Look up Rebecca Black with her song Friday  on ARK music or whatever their name is. They are a company comprised of several 35+ year old men who employ kids between 8-13yrs old to sing the songs that they have written for them. I thnk they had something like 5 or more artist at teh moment and all their videos are up on youtube if you look. They are HORRIBLE and crafted to be sold to other children that don't know any better.

Oh god, I saw that Rebecca Black video the other day, it is HILARIOUSLY bad.

Raising Hope is pretty good, i was trying to ignore it..for fear that if i watched it they would take it off..now what type of damn sense does that make. Damn networks!!! Fucking with my mind.

I've been watching the show since the second episode and keep thinking "Man, it's going to suck when FOX cancels this show next season..."

Raising Hope is awesome.  Everyone should be watching it.

Since we're on the topic of Raising Hope, do either of you have a favorite character?

The show was already renewed for a 2nd season before the 5th episode was even aired.

favorite character is probably the dad, he has some pretty funny lines.

The last show i was watching on fox that was new was Sons of Tucson..which was funny, but at the same time was obviously not filmed in Tucson. OF course that would only annoy you if you were from Tucson.

LOL I told you it was horrible, as it's music of manufacture. At least tubgirl was doing something of passion for her, spontaneous & requiring a skill in her craft.

If you are willing to make yourself look retarded with the intelligence of a little kid (i.e. double rainbow guy), it's quite easy. Most of the famous people on YouTube (the majority of which I think are stupid and not funny) get that way for making themselves look like idiots.

Darren Aronofsky has announced that he will no longer be directing The Wolverine. He said the reason is that the schedule would have kept him out of the country for almost a year and he did not want to be away from his family for that long. He said he loved the script and was looking forward to working with Hugh Jackman.

We can all breathe a sigh of relief, as NBC has renewed Community and Parks and Recreation for next season. The best comedies on television get another chance to attract an audience that's been too ignorant to find them so far.

Meh, I never got into Community and I hate Parks and Recreation. Good for the fans of those shows though. I think we all know that Community probably only keeps getting renewed because NBC doesn't have great ratings in general anymore. The show's ratings are not that good, and if the show was on CBS or FOX it probably would have got canceled already. It's the same way that CBS will cancel a show that gets 10 million viewers, while The CW's best show only gets like 4 million viewers (so they would kill to have one of their shows get 10 million viewers). It's a good example of what channel a show airs on having an effect on whether it gets renewed or not.

Hooray for renewed Parks & Rec!  It seems that these days if I like a TV comedy there is always the fear of cancellation hanging in the background.  It is like mainstream TV tastes are so far removed from my tastes that if I like something I can almost assume that hardly anyone else is watching it.  It didn't used to be that way as I was never worried about Seinfeld or The Simpsons being canned and those shows are still funny to me.

I no longer fear The Office being cancelled but that show is just not as good anymore.  It's like when a show is truly funny, no one watches it, but if it finds an audience it becomes cliche and generic.  It's probably the networks coming to the conclusion that now that the audience is there the jokes have to be broader to keep that audience and they'll point to the earlier funnier seasons as "proof".  "See, when the show had clever gags no one was watching but as we've dumbed it down the ratings get better and better!"  Of course the real reason is probably that word of mouth over several seasons allows a show to build an audience.

I'll blame reality shows.  They are the ideal scapegoat for all of TV's problems.

It's people like you who are killing network television.

I watch plenty of network shows, including: Glee, The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad!, The Cleveland Show, Bob's Burgers, The Big Bang Theory, Hell's Kitchen, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, sometimes NCIS. I also watch a lot of shows that used to be network shows before being canceled. NBC has canceled a lot of great shows that were good (one of my favorites being My Name is Earl, which ended on a cliffhanger).

Kevin Costner has signed on to play Jonathan Kent (Superman's adopted human father) in the new Zack Snyder Superman movie.

Costner seems too young to me to play that role.  In the original film the Kents were already pretty old when they found Superman.  His father's death of heart attack is a pretty key scene.  Costner is younger than my dad so for his age to work he would have found Superman when he was under 40.  That just doesn't fit to me.  The Kents seem like they should be past child bearing age and thus adopt Superman as their only son.  Costner would actually fit better as Jor-El.

Though I'm not very familiar with the details of the comic so maybe this is more accurate?
