General Gaming / Wii VC help
« on: November 28, 2006, 11:55:03 PM »
This should not interfere with the NWR rules, because ... I am simply asking if anyone is familiar with hex-editing and things like that.  If you are familiar with the DMR-stripper "fairplay" (A program which removes the encryption that is put on every purchased itunes song which doesn't allow anyone else to use this song, along with some mp3 players and devices)  The same type of encryption is used on Wii's Virtual Console games, the file can be transfered to an SD card and backed up on the computer.  However, if someone were to have multiple Wii's or were to bring a game to a friends house, the virtual console game will not work on another Wii.  If anyone can help with this or know of someone who could please reply.

General Gaming / RE: SONY patented PS Power Glove?
« on: July 06, 2004, 08:48:37 PM »
could this be the thing nintendo was trying to get at with the nintendo revolution... "completely innovative", "will change the way you play games presently" nintendo likes to rehash they're ideas and build on them... oh ya and another question... wasn't nintendo supposed to release they're equivilent of the eyetoy long b4 sony... for games like centerstage or w/e its called?

« on: July 06, 2004, 06:20:27 PM »
I love nintendo and will stick by them always but recently i helped a friend set up his xbox live, and i must say... im dissapointed nintendo has no online support.  Xbox live is an entire new way to play, and i love it.  I regret in posting i may be buying an xbox.. but a modded one with free games, bcuz i really dont like microsoft ... I love nintendo , ya thats where my heart is... so ill be helping nitendo in a way by ripping off micro$oft

If you really think about it , nintendo tends to weed out the crap, there are alot of garbage games that nintendo tends to stay away from, but im willing to bet that when they dont endorse those companies they miss out on a few decent games, I would like to see software companies develop for the DS for more on the Picto Chat, things like that Imagine a game like Ink Link on DS, or a movie player, The DS seems to have a great deal of potential in my opinion, although the physical look of it wasn't the sexy sleek machine i was thinking of, it is still most likely the cheapest way for it to function right, nintendo takes that into mind, which makes them great. let it look mediocre but u won't have to charge the 47 gajillion for a psp, that looks like a keychain, nintendo keeps the consumer in mind.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:My smart consumer Story for the day!
« on: November 28, 2003, 06:48:23 PM »
yea i talked to the manager alittle after and he said there were 70 game cubes that were out and what ever else they wanted to put out, the stack was gone in a matter of 20 minutes... NIntendo may mess up, but when they do.  They learn to come back.  Nicely done.  Oh yea I have no clue how my store has 70 gamecubes compared to the 5 you've talked about.. I live in a small town in Pennsylvannia called Lehighton.  Population about 4,000. May be? 203 kids in my highschool. Not very large. Strange.

Nintendo Gaming / My smart consumer Story for the day!
« on: November 28, 2003, 01:30:17 AM »
I got the gamecube 79.44 dollar zelda collector edition package.... not one but two this morning went to walmart about 5:15.. store opens at 6. complete craziness. I bought one for my girlfriend. My mom was buying one for my sister who loves my gamecube i got on launch day what is it 3 years ago... my mom was discouraged of all the crazy people there. She left. I got my girlfriends gamecube. went home to discover she did not get one. my dissapointed baby sister asked if i would take her back.  I took her back it was still crazy this was about an hour from opening.  Went to the electronics department.  noticed the stack of gamecubes that once stood tall and proudly next to the measily 3 ps2's sitting next to them couring in the site of this many gamecubes.  I asked the nice Heterosexually challenged man at the register if there were ne left. He sed no, but his assistant spoke up and said i have one left.. out from behind the counter she pulled a gamecube. THE LAST ONE IN THE STORE. This isn't just an exaggeration. It was the last gamecube. I got two gamecubes for what came to $84.21. with the tax in Pennsylvannia. How could have I dont better... Now I will play the very first zeldas I grew up with and which inspired me to stay in the Nintendo family.  AHHH nostalgia.  I am then off to a day of work at Mcdonalds oh joy... But i will have a little spring in my step today.

Nintendo Gaming / uk mario kart bundle stateside???
« on: November 03, 2003, 05:14:43 PM »
My girlfriend loves zelda, I was reading the contents of this package and it's everything I was looking to buy her in one.  I want the Mario KartD so we can play LAN together.  I am buying a GC for Christmas for her. Is there any chance of this coming to the U.S.  it would really really help me out to get this for her .   So any details or speculation would help me out.
