Revolution has been used for so long now, I think Nintendo might be smart to keep it. Especially since the Time magazine article. However, my guess is Nintendo will still change it.
My votes:
Revolution - Yes. It may be hard to find on internet searches, but I just don't think most consumers stop at Wikipedia before buying a new game system. Besides, the name has personality
Revo - No. Seems a little cheesy; Roomba and Tivo get away with it, but their biggest market isn't 12-25 year-old males.
Rev - Yes. it allows Nintendo to keep some of the promotional momentum going, and doesn't sound as cheesy as Revo (though I think it's still a little cheesy).
NE5 - No. Too Xtreme.
NES, NES 5, Nintendo 5, etc. - Yes. I think Nintendo is sitting on a very popular and well-loved brand with the NES, not to mention its own name. Sony has Playstation, MS has Xbox, why not use NES or Nintendo? Plus, as DS, PSP, and a million boring car names have proven, people like names made up of letters and numbers.
