Title: Mafia XLI:Looney Toons Signup thread

Marvin the Martian has grown tired of being out smarted by Bugs and Company. So he decided to take his whole Martian fleet to where the Majority of the Looney Toons reside and transform them into Martians so he has no opposition in the world of Looney Toons. Bad or Good Toon.He doesn't care. The Looney Toons fearing for their lives has decided to do something about it. Bugs Bunny is leading the charge for his friends and foes. Will Marvin have his way? Will Taz eat everybody up? Will Bugs and Company survive? You will decide what happens.
Another note.Whatever happens in this game will carry over to the next Mafia Looney Toons game as far as story goes. Game begins 1-11-2010.Will send out roles after Sign ups.
Voting rules: You must vote every 3 days.If you do not vote on the 3rd day you are gone.Also when you vote you have to keep your first vote visable. Unvote your first vote and any other votes after and make a new post with your new vote.If you do not comply with that you do that once you are given a warning.2nd time you are out of the game. Ties If the vote changer is dead then there will be one 30 min period. Whoever has their votes in can not change their votes. Someone that hasn't voted must break the tie. If after the 30 min period the vote hasn't changed then nobody dies.If everybody has voted and it is a tie than first vote change will decide the vote. Roles Townies Investigator-Bugs Bunny is the Investigator this game. He can investigate any player in the game.He will get the results when I send it to him.Marvin the Martian shows up as townie to him.Everybody else shows as their role.
Doctor- Granny this game is the doctor. This game the doctor can protect anyone she wants except herself. She can protect against Marvins or Taz's hits each night.
Town Whore- AKA (Vote Changer)Lola Bunny She can change someones vote in the day thread.She cannot create a tie but she can break a tie.
Random Looney Toon character(Townie) These toons job will be to try and vote out the Mafia.
Mafia Marvin the Martian: This game Marvin is the Godfather this game.He will show up as a townie to Bugs Bunny.He PMs me his hit each night.Can send it early. Hits are not time dependent.All actions happen.Will choose next GF if killed or voted out.If he chooses the Martian Queen she can not protect herself but can protect the goons. The Martian Queen:She is the Doctor this game for the Mafia. Can protect anybody but herself.Will have 5 protections for the whole game.
Instant Martians. Number will be based on sign ups. Has no extra abilities.
Other Roles Taz the Killer. He is out for himself this game. He wants to be the last one standing.Can send me a name of who to kill each night.

I'll join up as Foghorn Leghorn.
No offensive, but I think you should rethink some of the role characters, who the hell cares about Granny or The Martian Queen? Also you could easily make a mafia consisting of more interesting characters than Marvin the Martian.
Just seems like a bit of a waste of a good theme.

Wasn't Birdo in the Mario Brothers cartoon? I tried to find some pics of that but did not see any.
I found a mommy and baby Birdo in the second episode of the show but only in video form, no pics.

Also I would appreciate it if you guys roleplay using your selected Toons.
Edit:I put a link to a very good Looney toons site. It has lots of info on the characters and even some pictures of the characters. Even the more obscure Toons.

I just googled 'Looney Toons' and found some lists.
I always typically try to role-play but once the game gets closer to finish and critical moves are being made I tend to unconsciously drop the act because I am focused to drumming support finding out who is who and working potential voters. So pretty much the first day or two or three are roleplay days. It's also easier to roleplay on day one because you have less of a clue what is happening at that point and it is nice to fill the thread with some banter.

Yeah, I've been wondering about Thatguy. Khush always seems to disappear and return for the next game so I don't seem to notice his absences as much.

Nuts. Foghorn was taken. While I am tempted to take one of the goofy gophers (Mac and Tosh), you need someone to play along with you. Therefore, I'll take the best remaining character, Daffy Duck and check in.

Hmm the ACME Corperation...I guess you could be that. Hmm 15 people signed up. Hmm if we keep 15 people than I think this is how roles are going to be. Investigator,Doctor, Vote Changer and 7 normal townies.
Marvin The Martian, The Martian Queen, and 2 Instant Martians.
Other Roles.Taz the Killer Any other signups and I'll add those to the townies. Is that balanced?

Seems pretty balanced to me. Even if things works out perfectly for the mafia, they couldn't win until after the third day.
You might want to consider adding some limitations to the mafia doctor role--make it so he can only make 3 protections during the course of the game or only protect each person once, or something like that.

With 15 players it will take 5 days for everyone to die. Even if the killer dies on day one the game shouldn't last more than 7 days if both other deaths occur each day.

Ugh, let us not speak of the atrocities of that cartoon. That was actually the first episode produced, even though it wasn't the first to air. With the vagueness of Mario characters, they took many liberties with them, including giving Birdo the ability of flight. Birdo is not a bird! There was also a second episode which featured a "Thunder Birdo" who was wheeled around like a tank.
In any case, I've found something on deviantART which sort of fits. Maybe.
