I was looking forward to mine a bit too much I think. The real thing couldn't live up to the hype, but it was definitely fun.
We had three separate events. We were at a bar on the river Friday night, just hanging out, having drinks. There was the formal dinner Saturday night at a country club, and then a picnic at the park Sunday afternoon - where everyone's children matched or outnumbered us adults.
I hung out with friends at church more than anyone in my class back then, so I'm pretty sure I talked to people there more than I ever did in high school. Some of the people I connected with most were actually friends I had spent more time with in elementary school. Most of the cliques and whatnot had pretty much faded away and I talked to a lot of people that used to get most of their entertainment from picking on me. Most of the people I shared classes with back then didn't even show up or only came to the night at the bar instead of the dinner.
