I play exclusively on the gamepad because of the text issue as I have a standard def TV.

I know a few others who are active as well. We could try to assemble a team some time soon.

I picked up Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate  on a digital sale some time ago.  Starting over and getting back into it seems so daunting, but I could be persuaded to pick it up again, too.

I did purchase Valiant Hearts on Steam, and I can't wait to play it.  I love history and the time period around World War I, as sad as it is.  Since both this and Child of Light were both made using the same engine, I have to wonder why Ubi chose to release Child of Light on the Wii U but not Valiant Hearts.

Sundoulos, join us in the Monster Hunter thread. Ejamer just got the game as well and Polepal is also willing to play. I know of a few other people who could also join us so we should get a game going some time.

I need an excuse to get back into that game, so I might be able to play too.

Thanks to a combination of a beast mode at a casino while on vacation and some trade promos, I got Pushmo World, Rayman Legends, Assassin's Creed IV and Darksiders II off the eShop. Going to use the DDP to get Shovel Knight once that kicks in tomorrow. (Also locked in a Platinum for 2015 on July 1.)

A few days ago I picked up LittleBigPlanet Vita when I saw it for $20 at Best Buy. I always meant to get it and it seemed like a fair price. I don't think it's been on PS+ yet in North America either and if it has, I guess it's too late now...
I usually try not to go on big buying sprees and just buy what I know I'll immediately play.

LittleBigPlanet on the Vita's one of my favorite games for the system. Try out Tearaway as well, if you haven't yet! :)

I'm not sure why, but from a control/playability standpoint I think the Vita LittleBigPlanet is way better than the PS3 ones, which I didn't enjoy at all.

Intriguing. I've always like the idea of LittleBigPlanet but found the controls to be so poor that it ruined the experience for me. If the Vita version controls better that would make the game very appealing.

I'm pretty sure there's a demo of it on PSN, so check it out. It still a bit floaty and lacks the precision of something like a Mario game, but I found it to be much less of an issue the way they did it there.

It might be that the Vita's left stick has far less "give" to it than the Dualshock 3's, so by necessity your movement HAS to be "snappier".

But yeah, LittleBigPlanet Vita is pretty easily the best of the LBP games so far. The fact that The Vita team is working on LBP 3 means that that game is dangerously close to potentially being good.

I just purchased a Wii U with Nintendo Land and picked up Mario Kart 8. Once the Wii U is repaired, I can start!

Also grabbed a copy of Too Human for three bucks at GameStop. It's supposed to be bad, but I got it for the development history and my appreciation of Silicon Knights and Denis Dyack. Based on all the reviews, I downloaded Shovel Knight for 3DS, too. Going to try that one soon!

I enjoyed Too Human despite its flaws. It's not complete garbage or anything; if you know what you're getting into you can have a good time with it in spite of itself. If it had gotten the sequel they intended for it could have been really great.

Bought a LG 42LM3700.  Got it for $380.  I thought it do well for a PS4 TV up in my Room upstairs since that PS3 has beat the PS4 into a bloody pulp as the Living room machine.

Now I do have to say that after Getting the TV I found a Sanyo for $350 at Walmart same everything except instead of 3D it had a VGA connection.  That probably would have fit my needs a little better since the PS4 for all intents and purposes doesn't do 3D.  Oh well, hopefully they'll update it because I have a rather large 3D Blu-Ray collection.

You dun goofed dude.

Rayman 3d is a bad, bad, bad port. Headache inducing framerate and ghosting-ridden 3d.

I would take DS port over it (Ubisoft so lazy they rehashed the same game twice on two consecutive nintendo handheld launches).

Between World Cup fever and Insano's praise I am ordering the FIFA Wii U game. Debating what else I will order with it. Lot's of quality U software is only $20. May grab Wonderful 101, Rayman Legends and Deus Ex as well.

Target (Canada) is at it again.

New Super Mario Bros U - $10
The Wonderful 101 - $10

Windwaker was the same price but was unfortunately sold out locally. Too bad, because that would have been a nice pickup.

I considered Ninja Gaiden 3, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Wii Fit U, and Arkham Origins all at $10... but none of those games seemed like something I'm keen to play. (Came close on Scribblenauts, but would rather get Scribblenauts Unlimited instead of the DC Superheroes version.)  Also, motion plus Wii remotes are marked down to $10, which would be hard to pass up if we didn't already have a bunch of controllers at home.

I've picked up some console stuff lately, but nothing really worth talking about as of yet (for instance, picked up Last of Us Remastered, but it'll be sitting on the Shelf for a while).

I guess I'm a filthy casual, though, because I got a new T-Mobile OnePlusOne phone today, and decided to finally try some games on it now that I finally have a decent phone.  I've dabbled with some of them:

Dead Space (Android) - Surprisingly good and more faithful to the Dead Space experience than Extraction on the Wii. The aiming controls kind of suck. This is a game reliant on careful aiming and firing, yet aiming AND firing are mapped to the right side of the screen.  ::) And what genius decided to map "shoot" on your gun to the same command used to open containers & interact with objects, though? It's a little repetitive because it follows the Dead Space 1 formula of "walk into a room, doors lock, and you shoot everything until they stop moving.  Overall, surprisingly decent so far.

Deux Ex: The Fall (Android) - The controls work surprisingly well (to deal with the problem that you may occasionally want to aim & shoot or move & shoot, there's a firing button on both sides of the screen) and the game feels very faithful to Human Revolution. So far it's just been all-shooting, though. No questing or dialog trees so far, though the game's teasing that they're coming.

Hitman Go - Addictive little puzzle game. I can't stand the console Hitman games, but this one kind of clicks with me.

I don't plan on making this a habit (I'd have gladly played all 3 of these games on my Vita, just to have stick support), but in the disease-ridden sewer that is the mobile market, there is some decent stuff in there.

Military Madness (TG16 on VC):
Got this through my club nintendo points.

Cool game in the style Famicom/Advance Wars. I mainly got this because i had 600 remaining points through CN and 600 is exactly how much TG-16 games cost on VC. Also i remembered how Dr. Sparkles liked it (i did also kinda wanted to get Biomiracle Upa which also costs 600 more than regular NES games because it's "import" or something).

It plays decently enough, for such an old game. Though i wonder if all levels are single screen only. First two levels were simple enough but third is already a challenge.

Geo effects, units getting experience and formation bonuses is neat. It's kinda shame it doesn't save between levels but ah well.
