Title: The Animal Crossing Amiibo Trading Card Trading Post
Post by: Khushrenada on September 26, 2015, 03:20:21 AM
Do you like Animal Crossing? Do you like it so much that you'd be willing to buy Amiibo Trading Cards and attempt to get a complete set of all 100 in Series 1 (and all 100 in Series 2)? Then welcome to the place for you! In an effort to make things easier for the Animal Crossing Amiibo Trading Card collector on the go, I thought it would be a good idea to create a 1 stop shop area where collectors can get together to help fill in the gaps for their collections.
Of course, it wouldn't be a Khushrenada thread without it being on very shaky ground in regards to forum rules. Thus, some very clear disclaimers need to be made right now. Always remember this:
Regarding participation: 1. Anyone who wishes to participate in this thread does so of their own free will. 2. No personal information about a person, such as a shipping or mailing address is to be posted by an poster in this thread. 3. No one who receives personal information from another user may post it in this thread or anywhere else on these forums at anytime either before, during or after any trades or from whenever such information is given. 4. If you do wish to arrange a trade with someone and need to give such info out, it is up to the users involved in the trade to figure out how they want to send that info out whether it be via private message or another means offsite. Anyone giving out this information should be 18 years or older. If a minor, they may do so only on the basis that they have approval from their legal guardian. 5. All participants who are trading do so in good faith and without intent to commit fraud or any other ill intent. 6. Each users recognizes that any costs incurred via a trade or acquiring Amiibo cards are of the user's own responsibility and no one else's. 7. If any loss occurs, neither another user nor Nintendo World Report can be, is or will be held reliable for the loss or for reimbursement in any way financially. 8. There is no obligation for NWR, its staff, affilieties, advertisers or any other forum user to inform any user or participant about added, adjusted or deleted rules.

1. Anyone who wishes to participate in this thread does so of their own free will.
This is a very important distinction, because if you read the rules carefully you'll see that is not true in other parts of the forum.

Wasn't that fun? The gist of it is that there is potential for someone to be wronged if trading cards, whether intentionally or unintentionally and for any wrong or loss that does occur, no one else can be accountable except you. Trader beware.
At this point, I'd create a list of all 100 Amiibo cards that can currently by collected in series 1. However, I'm on a bit of vacation and only have my phone for Internet access. Typing that list of guidelines has been grueling enough for now. Thus, I'll add the list in a couple days. For now, I just thought I'd get a thread going and find out who might be interested in participating. Right now, I'd prefer this thread stick to a card for a card trading system as the premise for exchange but that could change as time goes by.

Personally, I'm willing to participate and give this a try. I've bought 10 packs so far. I'll probably buy another 7. My goal is to buy as few packs as possible to reach 100 cards and hopefully trade the duplicates acquired for the missing cards needed. Of the 60 cards purchased so far, I've acquired 48 of the 100 with 12 duplicates meaning a 20% failure rate. If I am so fortunate to keep this ratio up, then I should have 80 out of 100 cards collected from my next 7 packs. Doubt that will happen but who knows. Anyways, I'll post more once I know what all I am missing and acquire a few more packs.
The good news for me is that I've acquired Crazy Redd already along with a few other favorites like Sable, Resetti, and Diana.
I'll also mention some of the duplicates I'll be looking to trade. For special cards, I have 1 Harriet and 1 Isabella for trade. For regulars, I have 2 Eunice cards and 1 card each for Sheldon, Kabuki, Bangle, Kyle, Deena, Cyrano, Deli and Renee.

Woah, I was right, you HAVE given this way more thought than me Khushrenada!
I've got one pack in hand right now, but I've got another 11 on the way. I'll probably buy a couple more so I think it looks like I'll land around 100 total cards or so just like you, provided I don't change my mind.
I'd LOVE to collect a full set, but I'll only be slightly disappointed if not possible. My secondary goal is to own Bunni (#87) since she's a favorite character of both me and my brother's.
I just discovered an analysis from earlier this year that calculates that if you were going to trade your way to a full set, you'd have to buy 17 packs (to ensure you have at least 17 special cards) and then do an average number of 6 special trades and 30 normal card trades. That's a lot of trades, but waaaay better than the pure random pack buying method where you'd have to buy an average of 83 packs to achieve the same thing without trading:
I also just found out that Nintendo has been kind enough to display/list all the cards currently available here, so maybe you don't have to handtype a whole list on your own Khush?

So I just caved and more Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards are on their way. I should definitely have a decent chance at collecting a full set if I can find people to trade with. (At least Series 1... ugh I don't even want to think about Series 2 yet)
By the way, I've never collected cards before. I vaguely remember all the Magic: The Gathering players at my HS having sleeves and binders, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good storage solution for these Amiibo Cards?

Just picked up 14 more packs at a Walmart. 22 total. Should be done, assuming trades work in my favor. :D
Storage solution: There's an "official" binder coming out in EU for these. No word of a US release. :(

22 packs total. 132 total cards. 71 towards my set of 100 - leaving 29 needed. 61 duplicates.
Oh, my weary blind-pack trading card friend... where have you been?
Title: Re: The Animal Crossing Amiibo Trading Card Trading Post
Post by: Khushrenada on September 27, 2015, 01:43:47 AM
I picked up 8 more packs today. I decided to take an extra pack in case it helps with trading and potentially getting lucky with a few new cards. Nothing worse than going through a pack and every card is a duplicate. Arghhhh!
End result is 108 total cards. 68/100 collected. 40 duplicates. I seem to have had a little better odds than Unclebob who is only 3 ahead of me by acquiring 24 more cards than me. I must take solace where I can.
I guess now would be the time to start opening up trading. I am still looking for the following in order by their card number and name:
3. DJ KK 10. Pascal 14. Luna 17. Lottie 27. Lopez 34. Kiki 36. Alli 51. Opal 66. Gruff 78. Roscoe 92. Henry 96. Cole 97. Willow 99. Molly
Woah, I was right, you HAVE given this way more thought than me Khushrenada!
Not that much. I just suddenly realized as I was creating the thread that it was putting us in a territory NWR has sort of avoided involving real life possessions trading hands so I figured I best try to make this as acceptable as possible in the hopes we are allowed to do this.

I think you mean Bunnie (#87), aka Sidney Crosby. Well, since I have 2 extra of that character, I'd say you don't need to worry about missing out on that card.

Well, the analysis is right in about special cards. I need 6 of them still. However, I only need 26 of the regular cards so I'm a doing a little better than the odds. But in the words of Han Solo, "Never tell me the odds."

You guys already have all your cards in hand but almost all of the cards I'm buying I'm having shipped to me, so bear with me while the postal service winds its way to my house.

Haha, you're right. Thanks for the correction Khush! Wiiiiiii success!

Dude, get your list in order if you want to trade. :D
I assume that 86 is supposed to be 96. 96 is Cole, 86 is Chief. :D
You have 9 cards I need, I have 13 cards you need. Looks like I have the upperhand. :D From your list, I have these that you need. 3 DJ KK 14 Luna 27 Lopez 34 Kiki 36 Alli 48 Sterling 59 Nate 65 Midge 68 Clyde 78 Roscoe 92 Henry 93 Bertha 97 Willow
And you have these that I need 6 Resetti 24 Kyle 35 Deli 37 Kabuki 54 Deena 62 T-Bone 76 Jeremiah 87 Bunnie 94 Cyrano

You may have the upper hand right now but, if Kairon ever decides to get his house in order and participate, that balance of power could change. For now, consider the 9 that you could use from me as yours. In order to acquire all the cards, I imagine we may have to rely on other places of trade either locally or on other sites unless we suddenly get a strong influx of other participants. But by knowing what we can get from each other first, it will make easier to know what we can already acquire and what we can trade.
And yes, 86 is supposed to be 96 Cole.

For what it's worth, I in talks with a friend to host a trading card day with ny local StreetPass group, so I might be able to finish my set and maybe get a few extras to help you two out.
For what it's worth, here's how I generally trade cards and it works out fairly well.
If both parties want a specific card, it's a 1:1 even trade. If one party wants a specific card and the other doesn't need anything/anymore, then it's 2 random (like) cards for the one specific. The only qualifier for the "like" cards would be special for special in this case.
2-for-1 trades give the other person more wiggle room for completing his/her own set in exchange for what odds say is probably a slightly more desirable card (since someone needs it, after all). Since we're all friends here, I'm not stuck hard to the 2:1 rule. Also, generally, after I complete my personal set, I go back to 1:1 trades, or just sell my extras for cash.

UPDATE: All card packs accounted for! I got 26 packs in total (got 10 shipped in a single order from GameStop online alone!) plus the free special card that came with my New Nintendo 3DS bundle.
These are the cards I'm missing:
UPDATE 2: I have completed Series 1!
Here's my current list of many doubles (http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=48297.msg885635#msg885635).

Man, you've got a lot of duplicates.
Well going by Kairon's duplicates, I can get Kiki (34), Nate (59) and Roscoe (78) from Kairon reducing Unclebob's need to supply me cards from 13 to 10. Including those three, these are the cards I currently still need which Kairon states he can provide:
That's 9 for 9 and a special for special card in that trade as well.
As for Kairon, I'm working on a couple local trades and am waiting for a reply from one person. Depending on that reply, I may be able to supply you a Quillson (41) and Mint (63) card. Haven't been able to come up with much else besides them. Was hoping I might come up with more to make it a more even trade like with UncleBob but we may have to arrange something else. I'll let you know more when I get the answers.

Khush and Karion, I propose the following trades From Khush to UncleBob 6 Resetti 54 Deena 62 T-Bone 87 Bunnie 94 Cyrano 24 Kyle 35 Deli 37 Kabuki 76 Jeremiah +1 Random Special and 2 Random Others
From UncleBob to Khush 3 DJ KK 14 Luna 48 Sterling 51 Opal 59 Nate 65 Midge 68 Clyde 78 Roscoe 92 Henry 93 Bertha 96 Cole 27 Lopez
From Karion to UncleBob 66 Gruff 9 Digby 17 Lottie 49 Bonbon 50 Punchy 72 Lionel
From UncleBob to Karion 41 Quillson 60 Samson 63 Mint 79 Truffles 27 Lopez 97 Willow
12 for 12 with Khush and 6 for 6 with Karion. I request that you pack the cards nicely in a small box to keep them from getting damaged. I, of course, will do the same.
Are these terms agreeable with you two?

Hm. I may need t look over my lists again. I thought I was hooking Khush up with the same nine cards he proposed, plus the few extra he needed - I see that's not the case. :/

Post by: Khushrenada on October 08, 2015, 01:38:52 PM
Yeah, your proposal might still work. I'm supposed to meet up with someone for a trade tonight. Depending on how that goes, I may yet need those extra. You'll have my answer by tonight.
Title: Re: The Animal Crossing Amiibo Trading Card Trading Post
Post by: Khushrenada on October 12, 2015, 11:42:21 PM
Alright. Let's see if we can't finally make a trade. I was able to acquire a bunch of missing cards. That said, I'd still like to make a major trade with UncleBob. Going back to the first deal we had and a bit of this second one, the trade I'd propose is this:
UncleBob provides:
3 DJ KK 14 Luna 27 Lopez 34 Kiki 36 Alli 51 Opal 78 Roscoe 92 Henry 96 Cole 97 Willow
That's 10 from UncleBob and 9 from me. The deficit being the 1 more special card from UncleBob than I am sending him. For that, I can give you two random cards or any extra cards I have of your choosing. But I have a suggestion about that which you will learn as you continue reading.
That will leave me just looking for 4 more cards.
10. Pascal 17. Lottie 66. Gruff 99. Molly.
Now, Kairon has Lottie and Gruff and I have 3 cards I can offer him which are Kyle, Samson and Truffles. That's 2 regular for the special and 1 and 1 regular swap. But, UncleBob is also looking for Lottie and Gruff and in his recent proposal he also had Samson and Truffles to trade but no Kyle. Poor Kairon just can not seem to get a great match-up between his needs and our extras.
Right now, I don't see much available for trade locally to get more cards for Kairon unless I were to just buy them. Thus, UncleBob seems to be the better trade partner since he can offer more than I can. Therefore, my proposal is that I let UncleBob make the Gruff and Lottie trade with Kairon and I just work on sourcing them locally. However, in my trade with UncleBob, I'll send him my other Kyle card which Kairon needs since I owe him a card or two for the extra special I need from him and then he can add that to his potential trade with Kairon since he's asking for 2 special cards from Kairon but only providing regular cards on his end. Giving an extra card that Kairon could use should help even the scales a bit.
How does this proposal work with you all?
Title: Re: The Animal Crossing Amiibo Trading Card Trading Post
Post by: Kairon on October 13, 2015, 12:13:19 AM
That makes sense to me. This makes it sound like my trade with UncleBob could still be...
However, under your proposal UncleBob will have an extra card that I am looking for:
24 Kyle
UncleBob, are there any more cards from me that you would need/want that I can trade you?

Those to trades work for me, but with one change - Khush, can you just go ahead and send Kyle straight to Karion? Then, Karion, just throw in any random extra card so I do an even 10-for-10 trade with Khush and 7-for-7 with Karion, but we can get all the trades out asap without me having to wait for Khush's package to arrive to send Karion's out?
If that all sounds good, PM me addresses and I'll PM replies. :D

Hi Cindy! I don't think I need any of your doubles, but if I could trade for your number 53 and 66 (limberg and gruff) that would give me doubles of those... are there any of my list of triples in reply #15 on this thread that you're particularly keen o pick up? I could at the very least round out my doubles collection in case I need to trade some of them in the future.
P.S. I picked up one more pack of cards and updated my lists on that previous post. Found myself a Tiffany! Yay!

Wow you guys have this game figured out :cool;
It might be a little late to jump in, but it's worth a shot. I'm helping a friend who is looking for:
14. Luna 42. Marcie
I'd be pleased as punch if I can just get these two cards! haven't had much luck locally finding them. We have quite a few extras between friends and myself that we are trying to trade off/sell.
[edit] Alright, got the big list down. Those two cards are still the priority, but I wouldn't mind finishing off the Special cards for myself: need 1, 4, 7, 9, 13, 14.
As you can see lots of extras. Even if you don't have anything we're looking for, I wouldn't mind trading if it means helping others out (as long as I don't end up with even more doubles of ones I already have :P: : : ).
Thank you!
[edit]
For Khush: 10 66 99
For kairon: 5 10 22 24 40 58 60 63 77 88 91

Hi Dan!
Welcome to a new Animal Crossing thread! Glad to have a familiar face join us. I am still looking for those cards and would be willing to do a trade with you. I have an extra #1 card of Isabelle that I can give you. Have you gone through my list? Are there any of the other extras of mine that I posted that you could use?
Let me know.

Wow Dan! You have a lot of cards I want! I have have none that you're looking for T-T.
From your list specifically I was looking for
5 10 22 40 58 77 88 91
Out of your list. Yowza!
Would you be willing to trade for $$$? Or maybe trade for twice the number of cards that will give you doubles where you used to have singles before?

Khushrenada- thank you for the welcome! Great, those three cards are yours. Sure, I'd love Isabelle. Is your list of extras on the first page still accurate? I'll have a look through it.
Kairon- awesome, happy to help even though you don't have any cards I'm looking for - as long as it means I can get rid of some of these doubles! Sure, moolah works if you're ok with that too (might be easier since we're trading a lot of cards)? I'm trying to reduce the number of cards I have haha. Money, eshop game (not sure if you can gift them now actually), some sort of credit or something maybe.

Okay, update time:
I've cut some deals and if all goes according to plan should be able to get a 7, and 42 for you Dan Laser! Also get those specific special cards to round out your collection as well if everything bears out. ALSO, Khush, would you still be looking for a #17 Lottie? Because I'm angling to get an extra copy of that card as well!
I just don't have any of those cards in hand yet... come on postal service!

Plus I expect to get these really soon:
7 Joan 9 Digby 14 Luna
Do you need that second Luna? Also, I think Khush said he had an extra 1-Isabelle he could trade.
Would this be an even trade for the cards you listed above? 6/7 Specials and 1 Normal from me for 2 Specials and 6 Normals from you? Please let me know!

Let me get in on a trade with Dan Laser. Have you had a chance to go through my extras? Are there any you'd want to make it a 3 for 3 trade? It's time to complete these collections.

Very sorry for not checking in! I meant to reply sooner.
Kairon, I just replied your message. That is looking great - you've managed to find a lot of cards! If you are able to get a second #14 that would be great, but if not no problem. Since I may be getting a lot of specials from you, are there any other cards you may need?
I will stick to trading Isabelle with Khush, though, since he needs a few of my cards. Hope that's OK!
Khush, I finally went through your list. How about: 1. Isabelle, 80. Eugene, and 81. Eunice? Are those guys still available?

Dan Laser,
That works for me! There are a couple of cards from your list that might be useful for me to have: 24, 60, 63. Would it be cool if you could add maybe one or two of those to your trade with me? Heck, I'd take all three if you can! Haha! And yes, I should be able to get that extra #14 for ya.

Sweet, awesome! And those extra 3 cards are yours!
So does Khush only need #17 from you? Did you want it send it with my cards, then I can include it with the 3 from me? Or does that just complicate things?

Hey Dan,
I'll send Khush his card directly, so no need to worry about that.

Oh, I should ask, did you need any others besides the 3 from me? Because if so, just list them and I'll throw them in for free. I don't need the extras for anything else at this point and as long as the three trades with you, Kairon and UB go through, I have the full set so those cards are useless to me aside from trying to sell them locally and I'm not sure I really want to go through the hassle of a bunch of $2.00 sales.

Oh sure I'll take you up on that! I wouldn't mind 76 Jeremia and 87 Bunnie as well. Those are the only other two I would need. Thanks!
Anyone need 45-Octavian or 69-Bella? Just added those two to the list.
Also, if anyone is actually playing the game, you can now get the Monster Hunter Felyne villager character via spotpass (using the laptop on the second floor of your shop). Collect all the villagers!

Ugh. Just starting.
Only bought 5 packs, and am relatively happy with the results. 7 doubles in total, including one special. I know that 3 of the normal doubles are needed by locals so should be easy trades. From the 5 special cards received, 3 are characters that I rather like (Isabelle, Pascal, and Saharah) which is a big deal for me. Lottie can go suck it.
Now if only they will come out with a Spork card. My wife told me that if it happens, we are buying non-stop until we get him. (She's actually hoping for a real Amiibo, but cards is probably the closest that will actually happen.)
If anyone is still looking for specific cards, send me a PM or post what you need here? I'm not going to catch 'em all and only care about a handful of villagers, so am pretty flexible about swapping cards even if it's not something I have multiple of. Big caveat: I live in Canada, and cross-border shipping isn't awesome.

Willing to trade anything to help a gamer out, as long as I don't already own the cards coming back. Obviously prefer to trade away cards with an asterisk though.

I've mailed what I'm supposed to mail today.
For ejamer, I take it that when you list your collection, that means anything not listed is missing for you and it is not just a list of your extras that you are posting. Am I correct on that?

Correct - that list is everything I currently own. Maybe I should do it the other way around, and only list cards for trade/that I want? The trick is, I'm ok trading away cards that I only have one of, if it helps someone else finish their collection.
I might be late to the party anyway, with everyone else already done trading. :)

one of us... one of us...
You've got a nice start of a collection so far, ejamer! I'm going to post my list of current doubles if it helps anyone:
I'm not looking for anything in particular right now, but anything you need for your collection, ejamer? Listing what you have works, but I suppose if there are particular cards you want, you could always list those too!
Title: Re: The Animal Crossing Amiibo Trading Card Trading Post

The only three specific characters I'm keen on getting are Tom Nook, Spork, and Hugh... but I think that only one of those (Nook) is released so far and I think that I can trade for him locally. [Edit: Totally lied by mistake. Also hoping to nab a Resetti sometime as he's one of my favorite characters.]
I want the whole set eventually, but am not sure if that'll actually happen. So in the meantime, just happy to help out anyone else here who actually thinks they can get a full set. Maybe I'll be more useful when wave 2 gets released. ;D

That is very nice of you to be here to help others complete their collections!
I'd say you are in a pretty good position to complete Series 1 if you chose to, though! With many people done or almost done their collections, the collectors have plenty of cards left to get rid of (just look at the lists posted here!) While its not as fun as buying blind packs, you could probably just straight up buy the cards you need from people tying to get rid of their extra. How is the trading/selling amiibo availability locally?
Title: Re: The Animal Crossing Amiibo Trading Card Trading Post

... How is the trading/selling amiibo availability locally?
Local trading seems to be ok. There are a few collectors close by - but I think most of their active trading is already done and people are finishing off their collections. It's funny because you can see that all the local collectors are looking for the same few cards... haha. Random distribution is rough like that. :)
Buying Amiibos is pretty good. I hadn't even seen the cards until recently, but found several stores with plenty of stock. The Amiibo figures are also pretty easy to get locally because we live in a small town - it's pretty common to see rare figures when stock comes in, although they obviously don't stick on shelves for long. (Haha @ Uncle Bob - his "rare" stand-alone Modern Mario figure I sent down isn't so rare any longer it seems!)
Buying individual cards might be a good idea, as you say. If you guys plan on selling your left-overs and want to discuss the possibility of dumping a bunch at one time, PM me. I'm a bit cheap and still doubtful about getting the whole set.. but at the same time, I'm a sucker for collecting and would definitely think it over.

Ok. Just wanted to make sure. The reason I asked is that I can provide you with the following:
8 Timmy Nook (Not quite Tom Nook but close as can be.) 11 Harriet 16 Lyle 26 Renee 32 Bluebear 38 Patty 44 Shari 47 Knox 54 Deena 56 Bangle 75 Amelia 81 Eunice 82 Goose 83 Annalisa
You've got 38 so far. That's 14 more. That puts you over halfway there at 52 cards. If you want to pm your address, I'll ship 'em to you. There's nothing you need to ship me. I've had my UB and Dan Laser shipments come in and have all the cards but Lottie which Kairon has shipped my way already and am just waiting for it to arrive. Series 1 is done for me. Those 14 are extra and I have no desire to keep random extras and I'd rather give them to someone who'd want them or needs them for their collection.
That said, while there's nothing to trade now, perhaps when Series 2 comes out, you may be able to help me out with some cards then so allow me to start making some early trading. Since Hugh will be in Series 2 (no Spork though), you may be investing into it as well and help me out then.
I know there's a few names I really want in Series 2 with my favorite villager Ruby being available as well as some others like Beau, Pecan and Pekoe. In fact, there's seems to be a lot of favorite villagers in there like Phil's favorite, Philbert or Lucariofan's potential favorite, Nana. Actually, there's a lot of characters I recognize more from the Animal Crossing Mafia game we played a year ago despite never having them visit my town. There's ShyGuy's Jay and RedBlue's Coach and Stratos's Hopper and others. I love it. Brings back memories of a great game. And now I want them because they are forum members more than Animal Crossing characters. If you haven't been checking it out already, this site has a photo of all the Series 2 characters (http://nintendoenthusiast.com/news/all-animal-crossing-amiibo-cards-from-series-2-confirmed/) released in Japan already. Best start getting ready for round 2.
Anyways, back to the main point, you can have those cards for free. Maybe you can help me later with Series 2 cards or if you come across an extra Kabuki card. Even if you can't or don't, I'm willing to send them to you regardless.

Aw, thanks Khush! What about a slightly smaller list, since Dan Laser is also helping me out?
If I got the cards listed below from you, then I would repay the favor when set 2 comes out. Is there a North American release date? Edit: Yes there is! Jan 22, 2016 (http://www.nintendo.com/amiibo/detail/animal-crossing-cards-series-2-amiibo-animal-crossing-series (http://www.nintendo.com/amiibo/detail/animal-crossing-cards-series-2-amiibo-animal-crossing-series))
Also, I should be able to get an extra Kabuki - just PM me your address and I'll ship you one! Edit: Extra Kabuki secured - as soon as I have your mailing address, it'll be sent your way.
Unrelated note: Accidentally found out last night that, despite laughing at me collecting them, my wife bought a few packs of Amiibo cards for Christmas. She's the bestest.

I'll mail ejamer's cards out soon, then I'll update my list of left overs.
Thanks again for the trades so far!
Ahh I don't know if I want to start thinking about Series 2 yet! I might focus on getting the SP cards, but I"m sure there are going to be some villagers I want. We'll see how strong I am.
...Actually, there's a lot of characters I recognize more from the Animal Crossing Mafia game we played a year ago despite never having them visit my town....
Haha it's funny you mention the Mafia game. I was quite happy when I found Punchy (the character I had). I also got T-Bone in the first pack which was cool.

Hi ejamer. Yes, I should have gotten back to you about the Kabuki card but I actually ended up sick last week and, while one might think it would mean spending more time on the internet, it actually resulted in me just quickly checking in and barely replying much on the site. As it stands, I'm feeling better and will now tell you and all other traders the whole Kabuki story. I had an earlier trade with UncleBob to send him a Kabuki card. However, on the day I gathered the cards to mail out, this happened and I sent UB the following message on it:
So, I just encountered a minor tragedy with one of your cards. I was getting ready to wrap them and double checking that I had all that I was supposed to send you when, for whatever reason, the Kabuki card had become stuck to the back of the Kyle card and so a little tear occurred at the top as I was going through the stack. I've taken a picture of what it looks like.
I can still send it to you but I know the expectation is to get these in good shape so I'm really bummed this happen. If you want another card or two from my extras to make up for it, let me know and I'll add them. But I just wanted to check in with you first on it.
Needless to say, UncleBob was pissed and hurled language at me that hasn't even been discovered by sailors yet. ;) So, the reason for the Kabuki card is actually just to replace the one I sent him so I'm not the one that is going to ultimately receive that card and I'm not sure about sending it to me just so that I can send it to him. Since we've been talking about collaborating on Series 2, my plan right now is to just wait until that wave hits and we all start coordinating again on those. It could be that you make a trade with UncleBob at that time and can just send the card to him then. It may be that you do need to ship it my way first with a trade I make. Or maybe UncleBob will just take it now and contact you with his shipping information to get it. Not sure but might as well bring this up and let him know what is happening.
I haven't even shipped your cards yet with me being home sick but I'll get on that this week. Shipping is cheap enough. When I sent Dan Laser's cards out, the shipping was like $4 - $5 maybe and that was because of the fancy packaging mainly. Also, I received Kairon's Lottie card shipment at the end of last week so I'm good there and that means my Series 1 collection is officially complete. How's everyone else doing? I hope I'm not the only one to finish up so far. I had hoped we could all complete them together. But I did just end up buying a few locally to finish my collection.
Haha it's funny you mention the Mafia game. I was quite happy when I found Punchy (the character I had). I also got T-Bone in the first pack which was cool.
I was excited to get Punchy as well in part because it was a character I recognized thanks to Mafia. I actually had Eugene move into my village at some point after the game but didn't really care for him. Still, when I saw his card, I made the Pokepal148 connection and was kind of glad to have him. I also had T-Bone but didn't like him as much as Angus so that one didn't matter as much to me. I kind of really want Coach though because of RedBlue and because of how things went with him in the game. It is funny how we've got these connections to these characters outside the video game.

Not forgotten! ...but I thought you were done collecting set 1 and waiting for set 2 to start? Thought maybe it would be easier to do some trading in Jan/Feb of next year that way.
Don't worry. I'm in for the long haul even if I don't own any game that makes good use of these cards yet. Cynical comment: here's hoping a game that makes good use of them gets released someday, right? right? ;)
If you want to sell cards instead of trading, or just want to give cards away, I'll look over your list sooner though.

If interested in a trade, I would be happy to send you #s: 013, 037, 073
That would be half of the remaining cards you need. I'll be getting a few new packs of cards at Christmas that might help fill in some of the remaining gaps - but not sure if you want to wait that long before agreeing on a trade?
From your list, I definitely still need: 004, 009, 036, 041, 076, 086
Any three from that list would be ok for me. Note that the list is a bit shorter thanks to a (likely) local trade in progress.
Let me know what you think! :)

Between that recent arrival, a pending local trade, possibly some cards coming from Khush, and hopefully a trade with UncleBob, I could be down to 15 cards from a full set. Crazy!

It was a simple typo - I was supposed to be at work when posting - but I humbly accept my new (deserved) title. Feel free to use dingdong for short. :-[
On an upside, Xenoblade Chronicles X finally arrived today. Only managed to play a short time. Don't like the initial setup better than what was in the previous game, but it feels great. Familiar in all the right ways. I can see the entire holiday break being, and probably a few months afterwards, being lost here.

Title: Re: The Animal Crossing Amiibo Trading Card Trading Post

I kind of fell off the bandwagon during the holidays because of other responsibilities taking center stage... but with series 2 coming soon am started to get excited again. Still need to go through and see which series 1 cards I need too, since that list is getting much smaller. (Semi-related: pre-ordered the Resetti and Blathers figures, which will sit nicely beside my Villager, Tom Nook, and Mabel.)
I want to send a big thanks to Khushrenada! The cards you sent arrived over Christmas break and looked fantastic. In a few weeks, maybe I can repay the favor. :)
Also want to remind Uncle Bob to PM me if he's interested in a small trade. I've got a few cards he was looking for from series 1 set aside, although maybe it's better to hold off anyway until after series 2 trading starts.

Sounds like all card have arrived, and people's collections are growing as well as have been completed. Yay!
Hope everyone had a great holiday and has some money waiting for Wave 2!
Have people preordered cards, or are most just going to pick them up when they see them in store?
Title: Re: The Animal Crossing Amiibo Trading Card Trading Post

I've pre-ordered as many cards as I could at Best Buy, but will have to pick them up in-store. I'll do my best to get at least 17 packs of Series 2 at launch, but I may fall short that number and take my time making up the difference since I recall Series 1 card packs were super easy to get once a couple of weeks had passed.

I ended up preordering 5 pack on Amazon, but won't get them until next week. I'll try to pick up a few packs between work tomorrow too. Let's hope we can find some before they're all bought out. Like you said though, in a few weeks they'll be easy to find again.
Good luck on the hunt!

Yeah, I've got 5 packs in hand now, and 2 more packs I have to pick up in store. I might take my time for the rest until Best Buy opens the items up for shipping straight to me instead of forcing store pickup.

That's odd that they are only offering in store pick up at the moment. Sounds annoying!
I might be getting ahead a bit then here, but here's what looks to be the extras and needs at the moment. I'll try to edit as soon as I can if there are any changes.
Also want to remind Uncle Bob to PM me if he's interested in a small trade. I've got a few cards he was looking for from series 1 set aside, although maybe it's better to hold off anyway until after series 2 trading starts.
I am sorry - I thought I had posted here to note - I had completed my Series 1 set a little while ago. A few trades at the Best Buy Event (where I got me one of those fancy promo binders!) and one eBay deal where I got the last five cards I needed to finish off the entire set.
I have 34 Series 2 duplicates and need 26 cards (bought one box of 18 packs on launch day). I'd also kill a man for a CP Isabelle at a decent price.
I'll post my duplicates/S2 wants here in a few.

Ah, no worries! I wasn't going to push anything until the series 2 trades started, so this is fine.
Speaking of series 2, went looking in local stores over the weekend with no luck. I'll be in the thread when I've got cards, hopefully before too long.

Hello Uncle Bob....
Would you be interested in trading my 114, 125, 129, 134, 141, 143, 144, 163, 181, 185, 192, 193 (1 special, 11 reg)
Since no one else has posted lists yet, I'm cool with waiting too.

Got my first 3 packs of Series 2 cards yesterday! :)
It'll take me a while to get enough cards to do a decent trade - I'll probably be able to pick up a few packs each week though, and will post doubles I've got along the way.

ARGH! It's killing me that Best Buy isn't shipping these right now! I need to buy more packs but I can't travel to the stores where they do have them available... and I'm THIS CLOSE to paying more than MSRP for these things (the hunger GROWS) whether the price increase comes from shipping and handling or just plain old price gouging.
This whole waiting for the prices to come down game is doing such a number on me that I actually started considering buying Amazon Prime... GAH! >_<

Time to get upset at NoA again. Just found out about something called Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards Collectors Album. Once again, NoE gets something pretty darn cool while N/A gets the shaft.
Click here to find out what we need to be jealous about now. (http://www.amazon.com/Animal-Crossing-Amiibo-Cards-Collectors-Album/dp/B015DR8218/ref=pd_sim_63_5?ie=UTF8&dpID=51KSjiSokML&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=15ZD747BC63EJER9ARRX)
Here's hoping the new Nintendo Loyalty program makes this an item we can acquire here in N/A as this is exactly how I'd want to keep my AC cards.

Wow, that is EXACTLY the sort of thing I was looking for when Series 1 came out, but saw that it wasn't in NA. Well, too late, I'm now invested heavily in an ULTRA Pro ecosystem with a 360 capacity binder (Good for three series!)
http://amzn.com/B00Y7BHYW0
and same-brand deck boxes to store duplicates plus same-brand card sleeves that FIT in the actual binder itself (yay! Double protection!).
Also, an update: just caved and used a combination of Amazon and Toys R Us (Amiibo is buy 1 get 1 50% off until Feb. 18) to order myself up to a full complement of Series 2 cards along with a bunch of other shopping. Now to wait until it actually gets here with the slow free shipping I selected...

Yes, I still have 130. But wait until the end of the day - I'm probably going to buy a few additional packs, so might have more to offer. Will post again either tonight or tomorrow with status update!

Not upset... but definitely jealous. I'm still looking for a decent storage solution, not quite ready to spring the $40+ CAD required to import one of these though.

So I found out something interesting last night: Timmy (008) from series 1 has two versions due to a misprint in the french name. One version says Melo, the other version says Meli. I have a Melo Timmy - what about you?

AHHHH Rare misprinted Timmy card from Canada!!!!
Yeah, I only have Melo Timmys. Is the Meli more rare?

Man, I still have plenty of extras, like you Kairon. If someone out there hasn't started Series 2, they should skip it and just go for the next Series, then trade those extras for our S2s!

Dan Laser, I have the following doubles if you're still looking for them! 106, 115, 133, 136, 138
I don't need 138 any more, but I still need the others.
Quote

Yup, have them all. I'm up for this trade!
I'd love one of those animal crossing-themed binders, but I may settle for one of the Ultra Pro ones. Maybe they will release an AC one to hold all of the cards...
I will have to go check my Timmy card when I get home! Meli & Melo is a pretty cute name for Timmy and Tommy. It's sorta like "mix & match", but makes me think of Bits & Bites snacks http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/christie-bits-bites-original/6000187075855
And ejamer!
Once you are done working out the trade with Kairon, I would be interested in: 104 140 151

I'm not sure, but assume the Meli Timmy is more rare since (according to the internet) they did fix the name in later printings. (But it depends on when the mistake was noticed and fixed... maybe there are actually more of the misprints than the other way around!)

I have doubles for two of those three available still, and the remaining I still have a single of. To me, there is no difference between missing one card or another so I'm happy to send you that single for a different card I'm missing. Will be in touch via PM for details!
Updated my list of available extras above based on the assumption that I send you these three cards. :)

I don't know what everyone's current status is, but based off the two offers posted to me, here's what I've got.
Dan: I can send you 109, 115, 119, 136, 140, 150, 159, 187, 197 For you to send me 114, 125, 129, 134, 141, 143, 193
This is one short from your original deal (I gave it to some kid at the TRU Pokemon event who needed it but had nothing to trade me...) - I removed a few the cards from your side as well. (144, 163, 181, 185, 192 they no longer appears on the list you updated just I was posting mine...)
Kairon: I can send you 130, 137, 150, 183 + two other random cards For you to send me 133, 144, 160, 185, 189
This is everything I have that you need that isn't already on Dan's list.
Let me know.

Hey guys!
So I recently made a trade with ejamer so I'd like to propose some amendments to our trades Dan Laser, Unclebob:
Dan Laser: I send you: 106, 115, 133, 136 You send me: 163, 172, 181, 190
Unclebob: I send you: 144, 160, 185, 189 You send me: 137, 150 ( +any two series 2 cards)
How does that sound guys?
Dang, thank god Series 4 is way out in June because Series 3 just came out and I'm playing catch-up!

Holy crap. You're right. I didn't even realize it. I thought Series 3 was another month off. Cube, Hamlet, Blathers, Pete! Not a lot of most wanted like Series 2 but regardless, I need to get my act together and refocus on my AC Card Collection. I'm falling way behind!

Alright. I'm way to this party and with all the trades that have been happening, I'm not sure I want to try tracing who has what for trade still. So, what I'm going to do is just post what cards I have extra of and then list what I am looking for and if someone else can see a trade they can make, feel free to propose it. Note, this is just for Series 2 cards right now.
Title: Re: The Animal Crossing Amiibo Trading Card Trading Post

As for Series 3, I just bought 3 packs today. So far, no duplicates. I love when that happens. Makes me feel like buying some more now. My plan is to stay up to date with Series 3 trading but I expect the Series 2 catch-up to take some time. At least I got Hamlet early on with my Series 3 buying. Glad to get one of my favorites right away like that.
Also, I feel that I had an extra Timmy card in the Series 1 trading we did. Did I send someone a Timmy card? Did they get lucky and get the misspelled copy? I'm curious about that.

Well, poop. I bought four packs of Series 2 yesterday. I tried to find some at a Target while they had BOGO50% off and no luck - but found four packs of Series 2 at a Toys R Us and grabbed them.
Came home, opened them, sorted them, and had five cards I didn't have - yay!
Until I went and updated my spreadsheet. Four of the five cards are ones I have coming in from trades here. So, I bought 4 packs of cards and got one. One. Boo-urns.
Going to post my most up-to-date list of wants and haves here in a few.

Khush - you have 2 Series 2 cards that I need - 128 & 133. I did not sort through your list of needs - but I'm guessing I have more than a few that you need. If you want to work out a trade for two cards or wait and see what more Series 3 (or Series 2 if you plan on buying more) cards you get, that'd be fine. Shipping is expensive. :(

Haha, I've been caught in the same irony UncleBob. Oh well, all part of the trading game I figure.
Khush, I have threee trades in progress right now as well as a bunch of packs (series 2 AND 3) that I need to open, so I think I'll need a week or two for the dust to settle and for me to see where I stand.
After I do that I'll be able to update my list (including Series 3) and we can see if there's any trades that make sense!
Today I'm off to buy more card sleeves (Ack! I'm out!) and another Ultra Pro Binder (My first binder fits all of series 1 to 3, but I need to get ready for Series 4).

Understandable. I'll wait for everyone to finish their trades and go through inventories again at that point. Plus, with Series 3 now out, I'll keep up with that and can trade those and series 2 at the same time cutting down on number of shipments. I'll keep updating my list as I check out the local used market as well.

I have that you need: 202, 205, 213, 222, 225, 245, 257, 272, 273, 296
How about I throw $10 in and we do a trade?

The latest series hasn't been in stock locally when I've gone to stores - plus I was caring for a sick wife and kids last week so haven't been able to make normal checks. But I'm really excited about Series 3. There are a few big cards in this release I'll be looking for...
Hope you guys are doing better. :)

Attention Dan Laser! Please report to the AC Trading Post!
Series 1 For trade: 02 (2), 35 (3), 56 (3), 57, 68, 72 (3), 85, 87, 99 (2)
Going over your list, I have 7 cards that I can provide you with:
123, 128, 147, 158, 183, 191, 196.
However, you only have 5 extra I'm looking for.
105, 126, 130, 173, 190.
Now, one of those cards is a special so we could consider it worth 2 of my regulars but still a card short in trading. However, if you want, we can both set these cards aside from now and see what happens with Series 3 trading and maybe we make a bigger trade with those cards.
Thoughts?

Hey UncleBob, sure thing! Ummm... I guess there's no reason to wait for anything? Series 4 aint coming out in a good long while thank goodness.

Also bought 3 more packs of Series 3. That brings me up to 36 cards for that series but so far I only have 4 extra. I like this current ratio of new to extra. I hope it never ends.
But don't get your hopes up UncleBob. Checking over my 4 extra, you already have them all. I updated me list a few posts back but for quick reference, this is what they are:
225 - Ken 238 - Friga 257 - Klaus 283 - Frank

Reporting for duty, sir!
Sure, I'm interested in trading those cards, but I think your plan of waiting a bit for S3 cards is a good idea. I've put those 5 cards aside for you. I've bought some S3 card packs, so I'll try to get my numbers up here soon.
I received the cards from ejamer (thanks!) and have removed the crossed-out cards on my list to confirm that I have them. It's nice to see the lists get shorter and shorter.

Bought 4 more Series 3 packs today bringing my total to 10 packs. Was hoping to have 50% of Series 3 complete but ended up at 45%. That means I've got more extras to report. Here's my current Series 3 extras now:
I'll still be buying 8 more packs which is the mathematical fewest one would have to buy if they got 100% success rate with acquiring new cards every pack.

Dang... I've been trying to get more cards, but local stores haven't restocked. :(
Sadly, they do have plenty of Series 1 - which might be why Series 3 is so scarce?

I finally got another 8 packs of Series 3 cards. My 75% average of new cards dropped to 63%. I'm just going through everyone's lists and I will make a trade tomorrow proposal tomorrow involving Kairon, UncleBob and Dan Laser from what I'm seeing here. But it's late for me right now and my brain is shutting down so look for that tomorrow night. It's not going to be huge trades but about 6 - 8 cards a person. If anyone else wants to get in on the action, better start joining in soon.

Ok. Trade proposals. Here we go.
I'll start with Dan Laser because we tabled some Series 2 cards awhile ago. Including those, this is my current trade proposal:
For your cards 105, 126, 130, 173, 190, 228, 235, 241, 244, 256, 259, 260 and 298, I will trade you my cards of 123, 128, 147, 158, 183, 191, 196, 214, 215, 237, 238, 239, 247, 261 and 292. That's 13 cards from you and 15 cards from me. One of those extra 2 is also a special card so you are sort of at a deficit in this trade but I'm willing to help out a friend or do it for potential futures on the Series 4 where maybe you can make up the difference then if it works out that way.
For UncleBob, my trade proposal is the following:
For your cards 202, 213, 258, 268, 273, 289, 290 and 296, I will trade you 133, 210, 214, 221, 233, 251, 254 and 292. All special and regular card trades are even.
Finally, for Kairon, I have the following proposal:
For your cards 209, 223, 255, 271 and 280, I will trade you 218, 236, 247, 254, 283 and 300. Since I am requesting a special card from you but do not have one to trade in return, I am including an extra regular card to make up the difference hence the 5 for 6 trade.
Let me know if you want to do this.

8* is the reprinted version of Timmy (with Meli printed on the left and a star in the bottom, right-hand corner).
CP Isabelle/KK were included in a weird-ass Japanese magazine. I missed the first one (with Isabelle), but grabbed two copies of the second in hopes I'll be able to trade it for a CP Isabelle down the road.

Hey everyone!
I think that I have the following cards available:
Would any of those help people? You all have done favors for me, so I'd be happy to send out cards for free in return.
Still trying to get more packs of Series 3 and having a hard time sourcing them locally. Weird that it's so tough to find these ones when the first two series were pretty easy to stumble across. I'll post an update here later if I can gather some more singles.
Kairon: Did you still want 224, 254, 277, and 300? I had set those cards aside for you and them promptly forgot about them... :-[

I've only got an old list with me, so will need to double-check tomorrow... but I think my Series 2 extras look like: 105, 113, 120, 136, 151, 155, 166, 167 (*2), 194
I might have some others available or be able to trade for something - let me know what you are looking for and I'll see if I can dig them up locally for you!
Also, PM your address and I'll mail 217 next time I'm at the post office.

Let me know if you claim it and I'll edit this out. Also, the game is awesome and totally worth buying. If you enjoy it and want to support the developers, the new DLC is pretty cool too!

Title: Re: The Animal Crossing Amiibo Trading Card Trading Post

So, I finally decided to take a chance and buy 3 more packs of Series 2 in the hopes I could score one of the rare Hugh cards. My thinking was that since none of the early adopters seemed to find one then maybe he'd be available in later packs being sold now.
Sadly, Hugh continues to remain elusive for so many of us and I was unable to find one of his cards. It started off so promising when I opened my first pack and found an Ankha card. I wanted one of those and no one seemed to have extras. In the end, I was able to get 7 new cards bringing my Series 2 down to 4 cards.
It also means I ended up with extras. 1 of those extras can benefit Kairon. I have an extra 187 which you are still looking for according to your last updated list. You have an extra 106 Booker that I am looking for. Of course, this comes up right after we've both mailed cards to each other but if you want to set aside the 106 card while I set aside the 187, then we'll see what develops when Series 4 comes out and perhaps we can do some more additional trading then.
At this point, I'm done buying anymore packs until Series 4 and will just hope a trade can come along until I get desperate and just pick up the rest of eBay or something once the Series 4 trading has concluded.

It also means I need to modify my Dan Laser trade proposal as I acquired 2 cards I was asking for in my previous proposal.
This is now my current trade proposal for Dan Laser:
For your cards 105, 126, 190, 228, 235, 241, 244, 256, 259, 260 and 298, I will trade you my cards of 123, 128, 147, 158, 183, 191, 196, 214, 215, 237, 238, 239, 247, 261 and 292. That's 11 cards from you and 15 cards from me. One of those extra 2 is also a special card so you are sort of at a deficit in this trade but I'm willing to help out a friend or do it for potential futures on the Series 4 where maybe you can make up the difference then if it works out that way.
Hopefully Dan Laser will stop by this thread at some point and let me know if this proposal is doable before I end up acquiring all the cards I'm asking for.....

That's always the trick, right? I sometimes get too many trade discussions going at one time and end up having doubles (or more) come in to fill gaps. :)
Anyway, about to send 11 cards to Khushrenada, 2 (maybe more? he only asked for 2 last message but I think I have some others he might need) to Kairon, and ?? (could be anywhere from 0-13) to Laser Dan who needs to let me know which cards are still needed...
Post office trip has long been threatened, will probably materialize tomorrow.

Thanks for confirming!
And the good news: I think I'm just one card away from completing Series 1. (Yes, I'm a little bit slow.) If anyone has local friends trying to trade away 004 Sable, hook me up! ;)
Now to start shoring up Series 2 (well under way) and 3 (more gaps that cards at this point)... Oh my.

Jun. 10 is Series 4. So, just under a month. Can't say there's a lot I want from Series 4. So many special cards are repeating characters. Phineas, Celeste, Gulliver, Lucky, Erik make up some of the more desirable cards for me. In the end, Series 2 I'd say was the strongest batch with the greatest amount of characters I like or that interest me in it.
Hello hello I'm still alive! Yes that trade you mentioned (and this adjustment) sounds dandy! Thank you! It's just about time for Series 4, isn't it?

If you do, and if you don't mind setting them aside until the next wave hits, then I'll gladly trade something from series #4 or buy them direct.
(I'm also missing a ton of cards from series #3 - but no sense in even posting a list yet unless I buy more cards first. So I might be interested in some of your extras there too if you still have them.)

Sorry, I do not have any of those cards! I might pick up a couple packs of the older series, so if I get anything you need, I'll let you know.

To ejamer,
I received your cards in the mail. All arrived safely. Thanks for the shipment. In regards to the list you posted, I can provide you with cards 107, 158, 187, and 197. I'm also keeping an eye out for a 004 trade to see if I can help get you that last Series 1 card.

Great to hear the cards arrived safely!
I'm down to needing just 004, 162, and 197 to complete the first two sets! So excited! If you want to hold onto 197 for a bit, I'm sure we'll have a bigger trade again at some point in the not too distant future. Plus I need a ton of cards from series 3 still.
Not sure how much further I'm going with this collection. My nice binder holds 360 cards, so at some point I might cut bait once that fills up and not worry about having everything? Should be around for at least a bit of trading next release though - probably late trading, just like all the other times.

Quick update on the cards I'm still missing:
UPDATE: See this post (http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=48297.msg897650#msg897650).
So jazzed to be almost done with series 2 and 3, and to have all the series 4 cards I want on pre-order already (Thank you B&H Photo and your not putting a limit on the numbers of packs I can order!). I think I'll wait to see all the series 4 trades die down before I resort to EBay to fill my Series 2 and 3 holes.

Man, these last cards could be tough. We seem to need a lot of the same cards and share a lot of the same cards. Could be a series 2 situation where we are all looking for 102's and 178's. I got 6 packs on Friday and went a perfect 36 for 36. This inspired me to go out and buy 12 more packs only to end up with 70 out of 100. Curse you, blind packs! Maybe I should have stuck with buying them all from the same store as the 5 packs I later bought at Toys R Us proved pretty useless. Anyways, I'll post my list as well. In this post, I'm just going to stick with Series 4.

In the meantime, I'll start things off by throwing out a trade proposition.
Unclebob:
I supply: 330, 343, 360, 362, 377, 383, 386 and 398. You supply: 313, 326, 340, 348, 349, 372, 379, and 399.
That's an 8 for 8 trade except one of your 8 is a special and mine are all regular. I owe you an extra card. How about an extra 343 Anabelle to help with trades on your end? Or something else that would appeal to you.
For Kairon:
I supply: 187, 308, 315, 319, 371, 375, 390 and 394. You Supply: 106, 305, 311, 334, 345, and 359.
That's 8 from me and 6 from you. However, you would be supply an more special card than me so with 2 regular cards to equal that, it is only a deficit of 1 card that keeps you from equaling the trade and I'm fine with giving an extra card away if it helps you complete your collection.
That's my proposal for you both.

That's fine with me. No need to send an extra card or anything. I do need to send you a replacement though. :D
Kairon: I send you: 302, 308, 336, 371 You send me: 305, 316, 338, 359, 389
And you pick one other card from my extras to make up the deficit. And then I'm down to needing 18 US cards (and one promo card I want) to complete my set. :D

I noticed there is some overlap in my trades between the two of you Khush and UncleBob, plus I made a mistake, I don't have extra 345s (Naomi)! I meant to say 346 Peewee! I've corrected that original post. Also, I only have one extra of cards that you both asked for T-T I'm so sorry!
As a result, may I propose the following amended trades?
Assuming a special card is equivalent to two regular cards, this means you're giving me one extra card. We can go with the trade as is, or you can pick out two extra cards for me to send you out of my listed spares to make up the difference? How does that sound?

Hey Kairon, I've got an extra 119-Felicity. PM me if you want it.
Don't think I have anything else that people are looking for, but haven't collected many cards from series 3 and none from series 4 yet. (Not entirely sure if I'm going to though... but if I do, I'll mail out any extras here.)
How many more series of cards will the be? After having (essentially) the first two series done I'm trying to decide how much more time and effort I want to invest in this. The fact there is no meaningful use for the cards isn't very motivating, and I also have other hobbies competing for my spare cash.

I know. I started to debate carrying on after Series 1 but have gone for it. This is the end of the AC Card Series. There is no Series 5. Series 4 is as far as it goes.

Alright. I think I'll be good with this trade now as well. I wasn't sure about losing the 359 card in my initial trade proposal with Kairon but I believe I've got a local trade for it worked out now so UB can have it. Thus, I am willing to accept these trade terms.

Do people have extras they're trying to get rid of? I literally haven't seen a series 4 pack stocked locally, and am missing much of series 3 too. Don't have any cards that people need... but willing to offer cash if that interests anyone.
(If people aren't interested, that's also ok. I've completed the first two sets and feel pretty good about that. Anything from here on out is basically a bonus for me.) ;D

From the list you posted earlier, I still need these cards:
(You probably don't actually have all of those available due to other trades, but whatever you've got.)
The only questions would be pricing. Is $1 per card reasonable? Or maybe add an extra buck per special? That seemed to be a pretty common rate earlier, just let me know what you think is fair. :)

Sounds like a fair estimate. Although a couple of questions:
Do you have any idea what the average would look like without shipping included? I assume not a big difference, but I guess that depends on if you are buying lots of singles of multiple cards at a time. (I'd rather account for shipping separately, especially since it's going to Canada.)
Also curious about what the ratio/numbers are for special to non-special cards that you purchased. (In case my cards are reading: don't listen to that, you are all special to me!)
Straight up: Paying $1.82 USD per card for close to 50 cards would exceed my bankroll at the moment, although I'd likely still be interested in a delayed order.
With no eBay seller fees attached, I'd also probably try to negotiate for a slightly lower rate. ;D

No rush at all from my end.
From a collecting standpoint, if I don't get another card I'll be satisfied... but since they are bring Amiibo functionality into New Leaf I'll happily add as many as I can within reason. That's just such a great game, and being able to somehow visit my favorite villagers "on demand" would be a great feature.
Most of the purchases were with "free" shipping. :/
Gotcha. In Canada people seem to include shipping in the base price less often (and when shipping from the US into Canada many eBay sellers charge $12+ for shipping, which is utterly ridiculous).

Yes, both of those deals sound good, thank you! kairon, I'll send you some Bells through PayPal or something, to make up for the difference? Maybe I'll try to pick up a couple packs to see if I get anything you need.
I'm having troubles finding them locally here, too. It seems only EB and Toys R Us actually has them in store. Not that ordering online is that inconvenient, but some times you want them right away.

Glad to see you post! If you don't get a quick response, just wait until the next series of cards gets released - at that point, the usual suspects will surely show up again to trade and collect. In the lull between releases I'm not sure how active everyone is though.
PS - Be sure to send me your mailing address, so that I can ship Rasher and a few extra cards your way to help you get started! Happy collecting!

Title: Re: The Animal Crossing Amiibo Trading Card Trading Post
Post by: ejamer on October 02, 2016, 10:12:13 PM
Ooh! I'm really keen on 162 and 197 - those are the only two cards I'm missing from Set 2! A local trader backed out of a potential trade earlier, and eBay sellers from the US were charging $15+ for shipping per card, which killed my interest. Would be very excited to buy or trade for those cards if possible.
I'm also missing the cards listed below, and would be willing to buy if you are selling. But instead of hoarding all your doubles, see what Rygar is interested in too! The two mentioned above I'd be super excited about - the rest are all "nice but not necessary" since I'm still pretty far from completing either set and not expecting that to change at this point.

Mostly @ Rygar, but also to anyone else perusing who still needs cards: I've got the following extras available if you were interested in trading/buying any. Pretty flexible on value since they are all extras.

Cool beans! Sorry it took me so long to update my offerings guys!
As for trading/buying, I'm sure we can come to some sort of arrangement. I'm not really in this for profit, so in truth I'd be happy with just something to offset my time and trouble and shipping and stuff. Let's make a deal!
Oh, but is anyone going to go after that new set of 50 cards? 'Cuz if so... I'm totally willing to trade/buy lol.
I actually just FINISHED my collection of all four sets! YIPPEE! So everything from here until those next 50 cards is icing on the cake!

Awesome! :D Did you get all the special cards too? (Pack-ins with different games, or the Japanese exclusive ones?) I'm not hardcore enough to get everything - but do hope to keep filling some of the gaps.
I'd rather trade than just buy (because I think that's more fun and rewarding for everyone) but have concerns about the next set of 50 cards being available here - local stores hardly carried wave 3 or 4 of the existing cards and I rarely shop online. That's why my collecting ground to a halt mid-way through wave 3: I just couldn't find any packs to buy in the town where I live.
So with that in mind, unless there are other things you'd be interested in trading for, buying cards would probably be the best option. Do you want to wait and see how many rygar wants first? Otherwise I can just make an offer on the 31 cards I listed earlier. (Hint: My offer would probably use Uncle Bob's $1.82/card number listed earlier in this thread as an estimate for "fair value"...)

Please go ahead and make any transactions for the cards you need. My collection is so small that I don't have specific gets yet other than the particular characters I'm attached to from actual gameplay.
Don't worry about the next set ejamer. If you can't get them locally and I can, we can figure something out I'm sure.

Oh man, that's UncleBob level hardcore. I've just got a Shadow Mewtwo card in a spare binder spot, that Meli/Melo misprint from series 1, and that unopened triple card set from Amiibo Festival. I think that's as far as I'm able to go!

Kairon: What would be the sweet spot in the number of cards bought to make it worth your while to ship? I'm don't want to sink too much into this each transaction, but I would like to participate. I have your address from the Patreon post-cards. I could send you a check and you could send me a grab bag in return. I don't know what the etiquette is on here for discussing price, but I was thinking I'd send you $25 to cover the cards and shipping. You can PM what you think is a fair number of cards for that. I'll send you a list of what I have with the check. I don't care what you send back as long as Vladimir-132 is in the first batch :)
ejamer: I don't know if this would be fun for you, but one way I thought of gameifying purchase of the new cards (assuming you have a hard time finding them locally) would be for me to get them and then ship them to you. I'd open them to keep any duplicates, but pass on everything else. You could then send me an equivalent number of the earlier sets in return.

Rygar, these are my updating extras after trading with ejamer. I'll PM you to talk pricing, I'll try to make it cheep-cheep!

I'm not sure that's good value for you... maybe it would make more sense for you open packs and only send me your doubles? Or maybe I could trade back at a 2-1 value for any cards you find that I'm missing? Or you could send me a copy of the Wii U release of Darksiders when it's released for however many cards I have that you'd want. Open to just about any trade idea or offer, as long as it's a good deal both ways.
Duplicates don't benefit me by just sitting here - they'd be much better in the hands of another friend of the forums.
For reference, sorted my doubles and took out everything that Kairon is already offering (I think 27 cards). These are the doubles I have that aren't already listed above:
By combining cards from Kairon and me, you'd be close to finishing the first set.

Thanks for listing that out. I'm in no rush, I have more than enough new characters to try out when amiibo functionality is introduced, and I'll soon have the second of my two favorites, so I can wait to get something you need in exchange for your doubles. That will be more fun than just buying packs. That Darkmasters release sounds like a great idea.

Yay! The cards from Kairon arrived today - in crazy good packing too. In fact, he made me feel inadequate about my card packing. I vow to do better!
The timing was great though, since the recent Animal Crossing Direct has me kind of jazzed to finish off my collection (such as it is... not looking for a "real" finish, just getting it to a point I'm happy with).
Thanks very much!

Now that I'm hooked on the game again, I'm interested in jumping into the Amiibo card side of things. I'm wondering what the people here who have been into them for a while would suggest someone starting from scratch to go about things.

Hmmm... Are you trying to collect all the cards, only specific cards, or just get a bunch of cards to play with?
If you just want a good number of cards to play with and aren't too picky about specific characters, one idea might be buying a couple packs of welcome amiibo, then trading any extras of those with those of us here who have a whole bevy of extra older cards not doing us much good.

I'm not looking to collect all of them, I'd just like a nice selection of them to use with the game.I guess I'll try that way, get a few packs and work from there.

No word on an NA release.
I ordered the UK version from Game: http://www.game.co.uk/en/m/animal-crossing-new-leaf-sanrio-amiibo-cards-pack-1733776
Shipping sucked. :/
I also have a set of the Japanese versions coming from SUPER... I think. He said he got them and took my address, but never gave me a total or his PayPal address.
There are six amiibo cards and six art cards. The UK pack comes with all six amiibo cards and zero art cards. The Japanese packs come with, I believe, one random amiibo card and one random art card.

Thanks! I'm not worried about the art cards really, those aren't Amiibo so I think I can live without them. And thank goodness that it's the full collection in one guaranteed pack, none of this worrying about random cards and then the (fun, but worrisome) ques to trade up to a full collection afterwards!

Are we doing this, or what? :D
Pending the arrival of my Japanese or British packages, I'll be three short of the Series five set, and thus three short of having one of every amiibo (although I don't have the Monster Hunter ones yet... waiting for a US release, but I'm starting to get itchy and I'm probably going to end up importing them... grr...)
So, picked up a full case of the new cards (50 cards in the set, 10 packs per case with six cards per pack, so 60 cards total) - ended up with 47 of the set and 13 duplicates. Not bad at all - much better than the first four series. At least it seems that way. I suppose, if you did the math, I bought 18 packs in Series 2, 3, and 4 and I essentially bought the equivalent of 20 packs of Series 5 - so that might throw the numbers off a little... but I'll take it!
Here's my Needs: 2 Hopkins 14 Ketchup 35 Weber
And here's my Haves: 4 Piper 5 Paolo 12 Wade 16 Stu 18 Jacob 24 Murphy 27 Claude 31 Bea 34 Boots 39 Cashmere 44 Snooty 46 Dobie 47 Buzz

I was going to use a spare crappy EU binder I had, but I just really didn't like the way the cards looked in the binder (since they're rotated landscape and all). Figured I'd share the link.

So, finally remembered this was still a thing and went out and bought some packs. I think the problem is that these are 50 brand new characters so it's hard to get excited about them compared to the previous cards with your favorite villagers and AC characters. Kind of how like the Lottie Amiibo hasn't performed well and has to be sold at a deep discount from the original sell price because she is a brand new character that had just appeared in a game for the first time 1 month before her Amiibo was released. She was an unproven character with no fan support but Nintendo expected people to buy her anyways because she was part of the AC Amiibo line.
Anyways, mini-Amiibo rant aside, I did not do quite as well as UncleBob in the odds department. I also bought 60 cards but only got 40/50 characters so I am looking for 10 cards to finish the set. Here are my details:
(And sorry Unclebob. Of the 20 duplicates I've got, none of them are the 3 you are looking for.)
(That's right. Both UncleBob and I are looking for #35 - Weber. Here's hoping someone else is a Weber treasure trove of duplicates to help us both.)

Yikes! Welcome Amiibo could be a challenge! I actually only got 6 packs to start with, so later this week I'm going to order another 3 packs and see where that leaves me.
I think the problem is that these are 50 brand new characters so it's hard to get excited about them compared to the previous cards with your favorite villagers and AC characters.
I don't think that's actually true. I'm not sure if there aren't some new characters, but I'm looking at a Hornsby (http://animalcrossing.wikia.com/wiki/Hornsby) card right now and I remember this fellow pretty well.
Anyways, my only duplicates so far are:
*Snip*
But after I get more packs I'll come back and update this post.
Update: I finally found time to grab a couple more packs, updated list below:
Update 2: I grabbed four more packs! Got a bunch more doubles to trade!

Most of them are not new characters.
Many of them debuted in the N64/GCN/GCN+ game and have never been heard from again.

Yeah, that's right. When I saw Kairon's post, I remember hearing somewhere that these were older characters that hadn't appeared in a game for sometime. Maybe it was the Nintendo Direct for them. However, I'm talking about the characters like Crazy Redd, Blathers and Sable who have appeared in all the past games and are sort of mainstays. Even with the other AC cards, there were plenty of villagers I didn't recognize or know about. But at least there were always some of those main characters still sold with them. Even though these characters may have appeared in a game before, they're pretty much new characters to me.

Just ordered another four packs of Welcome Amiibo. DANG! They definitely didn't overstock this, was price-jacked on Amazon, and BestBuy doesn't have it anymore!
B&H Photo is my random back up store, and they had it backordered until March 10.
Finally found some in stock at Target's Website. I'll update my list when I get these in!

Anyways, I've updated my previous Welcome Amiibo Collection post (https://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=48297.msg909553#msg909553). I'm looking for only 7 more cards, and have extras of 27 more cards.
For instance, Khush, are you still looking for 37 - Leopold 45 - Olive 46 - Dobie ?
Oh, and as regards Mario Sports, how many of those cards exist exactly? Or is it just 6 Amiibo Cards sold in a complete set?

The cards I still need: (the ones crossed out are pending arrival of trades)
Series 1 77 Cherry 91 Muffy
Series 2 137 Cookie
Series 3 215 Isabelle 293 Rolf
Series 4 317 Goldie 336 Pierce 356 Pietro 366 Ribbot
Heh. Thanks alynaty but you misunderstood my message. I only meant for you to post your list in the hopes that others might be able to help you out with your needs where I couldn't and that posting in this thread would be easier for me to look up my list of duplicates and wants. But thanks for posting my want list again anyways.

Thanks for making a trade with me also since that will help me get a bit closer to completion. I am now down to 22 cards I have to find to complete the entire AC Amiibo set. Might just have to get to eBay to do that already but I'm still hopeful I can just get it done through online trading like this.
Also, I like the avatar! But then I'm more of a cat person than a dog person. And feel free to join in other parts of the forum as well if they interest you. You're more than welcome to post beyond the Card Trading thread if you want to.

Once I get all the cards in the mail I will update my list of available cards. I will be getting in some of the hard to find cards that just may help Khushrenada out.
I have thought about the Mario Sports amiibo cards, but my girls are not interested in them so I will not be collecting them. I did read the following in a different forum "It has been reported that some Mario Sports Superstars amiibo cards (mostly Horse Racing cards, apparently) are defective and do not scan."[/size] (just a little heads up). Yeah, that was UncleBob creating a thread about the issue in Handheld discussion. I'm still not sure how widespread the problem is though since there don't seem to be a lot of reports from other sites or news about this being a major issue. That said, I, personally, didn't have any plans to get into that Amiibo card collection. Animal Crossing is the only thing that has really gotten me into the Amiibo line, so far, and I have no interest in the Mario Sports collection. At least with the Animal Crossing Amiibo, I know I'll get a little bit of use out of them however limited and its nice just to see and look at all the villagers too but I don't see myself getting much use out of those sports cards if I were to buy them.

Awww nice. Trouble maker cats are some of the best cats because they always keep things interesting. They're often the more curious cats as well and I think that's why I like the pic. Your Duke seems to have a curious-and-about-to-investigate look in it.

Thanks for being so awesome and welcoming to me. I greatly appreciate it.
You're welcome. I know our site has a lot of long time members who are familiar with one another so when someone is new and starts posting they can feel like they are intruding or nervous about being included in the site discussions. At least, that's what some new posters have expressed before so I think it always helps to let new ones know that they are indeed welcome to join and post anywhere and don't have to think they are an outsider.

Oh wow - there are still (somewhat recently) people trading? I had finished the first two sets then kind of accepted that my collection wasn't going much further.
Glad to hear that you finished your collection, alynaty! If you still have the doubles listed below and would be interested in selling, let me know?
Series 3 201 Rover 225 Ken 251 Chester 259 Stinky 280 Victoria
Series 4 314 Gulliver 319 Pinky 328 Boone 332 Shep 335 Dotty 343 Anabelle 344 Rudy 354 Walt 360 Rod 379 Nibbles 391 Gayle
I am - but "searching" might be too strong. More like "passively hoping they appear in my lap one day". The full list of cards I'm missing is pretty big, so I'm not super motivated to track them down:
If anyone has extras from that list that they want to sell or trade, contact me via private message (I'm not on the forums as much right now, so might miss posts in the thread). I'll pay reasonable prices or trade from my list of extras.
Extras (Series 4) 303, 304 (see below), 365, 373, 393
@Khushrenada: The only extra I have that you are looking for is: 304 Phineas. I'd be happy to send it your way if you PM me your mailing address. It could be in exchange for Ken and/or Dotty, or you could just accept it as a gift. I'm good either way.

Khushrenada, I have several cards set aside for you. Please forgive me as they are not in order and I am too tired to put them in order.
381 Gloria, 378 Barold, 222 Miranda, 178 Hugh, wa46 Dobie, 400 Robin, 366 Ribbot, 337 Queenie & 304 Phineas. I should have Apple arriving in the mail. I am still working on the others, but focusing on Lolly. She is a hard one to get. I was fortunate to get her for myself in one of the packs I purchased. Update: 324 Graham, 329 Broffina & 374 Tank arrived over the weekend, but were just opened.
ejammer, I need to update my list on here as to what all I have at this time. I will have my daughter help me tomorrow to update the list along with seeing what cards I have you listed. The above list has been updated, but I have not checked to see what I have you need.

Sounds great to me - I'd be thrilled with any trades, or to straight out buy cards that I'm missing. ;D
But are there more than 16 you/she wants from my extras? I'm not going to do anything with them, so would be happy to send more cards your way if I have anything that would be useful. All you would need to do is ask.
I'll check this forum tomorrow, and if all looks good will send you my mailing address via PM.

ejammer,
How generious of you! Would you be willing to also send 006 Resetti, 100 Walker, 126 Coach, 195 Hamphrey & 218 Lily? I will try my best to find the rest of the cards you still need. :)

Hugh? HUGH?!? I've waited so long for a trade to find someone with an extra Hugh! Yes, please! I'd love to finally complete Series 2! And Phineas is icing on the cake! I was ready to trade ejamer for it but I was waiting to see if there'd be anyone else jumping back into the trade game before I arranged a trade. Not sure what you'd like for them. I sent you a list of my extras before so that list is still accurate minus the cards I traded you last time. Or I can write you a cheque for the cards if you don't want more extra. Let me know how you wish to proceed there.

Sure, I can send those cards as well. I wouldn't even blink if you asked for another 4 or 5 cards - so don't hesitate to ask if any of them would be useful for you (either to trade, or have doubles of, or whatever).

Khushrenada - I have all the animal crossing cards you need except for Lolly and Genji. I traded for them this weekend so I should have them soon. I do not have any of the wa cards for you except for Dobie.
ejamer - I have added 319 Pinky & 222 Miranda to the cards I am mailing out tomorrow.

Wow! That's incredible. You are a real wheeler and dealer. You've done a lot to help me out already so no worries on the cards you haven't been able to find. At this point, I might just go to eBay finally and buy those last few cards since I'm so close to finishing the collection now and it will just be a small amount I would need to buy.
When you want to make the trade/sale of this, tell me your plan and we can get this done.

Khushrenada,
Do you still need Genji, Lolly, Spike and Snooty or did you purchase them off of ebay?

I do still need them. I haven't purchased anything off eBay. Thank you for posting. That reminds me I need to send you my list of extras. I will do that when I get home from work today. Sorry on the delay.

Oh wow, Alynaty, the cards you sent arrived today - but you sent way too many! Thanks so much for your kindness. Edit: Oh my... that's almost the entire set! Thank you thank you thank you! ;D
What else are you still looking for? There have been some active traders here recently, and it's possible that I could track down a few extra cards for you.

Wow, it's been over a year that I've just let this sit around.
Well, I say it's time I finally complete my collection. But before I just get the remaining cards I need, let me see if there are still any people out there with extras who are still looking to trade.
What I'm still in the market for:
Series 3 222 Miranda
Series 4 304 Phineas 329 Broffina 333 Lolly 337 Queenie 359 Apple 374 Tank 378 Barold 381 Gloria 400 Robin
If Kairon actually still has his extras around, I would like to acquire these two if we can work out a deal:
WA 45 Olive 46 Dobie
Anybody else out there?

Was able to make a local trade and finally get that darn 178 Hugh card completing my Series 2. That took a long time. Now I just need 222 in order to complete Series 3. Getting there. 19 cards left.

Well, just made a trade for 222 Miranda, 359 Apple, 374 Tank and 378 Barold. That completes all of Series 3 and Series 4 for me at long last. I actually did make one eBay purchase a few months back to get 304 Phineas, 329 Broffina, 337 Queenie, and 381 Gloria. I really wanted Phineas and could get the others in a group on the same shipment for $8.75. So, 2 bucks a card meant I was willing to do that.
That just leaves the Welcome Amiibo series and these 3:
5 Paolo 38 Spike 43 Sprocket
I'd just buy them off eBay except sellers want like $25 and up for these cards plus shipping. Ugh. I'm not paying that much for those cards. Hopefully, somehow and someway a trade can happen or I can find them at a reasonable price on eBay. (Or in a trade with a member here still.) In the end, I'm pretty happy to have at least wrapped up the original AC card Amiibo series. Can't wait to see these Amiibo cards not supported for the upcoming AC Switch game! :P

Hello, I am new to animal crossing amiibo cards and was wondering if there was a forum or group I could join where anyone could give away their extras. I haven't had much luck finding the cards in store and I'm not able to purchase online due to financial issues. I really love animal crossing though and I really want some cards so that I can always have 10 villagers in my town. Sorry for any inconvience and thank you for reading.

So, I've been down to just needing two Welcome Amiibo cards:
5 Paolo 38 Spike
for some time now. I've had an ad up in my area in hopes of finding someone eventually to trade with since people want like $30 for these cards on eBay. Recently, in the past three weeks, I've suddenly had like 7 people contact me wanting to buy my extras. I've denied the requests so far until I can get the last two I need which may require a trade of some of the extras. Of course, I could try selling the Welcome Amiibo extras for $30 each and then funnel that over to buy the last couple I need but I'm not sure that would work since people aren't exactly buying up the extras off eBay at those prices anyways. Maybe if I bump this thread again then it will have a larger range than my area to possibly hook me up to make these final trades.
Always meant to get back to New Leaf once I finished my collection but then it took so long and the whole thing went by the wayside. But with Amiibo cards proving to have some value in the new AC game, suddenly people are interested in them again so maybe I can finally finish this mission I let myself get sidetracked on.

Woo! Just made another trade and got 05 Paolo.
That means that Welcome Amiibo 38 Spike will be the last card/villager I need to complete the set. How long until he finally falls into my clutches?

Lol. Yep, because I had to do it the hard way and slack off on these for awhile when I could have and should have just bought them off eBay a couple years ago when prices were low and quantities much more readily available.

Hopped on EBay out of curiosity lately and it looks like if you're not really particular about which amiibo card you get they cost anywhere between $2-$4 each. It'd probably be too much stress hullabaloo to try to sell my duplicates on the open market like that, I'd rather just keep them for now.

To be honest I don't know much about card valuation as I've always just been a buyer. The furthest I've ever gotten is just to check EBay and see what people there think the market can bare for a particular card.
For example, I checked a couple top sponsored search results on EBay and a "single" specific North American card seems to go for: Lottie 017 - $4-6 USD Phil 057 - $9-20 USD Eunice 081 - $7-20 USD
GOOD GRIEF!!! I don't know why Phil and Eunice can command such a high price on EBay, are they super popular amongst people who want to show off islands or something?
Of course, these are EBay "Buy Now" prices, so I don't know how real they are (maybe the real price is lower and all those are sold out, or maybe EBay didn't want to show me the lowest prices?).
Finally, you've got the JPN version of the cards. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the game itself doesn't care it's the JPN version, Amiibo Cards are region free so functionally i's the same. If people are buying to have a complete NA collection instead of just to play the game with that'll probably put them off and drive the price down?
On top of that I honestly don't know how I'd even begin to sell the cards I DO have if I did decide to try that.

I learned how to make my own amiibo cards. Easy enough if you have an Android phone with NFC. I bought some of the blsank NFC stickers and write to them and they work just fine so far.
First of all, I still need #39 Spike Welcome Amiibo to complete the previous Amiibo cards. Then there's the fact that I didn't realize these had released until I started seeing people trying to sell packs at a high price on the used market. Then it turns out retailers would only let you buy three packs at the most which is redonkulous since the first Amiibo trading cards never had that restriction. How are you supposed to get all the cards with that in place?!? :P >:( Then I saw this morning that Best Buy was showing stock online saying ready to ship but despite clicking the link and refreshing the add-to-cart button would never be allowed and now I see they show as being out of stock again. This whole thing has been terrible and a real kick in the groin!! :'( >:(

I got two packs from Target the morning they opened. A third from Amazon, a fourth from a co-worker who ordered me one from Amazon, two more from Nintendo's webstore.... then 20 more packs when I lucked into Target getting a restock. Through a few trades and a couple of eBay purchases...
