Yearly recap the Connectivity way.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/connectivity/28893

2011 is OVER. You know what that means. It means we're going to recap the hell out of it. In episode 16 of Connectivity Zach, Danny, and Patrick talk briefly about the last few downloadable releases for the 3DS eShop. On top of that, Neal and Scott join Zach in a nice long breakdown of their favorite Nintendo and NONtendo games of the year. Start 2012 off right and shove this in your earholes. I promise you'll enjoy.

Make it your resolution to email us your questions by clicking here. There's a good chance you'll hear it on the show.

So much for the hockey segment this week, unless you were waiting for after the gong show that was Bruins/Canucks.

We didn't have time to record it in time to make it into this episode. It should be in next week's, as we're planning to record on Monday right now, giving Scott some time to come up with excuses for his Blackhawks losing to my Flyers.

Non-tendo is pretty decent. I remember reading online a good Nintendo one-liner that someone else wrote; I’m sure some of you have heard this: Sony does what’s been Nintendone; (in reference to Sony recognizing Nintendo’s strategies).

JP, I would rather lose a meaningless cross-conference game than the Winter Classic to a divisional opponent. BOOM.

My four favorite games will have one taken from four Nintendo platforms, because I'd like to be diverse. On the downloads, I'd say Freakyforms, Your Creations Alive! because it's terribly silly and charming. For DS, it'd be Pokemon Black/White because it hits the formula well and is very enthralling. For 3DS and Wii, it'd be Super Mario 3D Land and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for pretty much the same reasons listed. The first three-quarters of the year was certainly dark but the last quarter was brilliant.
This is where I would write something witty or funny if I had any ideas.

My favourite Non-tendo game was most likely Terraria. A freeform exploratory and combat game that's best played without external information (and with the Guide giving out crafting recipes that's completely doable now, unlike Minecraft where you need a wiki for the basic gameplay) so the discovery of all the things in it is full of surprises. Don't worry about what's in the game, just buy and play it.

I haven't really gotten into Skyward Sword (don't enjoy the motion controls) so Xenoblade and Mario Land are the top spots on Nintendo systems for me.
