Put together a list and I'll be happy to update the calendar.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I suspect it will be down to <$20 when all is said and done; which is why I'm in no great hurry to get it. I know this is why 3rd parties hate the Nintendo audience, but what can I say? People like me are cheapskates.

Thing is, I might have bought it at launch and then never got around till playing it till it was in the bargain bin anyway. might as well wait till then and save $30 so spend on something else.

That's the way I look at it too. I have a rather large queue of games, so for me to pay full price to get a game at launch and then have it sit and collect dust before I even open it makes no sense when during that time the price of that game will plummet.

Walmart.com:  Super Mario Galaxy 2 w/ Bonus $20 Walmart.com eGift Card for$49.96

I doubt you're gonna find a better deal than this.  You know you're gonna buy the game, so you might as well save some cash doing it.

Just ordered mine.  I should point out that you have to pay $20 now because they send you the eGift card immediately, but when they ship you Mario Galaxy 2 they just charge you $30 plus tax (on just the $30, oddly enough) and any shipping costs (free, if you choose ship-to-store).

I had to jump on that, but it's going to suck to have to wait an extra week for the game because of shipping.

If you really need the game on the day it's available buy it from a store, keep the receipt and then return your Walmart.com copy to the other store when it arrives.

Considering the fact that I haven't gotten all 120 stars in Galaxy 1 yet and I doubt I'll have done that in the next three months, it's probably not a huge deal to get it a little bit late.

It wasn't available for ship-to-store for me, and I was wondering why the tax was only half of what I was expecting to pay.

$20 video games credit when you purchase Super Mario Galaxy at Amazon.com

Looks like Amazon has matched Walmart.com's amazing offer from a few days ago.  If You didn't already preorder at Walmart here's another option!

Now I wish I had waited. I would rather use Amazon (tax free & free shipping) than Walmart. I wonder if it's too late to cancel that $20 GC and preorder from Walmart.

Give it a shot.  Let me know if it works because I'll probably do the same.

Amazon doesn't charge you until they ship the item, so there's no harm in preordering now.  You can always cancel before the game ships without penalty.

Well, I s'pose I mean I shouldn't pre-order. I'll probably end up forgetting about it like I have before, and that could cause some problems. I'd rather wait until a week or two before launch to ensure there won't be an issue.

Damn. For once I wish I lived up North. Have five games you can give up?  If so that gets you a free DSi XL.

There's a bunch of Wii hunting games for the DoTD on Amazon today. They look like they're pretty cheap, but they come bundled with a hunting rifle peripheral. It might be worth it to snag one of these just to have the gun to use in other games.

So I've been looking for a Wavebird, so I can finally finish Sunshine, WaveRace, and Wind Waker (I missed the GCN era), and as most of you know, they're around $100 online.  I've tried a couple third party controllers and they both went to hell.  So, I stopped in a store call Play n Trade somewhat close to me, and found a used Wavebird, in good condition, for $32.  Not too bad.   I would highly recommend this store for anyone looking for accessories for all systems back to the NES.  They're game prices are just ok, but picking up systems and accessories at this place gets you some deals.  Check em out if they're in your area, here's the storefinder:
