Isn't GSN included in most basic cable and satellite packages? I haven't had television service for years, so I can't recall... but it seems like I had it at some point or another.

I have Dish Network, and GSN is only on the more expensive packages (along with BBC America, which I want)

The problem with the show is that it was on GSN to begin with.  Seriously, I only randomly found out about it a week ago.  Who the heck watches GSN regularly that isn't a blue-haired old lady anyway?
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

I'm still not sure how it counted as a game show, since the pretense of "winning" that existed on Whose Line isn't even there.

I used to watch Game Show Network all the time. Back when it launched, it was great. The problem was that they started focusing more and more on original programming and they've stopped replaying most of the classic game shows they started with.

I guess it's because I was watching a lot of older shows at the time as well. From MASH to I Dream of Jeannie or the Andy Griffith show. The funny thing was watching these older shows, I then recognized most of the celebrities on them. It all tied together so well.  Heck, I'm a huge fan of older movies and watch way more movies made before say 1975 then I do of movies made after. Cinema today. Ugh.

The fall of the GSN is disappointing. That was a channel I could put on anytime of the day and I had no problem watching it. I loved the old 1950's/1960's panel/discussion game shows like To Tell the Truth or I've Got a Secret. It's funny how the revival's/reboots of those shows can never live up to the original productions. You don't think it would be that hard to recreate a show like that but they just don't work. I also saw the episode of To Tell The Truth with Frank Abernagle Jr of the bio-pic Catch Me If You Can. This was a year or two after that movie so it was this awesome find to just tune in and catch that episode. Catch Me If You Can even starts out with this To Tell The Truth appearance. And if you're interested, Frank was able to walk away with the full prize as the whole panel were unable to correctly identify him.

But the one program I watched everyday was Match Game. They still play it early morning because I think it was a pretty big draw for the network. That show was hilarious. If you've never seen it, I highly recommend you start watching it. The 74-77 years were probably the best but you can still get a lot of fun out of the other seasons.

Yes sir, the GSN was a big part of my High School years. Which is why it's current stat is such a tragedy. I have a feeling that it will probably just up and disappear soon. They need to start paying for the rights and bringing back the Mark Goodson production games shows. Those are the best. The Price is Right. Password. Family Feud. I know they still make it but there's something special to the old Richard Dawson hosted Feud.

The other thing they should acquire the rights for is The Gong Show. Every once in awhile, they would suddenly spring a few episodes of it on the air. Do a special marathon one day and then never show them again for months. They only seemed to have a certain few because they would replay them but they were worth watching every time.

Anyways, this is supposed to be about new shows but thinking about the GSN always gets me talking on my favorite genre of T.V. The Game Show.

It looks like Arrested Development might be coming to the theaters after all.... but not before it comes back to TV!

Netflix is also in the running to make the 10 episode ("What have they been up to!?") run a reality that will precede a movie. Both are expected to happen in 2013.

I'm really curious as to what Gob & Tobias have been up to. You know those will be 2 hilarious episodes.

The idea they have for Buster is pretty damn funny too.
Quote
The first episode, he said, could focus on Buster Bluth, the deeply neurotic brother played by Tony Hale. “The latest joke we have,” Mr. Hurwitz said, “is that it’s Cambridge, Massachusetts, and there’s all these scientists in lab coats and they’re waiting for somebody. Buster comes through the door in a white lab coat – ‘Let’s begin’ – and they say, ‘Oh, no, you don’t get to wear the lab coat. We’re experimenting on you.’”

Meh.
I'm psyched to see the movie.  But that trailer was meh.
I be more excited for a trailer with cool music putting the live action by comic root.

He was offered a "tailor-made" role.
http://screenrant.com/the-expendables-2-donnie-yen-kofi-129055/

I guessing they did that so he wouldn't feel like the little weak Asian guy like they did to Jet Li.

and for anyone that doesn't know who he is, go watch Ip Man.

I am against having Tony Jaa in any movie. He had a really good first movie, but he just doesn't cut it. The man has no acting ability. He makes Keanu look like Oscar gold. Jackie Chan can actually act and speak more lines than "WHERE IS MY ELEPHANT". Jackie is positively Shakespearean compare to him.

Jet Li was something of a missed opportunity, but I rather enjoyed the comedy coming from him. What was criminally wrong about the Expendables was the shitastic camera work and ADHD editing. When will filmmakers learn that quake cam and quick cuts are no substitute for good basic movie making.

Chow Yuen Fat would make a good addition if they give him a lot of guns and have give speak only in Cantonese. His english is worse than Jet Li. Liam Neeson would qualify at this point if he wasn't doing **** like Battleship.

Oohh Liam Neeson would be great too.

And I expect Tony Jaa to be relegated to a goon that fights, gets killed by Jet Li or Donnie Yen and then we move on. No speaking role, just pure action out of him.
