45 hours in 11 shrines, No dungeons even close to started.
I'm surprised you've been able to find things to do for that long, the shrines are one of the big things to find in the world.

I've found shrines but if I'm on a side quest or in this case a pilgrimage I tend to skip them until I get where I'm going. Or sometimes I let the Force guide my path and I just end up in some ****. Looking for meat or getting fussed at by some obsessed flower lady. Looks like late spring before I reach Ganon. I intend to be a world traveler and a bad ass mofo before I meet my destiny.

only doing 3 hearts for as long as I can stand. Also not doing any stamina upgrades, which makes for some interesting choices.

Fast forward to me in the rain and I have to set up a camp site. Found a cave, dropped some wood, started a fire and open roasted a some acorns and apples to regain my strength. Sit till night when the rain would stop. Came out ready to fight...Rise of a Blood Moon.

This game...my god this game.

OK. I might not beat this game till late spring. I'm having too much fun doing nothing.

so glad I decided to ride the bench on this launch.
I'll probably wait till summer... or Xmas.

I get it, But playing BOTW on break at the office or waiting for the train is rock solid bro! I haven't Day One'd a console since GameCube but I've got no regrets so far. I don't dock the Switch since I also have BotW on Wii U, this has been an exclusive handheld, and as an upgrade to the 3DS it's like heaven. Even coming from Vita, this thing is a gem from me.

I have only played in handheld mode since buying it. I docked it to make sure it works and I have used it since. Minor issues with the finish being iffy and seeming like a grease magnet but it doesn't change the coolness of the form factor.

The real test will be when I buy another one for my bar and how customers react to have one right there with there drinks. I'm waiting on more arcade type games to come before I set one up for the public.

33
Thank you for this.

Will add my recipes when I find my notebook (I love how old school it is to write this down)

34
Is there a log somewhere that tells you how long you played? Time moves different when I play BOTW. I think i'm at 10 hours  or so but I can't tell.

35
Also, Since I am playing both versions (WiiU with the kids, and Switch just for me) I can say that BotW has moved Wii U into the top 5 of consoles.

36
This is probably going to be my least liked 3D Zelda game since Twilght sadly. Just like TP, this game's image quailty is horrendus as everything has this weird washed out look about it. There's clearly an amazing colour pallette there, but whatever funky workings they've got going on in this is presenting it as a mess.

As for the game...

Like a lot of open world games, this feels bloated and the majority of exploration just a meaningless time sink that not only offers little to actually do, but little reason to do it. I'd take a smaller more content filled world in any game than a pointless bloated one.

The controls aren't quite up to Nintendo's past works and the new additions are just okay. The puzzle like elements for the additions are pretty good mind. The story is okay, but it might just be me, but I'm not a fan of VA in Zelda. It just doesn't feel right.

I'd give this a 6/10 so far.

Bloated empty open world, horrendus [sic] image quality, the Switch's honeymoon period (from the other thread), why, you've got most of the talking points down! You got anything about garbage motion controls or dogshit OS or anything like that?

What the hell version are you planing?

37
Item drop should be a button and yes there needs to be a cook book. That is the only issues I have with this game.

On a a side note. I have become opposed to fast travel since horse travel is by far the most fun in a game. Game is moving up my best of all time list rather quickly.

38
Disappointing. Digital Foundry confirms the big frame-rate drops while docked. Handheld is very stable.

Digital Foundry suggests the Wii U version might skew closer to the handheld version, but they're just speculating at this point. If so, I say it would be very disappointing seeing as I will play most of this game docked on a TV.

Less we forget this is a side port and NOT a hardware issue like the NEOGAF thread appears to think.

This game is Amazing outside of these issues.

39
This is such bunk, baloney and bullshit! After all this time  3 delays and now a platform switch. What The FcuK is going on at the House of M.

I am sorry I ever doubted you Nintendo, I am sorry. Please except my day one purchase as an heartfelt apology.

MY GOD Zelda...

41
SWEET CHRISTMAS...Gamestop was a breeze in and out in 10 mins. Got my console and jumped in the car to drive to South Philly to grab Zelda from Best Buy. Line was crazy, 3 news vans it took over an hour just to get Zelda. I just got back home at 2:13am and best buy is a 15min drive.

on to the eshop

42
On my way to gamestop and then to best buy since I got zelda from a different location. Still I haven't felt like this since gamecube, which is the last console I got on launch day.

43
Not sure if this is getting any traction with all the news and such but the dock might not be able to support and eGPU, aka the so-called  Supplemental Computing Device since USB 3.0 might not be fast enough. However, if the USB-C on the bottom is 3.1 there may be a Pro Dock with an external GPU capable of scaling the power of the Switch quite a bit.

Even still Nvidia makes it possible since they have designed their SoC with this feature in mind so maybe there is a way to do this over 3.0. If that is the case...it will be a very interesting 18 months

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Forum Snap Poll: How Sold Are You on the Switch?
« on: January 15, 2017, 12:05:32 AM »
I pre-ordered something for the first time ever. I would have pre-ordered Zelda too but if it doesn't have dual audio I'm importing.

With that being said, only Skyrim looks like it might not be possible on Wii U. Switch is just  a Wii U plus Turbo and I'm not sure thats good enough at 300.

45
For a console that launches in just about 6 weeks, there are far too many questions that have yet to be answered. This leads me to believe that there will be several more Nintendo Directs before launch. At least 3.

While i'm not expecting a specs break down, I expect to at least know how much RAM is in the thing?

Will games need any type of install or are they playing of the cart directly?

Web browser, Netflix Hulu, etc...

Are there Joy-Cons with different features?  Joy-Camera? Dpad?

It's not e3 but there needs to be more explanation?

The Wii U with 4GB of RAM and 25% more in both cpu and gpu would be more than capable of competing in the new "Hybrid Market" I haven't done the hard math but I'm  sure with these specs (and no 2x screen rendering) the NX would be able to do DX11 (can almost do it now), Unity 5, Unreal 4 and CryEngine (4) with no compromises.
From a pricing structure I'm also fairly sure you can pull this off in a tablet for $200 US. Add the HDMI Dongle and Dock for another $30 more and boom, another classic Nintendo Winner!

BOY WAS I WRONG ON THAT PRICE!

47
With an absence of hyperbole, that may be the greatest trailer I have seen. Is is me or is the IQ significantly better than the Wii U?

I've been told to watch the extended cut because it makes the movie "better" but Netflix didn't have that version on DVD... atleast that's wasn't the description on the disc.

in your opinion... did the extra 1hr "fix" the movie? or simply add context to many of the scenes that didn't help the movie anyway?

First, I didn't hate the original cut. I have some problems with the movie, mainly they tried to squeeze to much into a single film. Really thought they should have released 2 Movies at the same time ala Pokemon red/blue.

However with that being said, the extended cut fixes one HUGE problem I had with the end of the movie so yeah, it helps with that. Doing a check and the extended edition is BLU-RAY only...so I'd watch that version 1st.

Probably a 7 movie outside of my Batman Fandom.
