"But the haters were wrong: Metroid Prime turned out to be one of the best games in the franchise—so good, in fact, that its two follow-ups couldn't begin to reach the high bar set by the original."

Good article, but I disagree with this statement.  Echoes is arguably on par with the original Prime IMO and Corruption comes pretty close.  Both awesome games.

I'm not getting my hopes up until Nintendo announces something, which they've already said they have nothing to announce.

Lol it begins again.  Is there a video game company that has been sued more than Nintendo has over the last 25 years?

Good, now I can import all three and give my money to NOE since NOA doesn't want it.

Yes not showing the console was a mistake.  Not talking about any Wii games other than Zelda was also a mistake.

« on: June 13, 2011, 06:57:53 AM »
I can already name a large portion of what this list will look like, or should look like:

Golden Sun
Advance Wars
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Mario Golf: Advance Tour
Mario Tennis Power Tour
Metroid Zero Mission
Wario Ware Twisted
Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald
Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga (this game didn't really wow me, but everyone seems to love it)
Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap (I've haven't played this one, but it's the exclusive game Zelda game for GBA so it has a strong chance to be on any 'Best Of' list for GBA.

GBA is one of my favorite systems ever.  ;D

@Neal & Aaron:

I appreciate you guys for asking.  I would say a non-answer is better than a 'no' answer, like we got with Disaster and Fatal Frame 4.

Somebody needs to tell NOA why the f*ck isn't Xenoblade coming to North America.  A 100+ hour RPG that's considered one of the best RPG's in the last decade and already has an English translation since it's scheduled to hit Europe in a few months.

Seriously, somebody needs to give NOA sh!t for this since there is no excuse for a game like this to not be given an American release.  This isn't like Another Code where the previous game on the DS bombed or like Disaster where the quality was considered to low.  Xenoblade is a gaint AAA title that's gotten amazing reviews and plays more like a Western RPG then a traditional Japanese RPG which would allow the game to have good appeal to the North American gaming audience.

There is no excuse at all for this game to not come to North America and somebody needs to tell NOA just What the F*ck!
This.

It is mind-blowing to me how NO ONE in the American gaming media is holding Nintendo's feet to the fire about Xenoblade and Last Story.  SOMEONE ASK NINTENDO ABOUT THESE GAMES!

I've never played Starfox 64 so I will definitely be picking this one up.

Colored-coded walls in the Water Temple?  I don't know if I like the sound of that.  I didn't have as much trouble with the Water Temple as a lot of people apparently did, having beaten OOT six times.  It was a tough temple, but not that tough I didn't think.  Anyway, this game is a no-brainer buy for me whenever I end up getting a 3DS.  Woot woot!

Silicon Knights is developing an X-Men game?  How did this happen?  Is SK so hurting for cash they've had to start taking on licensed games?

And I guess this means Eternal Darkness 2 for Wii is not in development.  Bummer.

« on: January 18, 2011, 12:04:59 PM »
If the giant 'M' and what it stands for on the box with descriptors as to exactly why the game is rated Mature doesn't clue some parents in, making the game case black is pointless.  Some parents just don't care what their kids play and some are just clueless.  As someone worked video game retail for two years, I'm speaking from experience.

Nintendogs 3DS will have to be a much deeper and fleshed out game for me to get it.  The first Nintendogs was OK, but pretty shallow ultimately.  There just wasn't enough to do.  There's only so many times I can walk my dog.
