and Green Bay. I went back and forth over the Raiders-Texans game, and absolutely would have taken Oakland with a healthy Derek Carr, but I felt starting a rookie QB on the road against a very good defense was just too much to overcome.

Seattle is the only favorite that would really surprise me by losing. Green Bay-New York is plausibly an NFCCG quality match up. One of my best friends loves the Giants so I watch a lot of their games, so I'm a little too close to it to make an unbiased prediction. I do really like Aaron Rodgers, so I don't care who wins other than for my friend's sake. I'd go Oakland and Steelers.

I'll select Pittsburgh, I guess.

Yeah, I'd agree with those choices. Only iffy one / toss-up I think is the GB/Giants game. So, I'll take Houston, Seattle, Pittsburgh and Giants.

It would seem so, since apparently 27 of the 66 people in this pool got all four right. Still, though, I've still got as good a shot as any of them, while the 59 other people are pretty much fucked.
