I think there should be reboots allowed, what about like Ultimate Spider-man, or the X-Men in Cable's universe, or an alternate take on the Avengers. I think the movies should be like the comics with confusing alternate storylines and multiple origin and death stories.

in the future when we all have robot slaves we'll all have enough spare cash to get that to work.

I don't know a ton about comic books, but most comic book characters make some sense to me - however, the character of Wonder Woman seems COMPLETELY ridiculous, especially in 2011.

I think that Wonder Woman, as she stands, probably is too cheesy. She definitely was with Linda Carter. They should really run with the Greco-Roman themes that are prevents throughout the series, if anything. Oh, and get rid of the outfit... super hero outfits simply do not look good in "the real world". :P

Get rid of the outfit? All of those accessories do something. The only neutral garment is the pants, and she only takes those off when with me ;)

I think part of the problem is that the pants don't fit tight enough. It should be like a second skin on her.

The other problem is that it should be some hot shorts. Show off those legs.

Also why are her wrist shields silver if everything else is gold? She is a woman and would accessorize better than that.

That is also a bad pic with her having a horrible look on her face in the middle of a half-ass run. Wonder Woman never half-asses anything and she always look beautiful while doing it.

MTV's Teen Wolf
http://www.screened.com/news/mtv-releases-full-trailer-for-new-teen-wolf-series/1983/

p.s. Has nothing to do with the Teen Wolf we all fondly remember from the 80's
But I honestly don't think it looks that bad ::ducks rocks being thrown::

It kinda looks like the Werewolf version of The Vampire Diaries, which is fine because everyone else jumped on the Vampire train already, so somebody has go to cover the other side of Twilight and support team Jacob right?

Just to clarify (not that I really feel the need to defend myself, but whatever) I don't watch The Vampire Diaries, I just know that it is The CW's highest rated primetime show. I also don't watch MTV and HATE the Twilight movies (my sister is a huge fan though with her team Edward doll and twilight poster on the wall).

But regarding the TV show trailer, it didn't look b-movie bad and likely fits in perfectly with the demo they are aiming for; Twilight fans that were pro-wolf as everyone else has been on a Vampire high (True Blood, Being Human, countless vamp movies and other vamp TV shows all springing up over the last 5-6 years) as hardly anyone has covered werewolves* which I'm sure there are now plenty of tween fans of.

It's obviously an angsty Teen drama that is more Vampire Diaries than 80's Teen Wolf updated for 2011, but just looking at it for what it is, it doesn't look that bad. It could look alot worse, like a SyFy or Hallmark channel movie.

*the two shows I listed actually do cover werewolves, but True Blood is a vampire show. Being Human covers Vamps, Weres and Ghost.

edit: I thought I should point out that I didn't post that video here because I thought we should all tune in for MTV's Teen Wolf, just thought we should all be aware that MTV is reviving the Teen Wolf name with something that is actually more The Werewolf Diaries than a 2011 Teen Wolf made for TV.

They could have given it some texture so that it didn't look like they put a digital wax mask on his face in post production.

Game of Thrones

I posted about it in the fantasy thread but it probably fits better here since it starts on the 17th.

An HBO made series based on the acclaimed books by George R. R. Martin.

I've read a lot of good things about it, HBO is the one making it and Sean Bean is the first cast member listed on the wiki so I'm excited.

So I'm watching CNN last night and one of the blurbs on the bottom of the screens says that Phil Collins daughter has been cast to play Snow White. So this morning I go on CNN.com to check it out, and they mention that the movie is coming out in June of 2012, and that there is another Snow White movie, with an entirely different cast coming out December of 2012 WTF? :confused; ?

I've mentioned before that I don't mind reboots and remakes, but two separate movies of the same story being made in the same year? That seems a little extreme.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1735898/
That one is Snow White and the Huntsman starring Kristen Stewart as Snow and Charlize Theron as the evil queen.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1667353/
This one is The Brothers Grimm: Snow White starring Lilly Collins as Snow and Julia Roberts as the evil queen.

Right off the bat I'm more interested in the 'Brothers Grimm' version as their stories are much more adult (Nintendo adult, not God of War adult) than the Disney adaptations, and while I am a fan of Charlize Theron, Julia Roberts is that chick, and I'm not much for Kristen Stewart.

They did the same thing with 2012 only one was low budget and the other was big hollywood studio.

This one sounds alot more conflicting though since it has big names in both.

Was the low budget one done by a production company called The Asylum? Because they put out a low budget ripoff of pretty much every major movie that comes out. http://www.theasylum.cc/

And they're very up front about what they do: http://www.theasylum.cc/blog/2011/03/a-truly-original-post/

I don't know, I never watched it, I just remember seeing previews for it before Netflix movies and mixing it up with the other BIG budget one until they started showing what it was about. That's when it became real apparent that it was not the same movie at all and was more like a SyFy movie instead.
