THIS IS THE PROBLEM!

Casual gamers and non-gamers DON'T read into things. They're all going to stay with what your first impression was.

I just want to make clear that I'm not a casual gamer...I repeat I'm not a casual gamer...thank you for your time.Well I think the comment wasnt at me, my friends where with me while I was reading it over at another gaming site..I was mad at first but then I started reading more into it and saw the possibilities while my friends where all goin WHINE WHINE WHINE. Alas I was the only one that saw this as a good thing instead of a bad thing. This is the problem, the first impression you make is the one that'll take the console thru all it's lifetime.Think of the GC and N64, if you dont make a good impression, then your done. And I can't say if this is the right impressionor not. People are so use to the way game are played, and taking this risk can make you or break you, but still it takes guts to do this kind of thing and for this I will be one of the firsts on the line for the revolution to come home.

At first I thought what a piece of... but then I started reading more carefuly and saw some posibilities. Those who risk it all win it all, so as a nintendo fanboy I'm still hurt for all the things that has happened in the past and I still am. But things like this makes the lost fanboy inside me scream in joy. I hope that when the games come out the real nintendo fanboy in me comes out too for the sake of me.

TalkBack / RE:Castlevania DS Revealed
« on: January 05, 2005, 03:55:40 AM »
Why do u guys complain so much? Remember this is the first generation of DS games and it's going to be hard for the devs to come up with something innovative at first. You all heard the saying if it aint broken dont fix it. Personally I think this is a greast idea, the first Castlevania DS to have some features is ok with me. Then the next Castlevania DS game should come up with some original stuff for the DS.

I hope this game sells well (anyone  knows how many copies  have being sold?) so we can see another high quality game from The Behemoth.

A reviewer is supposed to give his own opinion because he is "supposed" to be well informed and have a good knowledge of games so that he can give an accurate view of a game's quality without allowing public opinion to affect the final review.  Everyone knows that in regards to entertainment that just because something is popular doesn't mean it's good and tons of good stuff is completely ignored.  The gaming public are ignorant boobs.  Those of us who actually read reviews before buying a game want a real opinion.  If you're not interested in Paper Mario 2 you're going to ignore the review anyway.  Give the game a score that's relevant to those interested in the game.

Plus using the "gaming public" arguement every Cube game is going to get a low score because the gaming public plays mostly PS2.

All this explanation does it show that the review, and thus the entire magazine, is worthless.

This is so true. Yesterday I was telling a friend of mine about gamespots review and all he told me was that everyones tired of mario that its just for kids and all people want was blood, blood and more blood. He started to compare it with Halo 2, MKD, and GTA:SA but can u really compare those games to a Mario game? Yes it's true that the general public has change but to me it's all mainstream advertising and Nintendo its guilty of not advertising thier games enough. MP was advertise for like what? 2 , 3 weeks? while GTA:VC was commercials have been on like forever. Back to the topic: I dont understand how GI score this game so low, I think the reviewers where on acid or something  and now their inbox are loaded with rabid flaming emails.I like most of GI's reviews but this one was not the case.I really like to hear what's Billy's and the PGC  staff take on this. Some mags are famous for giving previews of games and getting the game hype up and then bashing it to hell when the review comes out.

There's an extensive review over at gamestop.com and all i got to say is wow. A 9.3 from those guys its great since Ive read their reviews and most of them rate games in craptacular fashion. So iam really happy that this site is giving the credit this game deservs, i guess ill have to work on weekends to see if i can buy it when its realeased...sigh.. or i could just buy it and not gta:sa ..althought thats not likely to happend.... i guess ill buy it in december...oh well...

I played the DK Konga demo at mmy local gamestop and all I can say is this game is super sweet! I played all the songs in the demo in monkey mode and I had a blast with this game. I guess I'll have to wait a couple of months but I'll try to get it later with another conga controller cause this game is sure to be even more fun with multiplayer mode. So anyone has it? Played it with 2 or more people? Comments?

Nintendo Gaming / RE:GBA-games using touchscreen?
« on: October 08, 2004, 02:36:45 PM »
This is Awesome - O. It's just like the other GB systems. Remember the legend of zelda games that where on GB but if u played them on gba u could unlock new stuff? Nintendo always do this with their handheld systems (or at least at the start ) And what about the gb games that added color on ur gbc system? This for me  is just  another reason to buy the DS.

Um if u have seen Halo 2 u know the game looks pretty sweet with lots of new weapons, maps and vehicles, plus (drum roll please) online play. GTA:SA also has a robbery system where u can rob houses, some are easy some arent. And yes there's some realism with the "get fat"  system and also you can customize ur character. So new ideas are implemented on both games.(Yes I know custom stuff have being around forever.)

Am I the only one that thinks this launch is good? Lots of 3rd party support? MP demo with ur ds plus picto chat? I for one think that althought this is not the "best" launch ever its still a good launch. And I think Nintendo learned something and that's they need 3rd party support and the DS is having 3rd party support. Here is hoping that when the "Revolution" comes out its launch has a ton of 1st and  3rd party support.

Well we all know the GC system are good, but as with all electronic hardware some of this units come defective. How many times have OEMs bought computer parts just to go back to the store to return them because they are broken ( this happends a lot). So if you saved your receipts go back to the store and if they cant help you (which they should) call Nintendo im sure they will help you. A friend of mine had his cube broke and the Big N send a UPS guy to pick the system at no extra charge. A week later he had his cube fixed and at home. This shows you how responsible Nintendo is with their customers.

The "prototype" looks sweet and sick too. I was reading the IGN article and it says that it's a homage to the chainsaw guy in the RE 4 game and if players aren't careful the guy can chop Leon's head off. This leads to my question to you guys: Are you going to let the chainsaw guy ripp Leon's head? I'm sure I will when I get surprised by that MoFo. And is there a movie out there with the chainsaw guy doing this to Leon?

OMG I just saw the opening movie and this game rules!!! The presentation was awesome and from what I saw the battle system is impressive. Not only does it look like a great anime - rpg game but to be able to play with ur friends (with out spending big $$$) is sweet. One question to those who already have played it, is the game long? 20 hours? 40+ hours? And when its coming out? Is it late july or early july? All I can say is that I can't wait for this game to come by cause it looks like my summer just got a lot better than it is already .

Well i was at my local gamestop and i buyed the legend of zelda for my gba, but then i started looking thru the gc games and found the zelda collectors edition for 29   bucks. After much thinking (NOT!) remembering the store clerck saying u have 7 days to return it, I return the gba copy, took out the gamestop card and payed like 7 more bucks for 3 more games and some other goodies this gc disc comes with. The disc didnt had any scrach and i think it was barely played, since im a zelda fan i think i got a nice deal, dont u agree?

Thanks for the tips guys, i'll have to go to some other stores to check out and some pawn shops too ( when i get my car fixed that is) I used to have  dkc and 2,legend of zelda. I think ill try to get loz first and FF 3, althought i finished it i want to play it with the snes controller. Also i'll try to get chrono. I didnt wanted to take out my snes my mom made me do it but oh well gaming nostalgia has come back to me and as i see sometimes it can be a bit expensive sometimes it wont be. As  i got stories for the games i got i'll post them here. Btw i have a friend of mine that told me he has killer instic. I think if i offer him 5 bucks for it he'll sell it to me ( hes 12 years old so i guess he will ) Hopefully soon i'll start playing that game. Secret of  mana is a great game but my ai partners keep dying on me wich makes the game even harder than it is. A few tips that u guys can post will be gladly taken. Remember kids ...go old school.

« on: June 01, 2004, 08:25:36 AM »
I thought of doing this threat since i havent seen this anywhere in this forum. Last Saturday
my dad got me an old snes and it works, it came ou with Secret of Mana. I have never played Secret of Mana ( I always thought rpgs where boring when I was a kid, dont ask me why but I have always been a zelda fan, ironic isn't it?),this game is good. Well now im looking for good games  like FF3, zelda 3, and others. I did an ebay search and this games are selling for premium bucks! Do u guys think this will happend to gc games? Yes I know u can find many roms out there of snes games, but I still think its not the same when u have the snes controller. So now im going retro, looking for old school games, has anyone gone retro and what thoughts u could give me on this.
