I've only watched the two actual trailers. I don't bother with all the TV spots and the "mid season trailers". No need to see all that extra stuff. I've seen enough and looking forward to it.

Justice League fan remake is ....fine.

The biggest thing I can warn you about is that this is the same as the theatrical release with more fluff thrown in. The story beats are all the same so if you're going in expecting something new (which would be completely understandable as that's how this movie is being promoted) then you're going to be disappointed.

That fight scene probably had a budget larger than an entire seasonal arc of any particular Arrowverse show. But yes, they should probably still feel ashamed. I agree.

No doubt. But I was referring more to the entire show than just that fight scene. The writing was infinitely better. And I didn't yell at the TV once like I used to do when watching the Arrowverse shows.

29
That Vision v Vision fight scene was just wonderful. Very exciting with a very interesting power set to dual. The only complaint I had was that they fell into that stupid trope again where you have the two beams hitting each other from either end with one eventually being overpowered.

I hope anyone that's had absolutely anything to do with the Arrowverse was watching this and feeling woefully inadequate and embarrassed.

30
And Wanda's new duds look amazing. Can't wait to see more of those.

31
Loved The Office opening credits this week. Finally a sitcom I recognise.

32
I found the Direct quite lackluster unfortunately. This announcement was the only one that I am interested in - but the interest is very conditional. I will happily admit to being one of the ones who hated the original release. However not because of the game, but the controls only. (Mind you, those three fights on the forbidden monster thing with the toes got old in a screaming hurry).

By the end of the game I was in a rage because the stupid controls just didn't do what I wanted them to. The end boss had me yelling at the TV. When I finally finished it I vowed never to touch the game again until they release a proper version that ran on button and not motion. It seems like we finally have it, but I can't help feeling that this new control system is going to be terrible and I won't be buying it until we get some real world feedback on how the controls feel.

33
I think there was also some light Gilmore Girls influence too - the park where the party was happening with the maze. Have the gazebo there right in the middle.

34
Evan Peters was a better quicksilver than ATJ

Each to their own of course.

I just thought they made made the character nothing but a joke in X-Men. Don't get me wrong, I found them amusing - but that's all it was. Just someone they whipped out at an appropriate moment for a funny scene then he never did anything else with him.

Johnson's rendition was more of a real character than Peters', despite being in several more movies.

35
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I am so angry and disappointed with the reveal at the end of the latest episode. Since this is a spoiler thread I'm just dropping it out there.

WHY THE HELL DID THEY HAVE TO BRING EVAN PETERS INSTEAD OF THE PROPER AARON TAYLOR JOHNSON????????

I mean, it's intriguing as hell and the implication are huge. I just didn't think his Quicksilver was interesting at all and much preferred Johnson's iteration. Talk about an emotional roller coaster. I was bouncing on my couch of excitement before his face was revealed. Then everything just crashed.

36
I was so happy to see Darcy back. I've dearly missed her. Now we just need a "meaw meaw" from her (no idea why that would happen here but I can dream) and it'd be complete.

Also great to see that Woo has mastered his magic tricks. I did love that little detail.

And what a cracker of an opening. Wasn't expecting to see anything around that time.

Thrawn never properly failed in his role and was always a step ahead of the Rebels; it was always his underlings who botched or ignored his orders and cost the win, other than the space whale ending which I disliked.

And sure, Mando S3 will most likely be the retaking of Mandalore, but that is one show out of at least three that will lead to something bigger with Thrawn at the center of it.

I completely agree with both points. I enjoyed Rebels more than Clone Wars. That B-Swing episode really stuck out to me and I just adore it. But that space whale ending let it down something fierce. Just came completely out of nowhere. However the bright side was that it removed Ezra from everything. I think he was by far the least interesting character in the show.

And yeah, the retaking of Mandalore will also be the catalyst to the helmet and armour coming off full time. He's now been exposed to the concept of the non-radical Mandalorians via Bo-Katan. They've been hinting at it for a while.

There's a way they could do it though. His flogging by Ezra (the least interesting Jedi character I've ever seen in video in my opinion) by the space whales causes him to become far more ruthless in his future endeavours.

I believe Strucker was killed in AoU.
I think he was in that base Tony raised in the beginning

He was arrested in that opening raid. He's killed later offscreen by an Ultron goon. The report and aftermath of the murder is shown in the movie. If I recall correctly.
Whelp, my MCU knowledge seems to be getting rusty. Probably high time I re-watched some of the earlier stuff. Haven't seen AoU or Winter Soldier in a long while.

Though this is generally considered to be the "worst" of the Avengers movies it has one of the best fight scenes in the whole MCU in my opinion. That slow-mo sequence when the music ramps up is a joy to behold.

I was hoping for something like that in the Endgame final battle but it never came. (Not a complaint because it was still glorious, but still hoping.)

Unfortunately I hated the movie. Saw it last Wednesday and it's just dire. Story is a complete mess, fights scenes are terrible and so many plotholes it's ridiculous. Music is so bland it's completely forgettable (Zimmer really phoned this one in). So disappointing coming from the love that I have for the first one. Looks like DC are back at their usual level of quality.

Considering the last time the Riddler was in a Batman movie I was in 5th or 6th grade then great.

I just hope that the Joker stays the hell away from it. Bring on the Riddler.

My meaningless opinions:

Black Adam: Obviously a hell of a long way off - but I doubt I'll be seeing this at the cinemas. Don't care much about the character and if I never see Dwayne Johnson again it'll be a day too soon. No issues with his acting but I'm just sick to death of seeing him.

Justice League: Unfinished Darkseid aside it's looking really good. Having said that I said the same thing about the trailers for BvS and the original Justice League too. Looking very different to the theatrical release obviously but that's sort of the point. I'm sure the movie will look wonderful. I'm going to be embracing the philosophy of hope for the best but prepare for the worst. I'm hoping it's going to be wonderful, but I'm bracing myself for a high budget version of the Arrowverse Crisis crossover - a complete, nonsensical mess. At least if it has some epic fights scenes it will help. But I can't even hope for that since it's from the same man who thought that the titular fight between Batman and Superman should be an unpowered fistfight. Pathetic. It's Batman and Superman for goodness sake. Could have been at least a little bit of creativity there.

Suicide Squad: Jury still out on this one, and will be for a while since we don't even have a trailer yet. But they are certainly praising it up as the second coming of Christ so if this movie doesn't fix world hunger I'm not going to be impressed. Very curious to see a real trailer though.

Wonder Woman: Quite excited for this one. Loved the first one. Looks like we'll be treated to some more spectacle and cool fight scenes. Not sure about Cheetah yet, but I expect there'll be another form hidden for the climax of the movie. Also finding the reversal of circumstance with Diana and Steve amusing. This time it's Steve learning about society rather than Diana. Hopefully he pulls it off as well as she did.

Batman: I was initially hesitant about Battinson but I'm liking what I'm seeing in the teaser. He's certainly got some one on one chops I'm most curious to see how he'll handle group combat. Suit looks good, some detective work happening which is great. I'm in.

This is looking very interesting. I'm most curious as to how they'll approach his combat. Pattinson is on the lean side so I'm hoping we'll see some more agility/evasion based combat rather than the usual brawn approach.

Looks like they're pushing Riddler as the main villain in this one.

Anyone playing through this?

I have never been so torn about a game before. The writing, the wit, the charm and those bananas unexpected moments are just amazing. I am all in with this. I can't wait to play through till completion seeing what other wonderful surprises lurk within. There have been some genuine laugh out loud moments for me.

Unfortunately, as much as I love all the above, the combat system juxtaposes it perfectly. I have never hated combat in a game as much as I do in this one. It's at the point now where I am running from encounters. Maybe I'm just ludicrously incompetent, but I have such a hard time with the line em up boards. When there are mobs all over the board my brain just melts out my ear, especially when it's a three turn board. I am now instantly paying the toads to line it up for me because I just can't be bothered dealing with it anymore, and because I'm getting more and more sick of it I'm performing worse at it because I just want it over. I think what really annoys me about it is that if you mess it up the game punishes you for it. Rather than doing something sensible like reducing your reward it reduces your damage. This damage reduction will quite likely render you unable to take out mobs in a single turn which snowballs into a hell of a lot potential incoming damage.

This system isn't clever, it isn't fun. It's just reprehensibly bad and drags everything out. I'd be more than happy for them to completely remove the combat "mini games" and just have it all on the overworld like the paper macho mobs.

This is so frustrating because I'd dearly love to play through this again one day but the terrible combat is quite likely enough to put me off.

What are your thoughts?

I'm most pleased it's back though I was quite hesitant after the awful season 6.

I like Mac. He is a bit steadfast compared to Coulson but then he also looks like he'll wreck everyone else with not much effort. Sad the show is ending but glad it got to end.

As do I. I've always like Mac. He's just got some charm that I've always admired. And he's such an unreasonably large man. I've always thought he'd have made an excellent Luke Cage. Though I was disappointed that the weapon he was provided to fight the bots wasn't his shotgun axe. Haven't seen that for too long.

But yeah, solid start to the season. Already has me more interested than season five ever did. Also, I still hate Deke and want him to go away. Exasperated Fitz needs to make a return too.

I don't know if it was mentioned, but this season is supposed to tie back into the MCU somehow. at least that's what i heard.

Oh you better believe it does.

As soon as I saw the first trailer, the first thing I said was "they're bringing Ace Ventura back!". Looks like I was right lol. Definitely going to watch this one, but I'll be waiting till it ends up on *insert streaming service here*.

I didn't mind Picard. No real desire to watch it again but I didn't hate it. And the stunning Jeri Ryan didn't hurt either. I'll watch season 2.

Watching through Discovery S2 now. I got a little bored through S1 and dropped off after episode three I think, but I heard good things about season two so I figured I'd start there. I'm quite enjoying it. Really liking Pike. Looks beautiful. Definitely finishing this season off and unless something terrible knocks it down between now and the finale I'll be looking forward to S3 and this new show that got announced a few days ago.
