Mighty Switch Force 2 Rated for Release on Wii U
« on: July 13, 2013, 08:43:28 PM »

You may be catching the Hooligan Sisters once again on Wii U.

Mighty Switch Force 2 has been rated for the Wii U by PEGI, the European ratings board.

This is shortly after developer WayForward teased a Wii U release. While there hasn't been an official confirmation, this means a Wii U release is extremely likely.

The game originally released on the 3DS eShop June 13 in North America and June 27 in PAL regions.

As time goes on, I'm less and less likely to buy games without crossbuy when I know they will be on both systems. Shame.

I actually bought this on 3DS this week. I enjoyed the first game but wasn't it's biggest fan, but I was in the mood for something fast and challenging and MSF2 fit the bill. It still has the same problems as the first game (namely, the levels become increasingly convoluted as the game goes on, while other levels require complete memorisation in order to beat the Par times) but it also has the same things I like about the first one. Speed running in platformers does hold a certain appeal for me.
Gouge away.

This is awesome!!! I loved Switch Force HD on Wii U! One of my fave games to date. I will definitely be picking this up when it hits!!!! Thank you way Forward.

I will also note that I am specifically waiting for the Wii U version because I loved the crisp look of the artwork on my Wii U game pad and HD TV. Not to mention the soundtrack is way better coming out of something substantial like my tv.
