Am I the only one that thinks it is easier to just get NiHm battery's that take like 5min to charge. I am actually glad Nintendo went the way they did concening battery's as I never have to think about charging and just change batterys when old ones are dead.

From screenshots and video the game does not interest me that much but I love platformers and the reviews for this game are all good. This review also makes the game seem very open ended which I like. I imagine I will eventually pick this game up after it drops price.

good review

I thought this game gone gold a month after wiiware launch but Nintendo was holding on to it for some reason but I guess that was misinformation, either way I really wanna get this game as it looks really awesome as 98% of the wiiware games look like flash games I am glad we are getting content like this coming out on the service soon.

Very good game if you like city builders sim. My only problems with the game is that it takes forever for the game to become interesting.

There were times I though about giving up but than it started to get good. The problem with this is that it gets good a little to late. Taken me about 40days to finally get into this game. I think if some of the DLC came with the initial game that problem could've been lessened but I haven't actually purchased any of the DLC yet so I wil not pass futher judgment on that.

Ya just read this from 1up. So excited if this comes a reality but its preproduction and does not mean the bigwigs at Ubisoft have green lighted it. I just hope they give Ancel a break from the rabbids and let him work on BGE 2.

Also hope its on Wii else I may never actually get to play it without spending about $400.

It works better than I though it would(after initial startup), but I can't help feeling that 80% of the whats in the channel should be inside the VC and upcomning wii ware channel.

But its still nice to have and hopefully Nintendo will take the shop outside of the browser and straight onto the console.

Reader Reviews / Re: Okami

Excellent Review

Yes this game is amazing. Having a little trouble with my controls being picked up by the game but either than that, it is amazing. I am having more fun with Okami than I remember having with the past two Zelda games(WW and TP). Its fun to just run through the field which I did not feel in the other Zelda games.

This is my favorite game released for Wii so far. Its like zelda but with a freshenss to it like better combat, leveling system(able to chose what you want to ungrade), magic system(Celestial brush), use of magic and skills is broken up throughout the entire game(not just used in one dungeon than forget about it).

I Really wish Nintendo takes some tips from Okami regarding their next Zelda outing. After playing this game I feel like clover is doing a better at reinventing the genre than Nintendo is with Zelda.

TalkBack / Re: Three Key Staffers Leave Retro Studios
« on: April 25, 2008, 12:31:16 AM »
Everything still sounds to very cryptic to me surrounding this issue. I am curious how big of a part these guys played in the development at Retro and if retro can rebound from this. I just wanna see something new from retro studios and hope they can make an awesome new IP for Nintendo.

Also very curious why these guys would leave. Was Nintendo forcing them to remake an old franchise and these guys wanted to do something new? or was it that they just wanted to go separate ways.

Does anyone else think this is premature?

There are more consoles out in the wild than ever before for this generation, before all the late year announcements, before possible price drops(Xbox 360), before huge game releases that we know are coming out(MGS 4, GTA 4, some others).

I really don't understand these guys

Last but not least;
Game stop/Eb games sucks

The tech demo I saw from IGN did not impress me. Still looked like 2ng gen GC quality to me. But I know lot of people want some good FPS so this could be good if it controls like some of the good previous FPS controls. Said this after seeing IGN leaked specs to not expect graphics to look better than GC and people should still expect them not to. Don't think this will be some amazing engine that brings the Wii close to Xbox360 quality cause it won't happen.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Take THAT, you stupid Cruel Brawl guys
« on: April 01, 2008, 03:47:58 PM »
I was ready to throw something at the TV but them my friend showed me to just jump under the platform. I think that and variations of that is the only way to beat them on cruel brawl. Trick is to just avoid them so they don't it you. I got up to 4 with fighting but it was pure luck really.

The Wii's online interface works best for Pro Evolution Soccer, according to the development team leader.

I will believe it when I see it.

The thing about Pokemon trainer is you have to use 3 different characters and learn 3 different strategies. Charizard is very good especially in boss battles if you get to know how to use him. He is actually my boss battle character. I haven;lt used pokemon trainer that much yet but I imagine I will eventually spend some time with him.

Cannot wait for SC2 loved the first game and I am sure I will love this one as well. I am very excited about the zerg more than ever. I remember starting as a protoss player mostly because they are the easiest to use but after awhile you realize the zerg are just plain awesome.

I just could n't get into this game. Every time I play it I think of how awesome it would be if it were made for the Wii. Don't care for the controls or any of the controller options.

Sonic all the way.

The Blue Hedgehog is just so smooth going from one move to another. He will definitely be my character because of his unequaled smoothness and speed. Still on occassion have trouble adjusting to his seed when previously playing a slower character.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Pikmin Lovefest
« on: March 18, 2008, 05:38:54 PM »
You guys are crazy. The second game is so much better and so much more stuff do to. The first one was fun but it was very short(like mini game short to me). I rented it and beat it twice and I could not fathom to buy the first game. I also thought taking out the timer was a huge improvement. Everything I did not like about the first game was fixed or made better on Pikmin 2. I don't think Pikmin did terribly, it sold well in japan, not as good in NA but it was good enough for Nintendo do make another for us and release it over here. I am trying to look for numbers but cannot find any.

I guess everyone has their own opinion. I think achievements could solve some of these problems by having missions or something that have to be done in a certain time for people that like them.

General Gaming / Re: What's MS' next move with the XBox 360?
« on: March 18, 2008, 03:31:17 AM »
The problem with Xbox is the variety of games suck. Every time MS says they will fix and realse a better variety they go crazy and start over hyping the next big shooter. They say they want mass appeal but they only cater to the niche.

I kinda agree that they will hype up games like GTA4 and Too human then announce the next console. I personally can not wait for the day when a console last 10 years. Hoping this generation will become that but with 3 consoles I just have a hard time thinking that will ever happen. I just can't see much more noticeable improvement in game quality with better consoles.

It seems like console makers are starting to sell brand and hype instead of hardware and games.

Nintendo Gaming / Pikmin Lovefest
« on: March 18, 2008, 03:13:07 AM »
I just wanna say that I hope Pikmin 3 comes out this year with online coop and voice chat. This is a franchised that I just adored since it came out. I am personally looking forward to this game more than Mario Kart or any other game out their. Would love to see an achievement structure added to the game and flesh out some more game play mechanics without adding more variety of pikmin.

Any other pikmin lovers out there wanting a sequel? have any ideas for the sequel?

I really hope its pikmin 3 but I dunno if Nintendo would classify it as a Big game. I am about 90% sure its animal crossing though with them launching their pay to play service and making more money on selling virtual chairs and dressers. It could obviously be both games though so thats what I am hoping for.

Making some money is better than making no money.

Can't see this stuff every being solved unless companies require connectivity to internet so they can check. Nintendo is fighting a unwinnable battle imo.
