Wii was good name. Switch is a good name. The sound is effect is the brilliant part though.

It looks amazing. The idea of a hybrid was always great and looks like a brilliant execution. I'm so pumped.
Also, my professional opinion as a marketeer (*cringe*) is that the name is good, but the clicking sound is brilliant.

However, I fear I'll play a good portion of it and stop since it's so long.I'm usually like that with JRPGs but the structure of DQ7 makes it somewhat easy to come back to and/or to play in specific, small-ish chuncks.

I haven't played a lot of DQ games, even though I absolutely adored 9. I picked this one up on Friday and I'm loving it. It's so damn charming.

Without giving away any big spoilers, are there any tips or things to be aware of when starting the game? The only thing I’ve heard is that a certain character is killed if he isn’t A-rank by a certain chapter.

I bought Tony Hawk 5 in a sale because all games in the series between 3 and Thug 2 are some of my favorite games of all time. I knew this game was pretty bad but I figured it'd be worth 15€, now that it's patched an all. It's not. What a trainwreck.

So far probably my GOAT. Pokemon is still coming, which'll probably overtake it, but damn it I like this game, flaws and all. It just hit me at the right time.

I never finished Awakening (my first FE game), because, well, I suck at these games. I however do like playing them so Phoenix Mode really makes me happy. It's probably the main reason I finished Birthright. I'm now half-way through Revelations, which is also great. The only thing that sucks is that some of the relationship dialog does not take Revelations into account. For example, it occasionally assumes that some characters that are not in the camp in Revelations are actually in the camp. That feels a little sloppy for a 20$ DLC. All in all, I think these games are awesome, and I hope the next FE games will keep Phoenix Mode. Just my two cents.

At this point I believe we're either talking a hybrid device that requires only one purchases (imagine you could plug the Vita into a TV and use it as a controller rather than having to buy a PSTV to play Vita games on a TV - that's what I think it would be like) or simply two devices that share only some games (again, much the like the PS4 and Vita). All the more esoteric guesses, especially the ones we have heard the last few days, seem absolutely crazy to me, given actual market realities and Nintendo's corporate culture.

I played both of these games on the Wii for many hours and didn't finish them. If have this tendency to completely walk away from a game if controls (especially motion controls) keep me from achieving some goal for several times. It's also the reason I never finished Okami on the Wii. However, I still remember them fondly, just because I like the universe so much. I would definitely play a HD version of TP, provided they put in the regular controls.

I played this on the GCN and never finished it. I also played it on the Wii and never finished it because I did not like the controls (I think I never noticed that is has CC support). Thirds time's the charm. Definitely looking forward to this.
