Splatfest Weekend Results: The Wrong Kind of History

A stunning result for the first round of v2.2 Splatfests

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/41407/splatfest-weekend-results-the-wrong-kind-of-history

Results from the weekend's Splatfest competition:

North America: Pirates 382, Ninjas 318 28-72, 59-41 At Moray Towers, the Ninja side put up two world records: Largest popularity result, and biggest losing margin. The pirates, outnumbered more than 2-1, struck back with a vengeance when the Ninja side wasn't involved in civil wars - which nearly half the Ninja team was at any one time. Even under pre-2.2 scoring, the final would have been 264-236. One observer who went 31-17 on the day for the Pirates suggested that the Ninja side should've done a better job conserving their ninjutsu.

Japan: Love 353, Money 347 47-53, 51-49 At Blackbelly Skatepark, a narrower result ensued as a slight popularity bump was completely wiped out by a slight victory for Huey Lewis in the battles. The win for Callie's side leaves Marie in dire straights, as she is now 2-5 in both Japan and North America.

Europe and Australia will face off next week to determine if Callie sweeps another round, with the duel of Zombies v Ghosts. Authorities are investigating why this competition didn't take place on Hallowe'en.

More people chose money over love?  Seriously?

Anyway, I fought 23-5 for Team Pirates, so the win percentage didn't surprise me.  I wasn't expecting ninjas to be so wildly popular, though.

Ninjas were always cooler with the kids than pirates.

Hurray for Love! And for Pirates!

Why is it the wrong kind of history? You could just as easily say the pirates were the most dominant team we've seen so far. The negative slant makes it sound like the article was written by a sore ninja.  ;D
