Advance Wars will keep you challenged for a LOONG time as the game is absolutly huge.
Pokemon is also really good, but it's addictive factor means your liable to finish the game and racking up 70 hours of gameplay in about a week.

OK check this crime against Humanity, that my dad just emailed me
Quote

Big W have still not received their stock of the new Zelda GameCube
title. (as of 11:00 Tuesday 13th may)
You are on the reserved list, they don't know when it is arriving
CAn you fuking believe that? Big W has stil not received their stock. For god's sake, Big W is the biggest department store in the Biggest settlment in WA outside of Perth. I mean 60 000 people live in the Bunbury area, countless numbers of these people are Nintendo fans and yet they dont get any copies of Zelda yet. God I fuking hope they have the limited edition.

Well Since we're all doing it.
My Games List
Note my comments on Golden Sun and note my love for the 'Sim' series (before it turned mainstream)
Actually that collection isn't complete (missing SNES, GCN and GBC games), and it seems Ign moved some of my wanted list into my actual have list.

Anyway, my dad supposeadly got someone to pick up my copy of the windwaker today (Monday) and he got them to pester the shop people about bonus disks. Just what sort of numbers of bonus disks were there? Was every copy in this shipping limited or were there bonus diskless games out there?

Yes GBA needs online. having 4 player smash bros is much easier than 4 player super Circut.

Ok guys, a couple of things. i skipped through a fair few of the messages because I'm afraid of spoilers. thanks for the warning. but you know ick made a spoiler tage, when you post a possible spoiler type [ spoiler ] before it and  [ /spoiler ] after it (except without the gap between the bracket.) and it can obnly be read if highlighted.
Actually, I was quite disgusted, when i picked up the latest issue of Hyper! They only gave Zelda 97%! I mean, 97% is the same score they gave System Shock 2 and Perfect Dark and Deus Ex. Zelda deserves a way higher mark! But reading the 6 page review REVEALED A SPOILER!. And by the sounds of it a very BIG spoiler! Just so you guys dont ruin the game for youselves I would sugest you read upto the heading Sailing on the seas and start reading again on the next heading A certified classic. of course the spoiler they say in between there might not actually be true or is revealed increibly early in the game so it doens't matter. in eitehr case iw ouldn't know. because unless you havent figured it out. i'm Zelda-less. Right now Big W in Bunbury is hopefully reserving my copy, which hopefully includes a bonus disk. And hopefully Dad will get someone to pick it up for me tomoororw while I'm in boarding school
Honestly though, it's not that bad that I'm without Zelda. I'm still playing through Metroid Prime (nearly 40% through, 9 hours played) and I'm 14 hours into Pokemon. I'll never ever finish playing those games if i buy Zelda now. What is going to be hard though will be purchasing Soul Caliber 2, Skies of Arcadia legends and playing zelda:WW for th first time AND storming thorugh master Quest in 7 weeks as soon as I escape from Boarding school. If i can stay motivated and undistracted between thoose three games i should keep gaming away happily until mario kart, 1080 and F zero, whcih all seem to have release dates pointing at Xmas.
lastly, i'm not really interested in Enter The Matrix, the game went through development hell and I'm not sure if it came out alive. Hyper said some nice things about it in their preview, but ever since EA bribed hyper abouta  year back I've ad a little less trust their "hands on in depth previews"

your lucky you edited that because i felt like being a smartarse.

But i do agree with you that these guys arn't atari and and shouldn't be masquerading as them, alhoung I wont boycott infograms products, I might want to buy one of their games one day, ie. if V-Rally 3 comes to Gamube (if it already is please tell me)

If enter the Matrix sucks as much as i think it will (and anyone who's followed fatbabies.com's coverage of the game would too) then I'll happily help bury copies in the Great sandy Desert, Western Australia.

Thanks for not posting any spoilers guys, I runined Majora's mask for myself by reading everything about it before playing it, I dont ever want to do that to another Zelda game again.

Anyway I wished everyone at G-Block (an area of school where 70% of my year hangs out) a happy zelda day, most were confused, some laughed some just thought I was a loser etc. The guy I REALLY wanted to wish a happy zelda day, because he abandoned the cube and bougth an xbox because of the look of zelda, wasn't there because he had a maths test and therefore wagged school. Hopefully he was actually taking the day off to buy the Zelda bundle, he's showed interest in the cube recently but I doubt it. Oh yeah, one of my friends who is currently cubeless (wants one) wished our english teacher a very happy zelda day, she had no idea what he was on.

Lastly, it looks like I might be able to get Zelda, tomorow afternoon. What will be painful will be the 45 minute car ride back before I can play it. GODAMN living in rural areas. Goddamn Harvey Norman (scapegoat, but they stock F**K all cube gear)

Anyway, what are you guys doing reading this? Get back to Zelda!

On a very final note, I'm at home cos it's the weekend. i cant take my cube into boarding and i only have one more weekend at home, till next schol holidays. Who should I give the honor of lending my cube too during that time?
The nominees are:
My Best Friend - Doesn't really show much intrest in console gaming but wouldn't mind. Doesn't care bout zelda.
My Neihbours - Like my cube more than their PS2 but PS2 has DVD playback so their parents ony let them get it. Dont play many video games, except they love Zelda
That guy at school that tured to teh dark side - Is considering buying a cube, I might just have to cement that decision in his mind, would be smart enough to manage my meory cards properly. Likes zelda games although hates the cel shading.
Other possible candidates include the guy who wished our englsh teacher a happy zelda day, or just keep the thing myself.

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo Nexus: Next-gen name?
« on: May 08, 2003, 03:50:44 PM »
True but they called them entertainment systems to avoid it being written off straight away as a gaming machine (cos ghaming had killed itself a couple fo years before) and back then there was no real term of entertainment system. While now people might say "Oh I bought a an entertainment system, when they say they bought a 5.1 setup and a dvd player etc."
The times have changed.

Hey Guys, sorry I havent posted recently, I just moved into baording school and it's taklen me ages to get my internet connection runnniung and then when it did I had to put up with my browser chrashingevery 5 minutes (No Joke) Anyway I'm currently in our homework time with one of the schol laptops, which work proper so I'm glad I can spend this lovely Zelda Day eve with you guys. I hope you all get the game tomoorw (if not allready) and have fun with it. I wont be able to get my hands on the lovely gold case until Saturday, friday will seem like an eternity.

Abouyt the Wind Waker graphics being blurry, im pretty sure it's an intentional effect in that the camera isn't focused on objects in the distance. It's strange that they include such a realistic effect in a cartoony game but ohwell, wait for it to be used ina  realistic looking game.
partially focused cameras is probably the only rthing stopping games from true photo realism because in real life and in photos your eyes or the lens cannot focus on the entire picture, just a small area. I'm guessing it wont be too long before 90% of games feature a similar effect.

Anyway happy gaming to ya.

Well I'm going into boarding in about half an hours time. And the chances of me getting the game on Friday are extroadinarily slim.

And shifty i think you should just forget about uni on friday, just go play zelda.

Hahahaa, good one.

We need a loyal Nintendo fanboy as prime minister. I mean Bob kawke said the famous words "Any boss would be a bum for sacking any employee who didn't come to work tomorrow" after we won the america's cup. So if he cold declare a national holiday just because he was into sailing then a nintendo fanboy prime minister could do too!
