I really hope that New Super Mario Bros. U will have different art styles in the different worlds. When they showed it on stage, there was a Van Gough style Boo’s house level, but that was not on the show floor. That’s certainly a step in the right direction, or should I say triple-jump in the right direction. One of the main complaints of the first game was bland and generic backgrounds. Just keep Mario and his gameplay the same, but change the world he’s in. Nintendo is probably withholding info on Bowser, Peach, and the koopalings, until closer to launch; no use in laying all your Hanafuda down months in advance.
