Possibility for surprise games on the floor?
« on: May 10, 2006, 10:24:40 AM »
Now that info from the show floor is trickling in (the gun, Mario hands-on), can we safely say that there are no surprise games on the show floor today? I was really hoping for some kind of music game. A music game would be really accessible and make a lot of sense (the only games I can get some of my friends to play is DDR and Donkey Konga).

We saw videos of people conducting and of a guy playing drums, but no footage. Since these were the first two things in the pre-conference, it would be really lame if Nintendo had no plans of actually making them a reality some time soon.

What, so you're saying you'd like to see a game like Band Bros. for Wii?

I don't know what Band Bros. is.

BUT

n-sider.com just released a list of all the playable games on the floor! And WiiMusic is there!

Ask and you shall recieve, I guess.

Actually, the first thing to happen at the Nintendo Press Confrence was Miyamoto conducting a virtual symphony preferming music from Zelda, with Wii.

Yeah... but after watching that a couple times, I'm not completely sold that he was truly controlling what was going on.

BUT, no worries, WiiMusic is on the show floor.

I'm like the Wii name more and more. It's especially cool how the use it as a prefix. Revolution would have sounded right as prefix, nor as one word (RevolutionMusic - MusicRevolution).

Anyway, it just looks cool too. WiiMusic. WiiTennis. WiiBaseball. and so on.

I got the joke, Rick.  Seems like no one else did.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Wii Sports is one game, as I would suppose the pointer demos are. There's only 22 things on that list.

EDIT: Okay, nm. Where the hell is my Super Smash Bros? One thing is for certain, if there's no SSB at E3 at all, it won't be a launch title. Which sucks.
