I'm going to pre-order asap because if its going to be only ordered via online the number of units is going to be pretty damn small.

I loved my Gamecube. Mind you I really only played Phantasy Star Online but still. I find it amusing that the only games that were really online for the Gamecube were MMO's.

They they were awesome! PSO ep III was my fav too bad it died pretty quick but its a gem that only GCN has.

I just can't get worked up about voice acting. I hate extended cut scenes in games, and have since FF VII popularized that nefarious trend back in the day. Stuff now like Mass Effect where spoken dialogue is extremely pervasive doesn't really bother me, but I always, always skip through dialogue as soon as I finish reading the subtitles. So it's not so much an immersive presentation as one with a bunch of jerky jumps between half-finished sentences. It takes too long to listen to dialogue in an interactive context, though I agree with the poster above about Half-Life 2's approach.

Frankly I think games moving heavily toward pretensions of "storytelling" is a pox on the art form and that Zelda would do well to avoid going in that direction.

Only in games like Deus Ex,LA Noir,Mass Effect where you have to 'read' ppl I think voice acting truly necessary.

Link being a mute doesn't have anything to do with the NPCs talking. The main argument for the series not to have voice acting seems to be around Link's voice and the "Zelda tradition." Whatever tradition you think is there is mostly in your head. The series needs to keep growing, and since it's been moving in to a story telling direction, voice acting is the way to go.

Maybe I'm just old fashion but I still believe great stories can still be told via text...js...

A fully voiced Link....eww..

While it was ok for Samus because she has been having her own dialog since Super Metroid, Link(or Links) is/are different. What people keep forgeting is Link IS YOU and is nothing more than an avatar.

I hope they don't go the TP route by building up a story then dropping it half way in.

what are you talking about? the ending was the best moment I've ever seen in a Zelda game!

True the ending was awesome one of my favorites too. But roughly midway in the game the story was dropped almost completely and the game was just get to the next dungeon with not much to tie them together. Yes I know most Zelda games are this way but TP kinda made you think it was going to have epic story cutscenes throughout like begining put it failed. Hell, I remember reading an interview on this site that said they did this on purpose to mimic OoT. TP was fan service

IMO Star Fox Command was the best since 64. I'm hoping Nintendo takes the ending..... SPOILERS

With Fox's son as the leader of the new Star Fox team and reinvent the series from that ending.

The reason why the series had so much change in gameplay was to keep it fresh but kinda failed at the process. If we had consecutive Star Fox games that played like original /64 on each platform since it would have gotten old by now.
But at this point Nintendo could release a new game just like the classic and it would be fresh and new again, lol.

I only played Z.O.E on the GBA and that was an awesome game with a damn good story.  I highly doubt the new game will be like that one but anything could happen.

One of my favorite Metroid moments is from Other M.The young and naive cutscene. Why? Well to see a character the I grew up with to finally show a soft side was truly remarkable. It just shows that even the baddest badasses have emotions as well.

If Soild Snake can cry why can't Samus have her moment?

I myself really don't care for photo real-realism in graphics and find it as an "easy way out" and gets boring after a while.....

Cloud gaming/storage anyone? I have a feeling Nintendo is going to do something "cloud" based this time around.
