I like these new features.  I feel like they are really trying to balance the competitive scene and the original concept of collecting and raising a pet.  They don't want Players just throwing away Pokemon because of natures that people don't want, or poor base stats.

This seems to make the entire game more accessible, but I am sure some will say it will ruin the meta and special-ness of catching a really good Pokemon, but to me I think that is a good thing.

I think even the people in the competitive scene will appreciate not having to work as hard to get egg moves, perfect IVs, etc.  More accessibility doesn't seem like it would sour the experience for competitive players.

Now, the basis of building a balanced team with a good moveset will be even more important, which I think is good.  Should expand the competitive base.
