Lets just face it, this is Nintendo, anything remotely close to them is cloudy and unsure. They like to throw stuff out at random spurts when noone sees it coming.

LoL i dont get you guys, when the man writes these articles, you are the first to come down on him and talk about how he shouldnt even be doing the ds page.  Yet he puts his "pure speculation" on what he thinks will be online, and everyone starts running around saying he must know something about it and how sure he sounded.  On top of that its not even new news, these rumors have been around forever.  Lets just face it, this is Nintendo, anything remotely close to them is cloudy and unsure.  They like to throw stuff out at random spurts when noone sees it coming.  We will just have to remain calm and wait paitently til they slip somethin out to the media, til then we wait and wait and wait <,<...........

Im not bashing the system, i for one will buy the system, i dont care what people think.  I just think by destroying a PSP with a metal bat is absolutely retarded and wasting money........(In the video they reminded me of a cross between japanese nintendo fanboys meet the american television show jackass) how sad

Im a huge Nintendo fan but I can't find a problem with the PSP as of yet.  Ive always bought a nintendo system before the sony ( 64 before the playstation, gamecube before the ps2, and ds before the psp ) I dont think by dissing sony is making the ds any better.  Lets not sink low to insult the psp because all the nintendo haters insult us.  Oh and come on

the graphics aren't as nice looking as I expected after what I'd heard.
unless u heard something else everyone has said that it produces watered down ps2 graphics, in other words almost but not exactly ps2 graphics.  And for the early games they look terrific to me.  I thought everyone here has defended the DS saying its not the graphics that make the game and that graphics will continue to get better as the years come.  Then why even bother bashing on the PSP's graphics when its almost 1.5 x's better than the DS's.  And I do love the Psp's style of hardware, its sexy design makes me like it as much as i love nintendos ds's design.  The PSp has analog nub, but doesnt have a clamshell design to protect that huge screen.

Im still gonna and always be a huge ass nintendo fanboy, but lets not bash other companies unless we have valid reasons.

Nintendo Gaming / should we worry now?
« on: January 10, 2005, 07:34:34 PM »
I dont know how many of you guys watch g4 or even get it in your television programming, but i do.  And to those who watch it probably know of the show called Screensavers, a quirky news show that only covers  electronic related news.  Well today they announced a "rumor" that the American PSP price is going to be 150.00 O_o............  If this is true then there is no reason for the DS to have even a running start, the american public will say,  "do i want a hyped up mini n64 with no video or mp3 output or a ultimate machine?"  I bet you they would go with the PSP despite the short battery life or the fact that they have to buy a memory stick, heck now I think I'll go buy one for that price.  No I am not abandonning Nintendo I have already the DS, but I am not impressed with the slow trickle of lackluster games. ( and no i dont even count mario cart a must have game)  They keep on saying they have over 120 games in development and they are giving me the crap of the crop.  Warioware and Yoshi is the only games people are looking forward to, and thats nintendo fans,  what about the gamers who bought the ds for non mario games.  I love mario and all but I am getting fed up of over using old nintendo franchises that arent even being updated.  How long must I play rehashed ports.  Are you seriously telling me that Nintendo couldnt make a new mario platforming game.  And please dont tell me that they are with the DS mario coming out, because seriously thats not what i wanted, i just wanted a brand new 2-d mario expierience.  Mario aside though, no games are coming out to even excite me, I am waiting for Goemon at least.  PSP does have the graphics of the Ps2 and yes if they wanted to they probably could of made it for the PS2 but hey its still on the go and to me, that is a plus.  I just feel about this overall in the end, Nintendo was given a head start, and to me they didnt suceed all that much, yes they are way ahead in sales, but even if they had 10 million people it is not the whole handheld market, and its not that hard for numbers to switch around.  Nintendo should of put some killer titles out or waited for a better launch, they've had enough time to release a crappy launch but they could of fixed it by now with some kick ass titles.  I work at a gaming store and mario 64 ds is the only game selling!!!!  This is how nintendo has been, and im growing tired of their ways, i am starting to  buy their systems just for their franchises.  I have a strong feeling Revolution will be just the same way.

Im still happy i bought my Ds but i am becoming increasingly really pissed at nintendo,

how would a 2-d zelda use 2 screens? well i thought since, in zelda 4 swords for the gamecube a gameboy was necessary to show you where you were when you left the main screen, couldnt the second screen be used to show where you were.  ( in a house or a hole )  Or they can just do what bomberman is doing and just make the field of view stretch over two screens, because if you think about it bomberman is similar to zelda with its over head view.

A third party movie, music, .txt file AND NES rom (only in ver. 2) player, called GBA Movie Player, already exists

does anyone else have the gba movie player, i have the first one and i bought high memory cards for it being so excited that i could use all the video files i had on my pc on the go, it worked nicely for like music videos and short video game fmvs, biut when i did movie files or even an episode of spongebob (15 mins long) the audio was so far off from being in sync, that there was no way to enjoy the movie period.  I know the left and right buttons delayed the picture/sound, but that never even helped the case, it just seemed that the video was running fast enough and couldnt keep up with the audio.  I was so depressed with that, its been collecting dust since then.  Does anyone know if ver. 2 fixed this problem, or was it my fault or am i doomed to have this forever?  And there was no option for sound quality for the mp3s either, it majorly sucked and the sound quality of my mp3s became horrible, mp3s are so supposed to be digitally clean cut not noisy raspy crappy ringtone sounding.

oh well thats my problem, maybe nintendos answer is better

You people are ridiculous. Have you ever considered that perhaps you are a little bias towards the DS?

Well we are on a Nintendo fan based site, where as Ign is supposed to be all coverage for all systems........Of course your going to have a nintendo biased fan group on a nintendo fan site, I would hope that the sony maniacs are biased on their fan based sites.......

I dunno thats just me and how i take it

Nintendo Gaming / does innovative mean wreckless design?
« on: December 05, 2004, 05:59:36 PM »
Recently it's been brought up to my attention that the DS is getting hit with cuts and insults because the games out for it do not all use all of the new innovative features assigned to the system.  Does that mean everyone wants a game that uses the touch screen, the wifi, one cart download, mic, etc etc?  IF so does that also mean developers are going to have to force themselves to add a feature in the gameplay that uses the mic or some other innovative feature? Personally, i dont want all of the features to be forced into a game, and if a game doesnt use any of them at all, but decides to use the DS's ,multiple screens, better graphics engine, and better sound, that the gameboy advance cant offer why not let them do it?  There are develpoers probably that have ideas for games but know that it could not be achieved on the gameboy so they move to the DS to accomplish it, is that so bad? Or to have a game developed for the DS, must it have innovative features built into the game?

I dunno just a thought

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Control on the Nintendo DS
« on: November 21, 2004, 04:56:09 PM »
ok peeps ive had the ds since the midnight launch and i think im ready to post my impressions of control on the ds:

1. Mario 64 ds:

call me crazy but i hate the analog touch screen, i dont know how you people do it, i dont mind the kind of akward d pad settings.  My only grudge is that you have to hold down a button to run, if otherwise you walk.  They really should of thought this out, in my opinion they should of made you hold down a button to walk across a narrow passageway, and let running be a default.

2.  Metroid Demo:

Lol now to be completely opposite, i loved using the touchscreen with the thumb nub on this game, to me it feels more appropriate and easier to control.

Nintendo Gaming / sad ds demos at my store why so late
« on: November 18, 2004, 06:36:01 PM »
i work at toys r us and for a week or so everyone on the forum has been talking about the ds demo kit every game store has been getting.  Well i just got the news with us..........WEVE HAD OUR FREAKIN DEMO UNIT FOR A WHOLE WEEK AND WE ARENT PUTTING IT UP UNTIL SATURDAY THE 20TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ::sigh:: how are we supposed to create hype when there is little to none advertising and general toy stores like ours put out demo units the day b4 launch..........

BTW i went to 2 gamestops last weekend and not one had a unit out.  I thought with all this "gamestop has the demo out and running" thing, all of them would have it, but i guess not ::sigh:: i guess i will just have to wait til the day b4 launch til i get to try the ds.

Nintendo Gaming / SSB DS and Zelda DS
« on: November 08, 2004, 10:57:35 PM »
Just thought id bring up that we could have a potential super smash game online on the ds,  while some may disagree that its not true multiplayer because people wouldnt be in the same room, I believe it could work.  People like me have Xbox friends who never want to go and play anything on a nintendo console ;_; and if i do get some kind of Super smash game on the ds i would like to have some way to play multiplayer with someone regardless if they are in the room or not, what do you guys think?

My second topic is since the Ds is kinda touching back to the n64 era and we got our first 3d zelda series there.  Do you think we will get a 3d zelda and if we do, do you guys think it will be  a port or a totally new zelda game?
