Is to be really really dense. It's not something you can pretend, you actually have to be dense. This rule only applies for townies. Dense mafia goons like myself are always voted out but luckily we have backup plans. In fact there is a direct relationship between the length of time a Mafia game goes for and the density of the participants brains.
