The last two years I passed on the physical Club Nintendo platinum rewards and got Virtual Console games. So I'm pretty okay with this direction they're going in. Sure the selection could be way better, but I'm not going to complain about free Game and Wario.

I like the GBA library better than the DS library. GBA has the better Metroid, Castlevania, Zelda, Mario and Luigi, Advance Wars, and Wario Ware games. Also I just realized the DS is home to my least favorite Mario, Zelda, and Metroid games of their entire respective franchises. I should also note I never played an RPG outside of Mario and Luigi on either system.

I love every EAD game but I am ready for them to do something new. Hopefully they at least push Mario in a new direction. Hell I'd be thrilled if they went back to the Super Mario 64/Sunshine style of Mario.

I got my Wii U through this deal (it has been going on a couple weeks now) and I DID get the club Nintendo coins.  So there's that. Overall I'm really pleased with everything, in regards to this being refurbished. You could have told me it was brand new and I would have believed you. The only thing you don't get is the gamepad stand.

If you're like me and were waiting for the Wii U to hit $200, I'd highly recommend pulling the trigger on this.

I am shocked, SHOCKED, that there's more than three games lined up for this. If I wasn't beyond cynical about all future treatment of the Virtual Console, I'd almost have hope that this is a good sign that we'll see steady releases of GBA games.

Really, I'll consider this a success if they put out Zero Mission. Oh and they should put these on 3DS where they logically belong.

Nothing frustrates me more with Nintendo than their continued misuse of the virtual console. This should be the easiest of slam dunks and Nintendo keeps double dribbling. How the HELL was this a higher priority than putting up DS games for download on 3DS? That has to be easier and third parties might be interested in putting their games up on that service because the 3DS has an install base. Blows my mind. And when is this going to happen even? How long ago was the announcement that GBA games, another platform that makes infinitely more sense on 3DS, were coming to the Wii U? A year ago? I'm calling bullshit, Nintendo.

I think James' complaints have merit. I don't agree with any of them, but I get it. I also think, and I'm sure James would agree, that it is incredibly important to the continued longevity of the Zelda franchise that they keep mixing things up and trying new things with these games. Of course some experiments are going to be more successful than others. But, by my count, there are 12 Zelda games that have the dungeons structured the typical way James likes them. They are past due trying something like this.

I really hope the next console Zelda game brings at least a bit of this non-linearity along with it. I think it could be more interesting in a larger game world.
