Phoenix Wright's latest case will hit North America and Europe on October 24.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/35445

Capcom has announced that Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, will be simultaneously released in both North America and Europe on the Nintendo 3DS eShop on October 24.

In addition to the game, Capcom also plans to release the DLC that’s currently available in Japan: including the additional episode, Turnabout Return, and a costume pack.

Dual Destinies is the first new Ace Attorney game to be released in the West since Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth was released in 2010.

The game has been available in Japan since July 25. It will be priced at $29.99 and €24.99, in North America and Europe respectively.

Agreed.  I'll take the risk on a $5-$10 eShop game, but I'm not spending $30 without having any consumer protections.  Looks like Capcom doesn't get my money.

They'll get my money. My love for this genre of gaming is greater than my love for physical media.

Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

I think they would get mine, if there was an account system in place. As is? pffffft nooope.

I agree as well. I've played every game in the main series so far (haven't played the Miles one), but I'll probably miss this one. I just don't spend that much on a download.

You guys are nuts. I only download games on my Wii U. It's not near as big of a deal as everyone makes it out to be.

Fans of the series are annoyed because now they can't buy the cart used for 5 bucks, and then resell it.

Ok, I can understand that point. I just didn't think of it because I don't have a habbit of selling my used games and I always buy games new because I want the developers to make money off it and if I buy used Gamestop is the only one making money.

I don't resell ANY of my games, that's not why I want a cart.

With nintendo download games you are totally at their whim if you lose your system or it is destroyed. Ask dr metts how awesome it is to not have an account system.

You forgot the upside to Johnny's story. He got the games back! Right now most of my 3DS games are cartridges sitting in my case. If me 3DS (usually sitting in the case) were lost or stollen I'd be out 20 games, but I have 5 games on the system and yes I'd have to jump through a few hoops, but they would give me those digital games back on my next 3DS, but I'd just be out of luck with the cartridges. Your kids can't lose a digital game even if they delete it you can just re-download it.

I didn't say I don't want Nintendo to improve their system.
I said if my choices are buy physical copies of my 3DS games or digital copies of them I understand the pros and cons of both and I like the digital better.
I don't have the choice to force Nintendo to offer me the same system that Sony or Microsoft uses. So if I want games on my 3DS or Wii U I have to choose.

As for this conversation, if my choice is to buy a digital copy of a game I really want or just not buy it I'll buy it digitally without any hesitation.

I'm with you Leo13. When it comes to dilemmas like this, I think a little Shakespeare is in order:

'Tis better to have loved and downloaded than to never have loved at all.

You just don't understand. It's about principles.

They're far more fun to play than new videogame in my favourite series.
