Are your skills up to snuff for the latest Famicast?

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/famicast/37976/episode-37-get-good

It’s that time of the month again. That’s right! Time for another edition of your family friendly (?) Famicast! The Famicrew is down a man as Matt is recently recovering from a trip to the US, but Danny and Ty man the fort to bring you the latest from Japan!

New business features some hot talk about the newly released 2013 Nintendo Game Seminar games from Danny. The game focused on here is Poppo Hunter, dubbed a new “hunting” game by Tezuka. The game has players trying to help the protagonist find a pigeon girlfriend. It’s a bit strange, so be sure to tune in to catch all the details and also check out our videos of the games here! Ty and Danny have also been playing quite a bit of Mario Kart 8 on Wii U and have a lot to say about it. Listen to find out what they like and dislike about this hot new entry into the series! To round it out, we get a deluge about fighting games, State of Decay and much more!

The second half of the show focuses on the latest news from Japan, including some talk about the start of the DS Virtual Console in Japan, 2014 Nintendo Game Seminar registration, Capcom and a few other interesting tidbits. The guys also talk briefly about their thoughts on the madness that was E3 2014, discussing some of the games and announcements that grabbed them.

As always, if you have any questions, comments, complaints or anything like that, feel free to hit us up on in the Talkback thread below, tweet at us at @thefamicast, send an email to famicast@nintendoworldreport.com or visit the Questions for the NWR Japan Crew forum thread. Hone your skills and get ready for the show! Famiast a go-go, baby!

Are you all 16 year old valley girls from 1988 California or something.
I mean ****, I honestly could not continue listening to the podcast, I pushed stop and deleted it.

Really, go back and listen and count the number of times you said the word 'like'.
Just wow, come on guys, get it together.

Well, there are two things that I can take responsibility for this episode then. @superfamicom, thanks for the feedback, dude. I'll try to make sure I/we cut back on that in editing or just when we're recording. I'll git gud or something, hopefully. I was going to change the spelling of the episode to be correct, but I'll leave it as a symbol for my failure.  :P:

I really hope those of you in the States are enjoying/have enjoyed your holiday weekend. For those of you wondering what music is put in between each segment, I have them all listed below. Some of them might be recognizable. I hope you guys enjoy the episode, and as always, leave any comments, criticisms or what have you here or directly to me on Twitter (@dannybiv or @thefamicast).

1 - Super Mario Kart - Hip Hop beat (feat. AwWayZ) - Young Choppa
2 - Metroid Prime (Dubstep Remix) - Maklibek
3 - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 - The Manhattan Project - Tower
4 - Super Mario Bros. 3 - Water Land Free Style Beat - Young Choppa

I thought that was just what you do in Japan on a nice Tuesday night... I'm confused now.

Good podcast. I want to point out though that Ed Boon has said that the "X" in "Mortal Kombat X" is pronounced as the letter X, not the Roman numeral (so it's not pronounced Mortal Kombat Ten, it's Mortal Kombat X).

That's interesting. What Ed Boon wants and what Ed Boon gets may be two different things, though. The last one was called "Mortal Kombat 9" by everyone and not "Mortal Kombat" as it was titled, and I'm going to bet that everyone will call this one 10, because, well, it's the one title that actually makes sense.

Or maybe I'll call it Mortal Kombat Xrd
