All right, I get the feeling that he's the last character we see before the game is released. Take a look at the character tables. They look pretty with 12 in both the newcomer and veteran spaces.

Does this shatter the theories that there will be only 10 new franchises in Brawl? I remember reading that once icon 19 was unveiled that was going to be it for the new franchises. Yet with DS and Pikmin that makes it 12 new franchises.

I wonder if there is a slim chance that you will pluck a Bulbmin instead of a regular Pikmin... or perhaps the Bulbmin are part of Olimar's Final Smash... or perhaps Louie is part of the Final Smash...

I feel this update has redeemed Sakurai.

I feel this update has redeemed Sakurai.

He doesn't get redeemed until Mega Man is revealed, and if that means the next Smash Brothers. So be it!

I just noticed this. On the Japanese page the Pikmin music entry has a link to the "My Music" update. Yet the English version doesn't have it.

Could it be that there's no Pikmin stage and the track is just one of the multiple song selections?

Sakurai talks about "Ai no Uta" and "Tane no Uta" (the Japanese theme songs for the Pikmin games) and says you can select them in My Music...So it's not all that surprising that it wasn't mentioned outside the Japanese page...

From what I gather the Japanese site mentions that the two songs (Ai No Uta and Tane No Uta) used for the Pikmin commercials in Japan are also going to be in Brawl.
