possible to use an xbox controller on GC?

I've been looking for these everywhere and no luck. All I've found so far is ps2 to gamecube ps2 to X-box.
I was wondering if anyone has happened to come accross an x-box to gamecube controller adapter.
If so, please let me know

I dont think they have these. I was looking a while back for a GCN to XBox adapter you I could use my Nintendo controller on XBox. The GCN is my favorite controller by far.

heh.. good luck making a gamecube run usb, but if you do find out how to make it work, please post.. youd be in for a lot of crap to make it all work out.. btw, if you didnt already know, the ports in the front of an xbox are standard usb (trust microsoft to design a game system) with a yellow wire added supposedly to tell the xbox what kind of controller is plugged in (eg. standard control, lightgun, dvd remote etc.).
