Would you play [Name of game] [Next increment in series]?
« on: August 22, 2007, 09:37:42 PM »
Basically this is a discussion about games that if they had a sequel, would you play them?

For me I ask, would you play Aiden Chronicles 2? Originally for N64.

I would, it was detailed and the battle system was fun, I loved leveling up my various stats.

Hopefully we can make this interesting...

I never played the original, but I'd give it a go...

I'd play a Quest 64 2 actually, now that you mention it...

The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Sequels I would play:

Kirby's Dream Course 2
TROG 2 [4 Player action MUST]
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade 3 (Must be same style game with and no polygons.)
Wii Sports 2
Red Steel 2
Geist 2
Mega Man 9  (Must not be of the X variety but with the REAL Mega Man)
Wave Race 3
1080 3
Wario's Woods 2 (A WiiWare title would be great.)
Wario Ware Smooth Moves 2

Fixed.  I never got to play the original Wave Race on GB, but I thought it looked fun in Nintendo Power and always wanted to.

I'd like to play more Misadventures of Tron Bonne, and for that matter Mega Man Legends.

Now I never beat Quest 64, but for some reason there was something about it I didn't like.  But their battle systems are pretty familiar.

Mystical Ninja 2? Yes!

I would play all of those, but some of the interesting ones to discuss:
TMNT Arcade 3, absolutely when I was a kid, side scrolling beat-em ups were the best.  TMNT and Double Dragon FTW.
Red Steel 2, ya I would play that for sure, totally hopin' they can fix everything that sucked in the first one.  I enjoyed that one.
Geist 2, make it compete with Bioshock :p
1080 3, Wii Fit board anyone?

Earthbound 2 (JERK NINTENDO)
Luigi's Mansion 2 (You can suck it if you didn't like this game)
Loom 2/3 (Originally denoted as "The Forge" and "The Fold")
Full Throttle 2
Grim Fandango 2
Day of the Tentacle 2: TAKE ON THE WORLD

There's probably more.  I'll think about it.

Saturday Night Slam Masters 2.  Technically they released a sequel but it has just a fighting game and had no real wrestling to it... and it sucked.  Slam Masters is awesome but kind of limiting with only two match types (plus death match in the Genesis version which has no team battle royale).  I'd like a huge assortment of match types like royal rumbles and cage matchs and even a simple tag team match would be nice.  New characters would add to it but I don't even necessarily need that.  It could technically just be an expanded port of the same game.  There's just so much potential to add to it.

I NEVER want to see something like A Link to the Past 2.  A Link to the Past 2 is Link's Awakening.  It's all part of the same series.  Super Mario Bros 4 is Super Mario World.  I'll play the next game in the Zelda or Mario series but I can't stand any of this "true sequel" crap.

DAaaMan64:

You mean somebody else remembers Trog besides me.  I loved that game, and would do anything for a sequel...ok not anything, but still.

As for Luigi's Mansion I can't believe I forgot that.

And as for Link to the Past sequels, we already got those.

Lol that would be pretty sweet if they made a burger time 2.

They need to bring back the Vigilante 8 and Cel Damage genre.  I would be totally ready for Cel Damage 2.  Game rocks my face.

There are already tons of games in the Goemon series.  It's just that only, like, 3 or 4 have made it out of Japan. ):
